My apologies for not responding your inquiry in a timely manner. I know how frustrating that can be. Due to the nature of my work, I don't have an assistant answering my phone so some times I get a little behind. I appreciate your impute. I hope you found someone to help with your project.

This is the second time I have hired Tracy to tackle a tricky organizing job. I had interviewed two other organizers but Tracy had such a positive, energetic and resourceful approach that she was the obvious choice. The first time I hired Tracy she helped me de-clutter my packed garage, and dealt with some big piles of stuff that I had accumultated in the house. This job involved sorting and packing delicate glassware and collectibles from a large entertainment center and sorting and organizing the contents of my pantry. Each time she was able to determine the best way to deal with the "stuff" - keep, donate, recycle, shred, sell, trash. Aside from her excellent organizing ability, what I really appreciated about Tracy was her compassion, sensitivity and sense of humor. There were some difficult choices to make but she was able to guide me through them and keep on going. Both times, after she left I felt a huge weight had been lifted. I have recommended her to anyone with "clutter" issues (everyone I know) and I will definitely be calling her again when I am ready to tackle my closets.
Description of Work: Sorted and packed the contents of a large entertainment center. Organized a pantry. Assessed and advised regarding future organizing projects around the house.

They were very professional, friendly, organized and made a lot of good suggestions. They were responsive and got back to me right away and were in contact with me either through phone or E-mail. All the crew members were skilled, neat and they even cleaned up after themselves. They knew what they were doing and did everything that I wanted them to do. They disposed all the electronic waste and even donated things to different organizations.
Description of Work: They cleared out my garage and did some consolidation work.

Calling dclutterfly/dclutterguy was one of the smartest things I have ever done! There is no way my parents and I could have gotten through all of their stuff, even in 2 months, and these guys did it in 2 and a half days. I initially emailed Tracy McCubbin, who returned my email in one day, and we arranged to meet at my parents for a free estimate. Tracy and CJ came out exactly when they said they would and carefully walked through all the areas that needed organizing and sorting. They were extremely aware of how people cling to their possessions even when they recognize they have too much and will never use them. They also advised us about some things we had that were more valuable than we knew, and we thought we were pretty good at knowing what was valuable. I found them to be honest and forthright. Tracy has an accounting background and also several years of working with all types of people in many walks of life and is especially talented in listening to the feelings behind the words. One day after visiting us, CJ called and told me in detail what they would do and how much it would cost. We couldn't get started for about 5 more days due to our schedules, and CJ continued to work on finding people who might want to buy the stained glass supplies and calling me to keep me informed. He never seemed as if her were in a rush when speaking to me or when working at our home - he kept a steady pace and took time to listen. Ben worked steadily and with great sensitivity towards our old scrapbooks, correspodence and memories. The guys cleaned up more than I expected and even raked up some leaves so that everything looked clean and organized. I was really impressed with how they wanted to make sure that we got rid of everything we didn't want while they were still there, so that we wouldn't procrastinate and maybe never get around to it after they left. They were very concerned that our place look and feel better, and that we felt better because we were not stressed by all the junk in disarry that we had been looking at for years. I had been concerned that my dad would not let go of the excessive building supplies that he had been hoarding for 40+ years, but in the end he got rid of most of it, even though it was hard at first. Tracy had told me that after a few days of seeing everything organized and being able to get to his stuff he would feel better, and she was right! Two days after everything was finished, my dad was very happy. Having dclutterfly/dclutterguy come out was the best idea ever, and I would do it again. I had also talked to two other companies before deciding on dclutterguy and I know I made the right decision with this company because we had so much lifting and heavy, dusty work to do. These guys were the best!
Description of Work: DCLUTTERGUY works in partnership with DCLUTTERFLY, a company already well rated in Angie's List. The dclutterguys came out to my parents house and helped us organize an extremely cluttered large room built behind the garage and a carport full of many years' accumulation of stuff. Two skilled, clean guys came out and spent 2 and a half days taking everything out of the spaces, categorizing it, sorting it into things that we could donate, sell, throw away, or keep. They helped us make decisions about what was worth keeping and what was not. Then they beautifully put back and organized the things we had decided to keep. They were wonderfully careful with everything and even hung pictures and decorated. I was really impressed with how thorough they were: my mom is an artist and had masses of stained glass art materials including heavy glass, glass "globs," lead and other things that we want to sell. They took every bit of the stained glass out, organized all the supplies, and put them back where it would be easy for us to sell later. They also arranged for a truck to come to the house and pick up the substantial pile of stuff that could be recycled or thrown away. The two guys, CJ and Ben, did ALL of the lifting, dusting, hauling and arranging. The only thing my parents and I had to do was to decide what should stay and what should go. This can be tricky because many people have a hard time letting go of things they've kept for 50 years, even if they never use it. These guys are very experienced with that aspect of decluttering and were sensitive to my parents's feelings. These guys planned their time well, worked more than 8 hours on the second day, and finished up exactly when they said they would without rushing or pressure. They also provided their own tools, giant trash bags, and gloves. They explained everything ahead of time, stuck to the price they had quoted, and even helped us find people or organizations that might want to buy the things we want to sell. They would have delivered the stuff we wanted to donate but we chose to donate it to the Assistance League in the city where we live. Ben even went with me to help unload it at the Assistance League and provided a sheet where we could write down everything we donated for tax purposes.

My experience with dClutterfly was very enjoyable. Tracy managed to make the experience stress free, and actually fun. And I was very happy with the results. She took all the junk in my garage @ closets to help me figure out what I wanted to get rid of (donate - she has charities she works with which made letting go a lot easier) and what I wanted to hold on to. The stuff I held on to, she put into very logical spacial categories. After the job, she's easily reachable for followup questions. I highly recommend dClutterfly and would use them again.
Description of Work: This was my first exprience with a company like dClutterfly. I'm a horribly unorganized person and needed to get my life straightened out. Tracy came for a free consultation, surveyed the situation, asked many questions about my lifestyle and the way I live, then hatched a tailored plan of attack to organize my kitchen, office, closets and garage...basically my life.

It went extremely well. Our time is extremely limited at the moment as we have an energetic 1 year old. Tracy came to our home over the period of 4 days and created workable systems and solutions that we can execute in the limited time we have. I love everything that she did and she recommended a number of other changes and vendors to help us with other issues. She was a little higher than the original estimate because we decided to keep her longer to finish some additional work.
Description of Work: Complete home office reorganization including sorting through stacks of documents, expanding and creating files, furniture and workspace modification and purchasing organizational tools and accessories. Also assisted in setting up iCal on a Mac.

They are very nice and professional. BUT, the quote to organize my garage and guest room came in at 800 per day for 3 to 4 days. My garage floor is 2/3 covered in boxes The guest room is very disorganized. BUT both have lots of storage space and I had a drawing of where I wanted things to go. Based on the reviews I read in Angies List I had expected the bid to come in much lower.

I'M SORRY THE MEMBER DIDN'T LET US KNOW SHE WAS CONFUSED ABOUT THE AMOUNT OF THE ESTIMATE. THERE MAY HAVE BEEN A MISUNDERSTANDING ON OUR PART ABOUT HOW MUCH DECLUTTERING SHE WANTED TO DO. BASED ON OUR CONSULT MEETING, WE WERE UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT SHE WANTED TO DO A MAJOR PURGE (SORTING THROUGH ALL OF THE BOXES) AND COMPLETE REARRANGING OF BOTH THE GARAGE AND SPARE BEDROOM (INCLUDING MOVING OF CABINETS). THE QUOTE WAS BASED ON THE AMOUNT OF TIME (AND STAFF) WE THOUGHT IT WOULD TAKE TO DO ALL THE SORTING, PURGING AND REARRANGE BOTH AREAS. OUR FAULT FOR NOT MAKING CLEAR WHY WE THOUGHT THAT AMOUNT OF TIME AND STAFF WAS NEEDED. WE WOULD HAVE HAPPILY EXPLAINED FURTHER, IF WE HAD KNOW. SINCE THE AMOUNT OF THE QUOTE WAS UNCLEAR TO HER, IT'S NOT SURPRISING SHE DID NOT USE OUR SERVICE. BUT TO BE CLEAR, WE DO NOT CHANGE OUR RATES BASED ON ZIP CODE OR ADDRESS. RATES ARE HOURLY AND JOB QUOTES ARE BASED ON THE AMOUNT OF TIME AND STAFF WE THINK IT WILL TAKE TO GET THE JOB DONE.

I was really happy with the services. They went through all the kids artwork, and pictures. They also set up a filing system. I am 8 months pregnant, and the did not left me lift anything. They are very organized and customer oriented. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: They helped me transform a junk room into a baby room. It took about 4 days and 2 or 3 people to do the job. They organized all sorts of items from the last 4 years. It really, really was a huge job.

I was very, very pleased. We got it done well within the estimated time and below cost. Ms. McCubbin made a very challenging task pleasant. She also helped set me up to keep my home uncluttered with a good organizational system.
Description of Work: My home was extremely cluttered and dirty due to a very long illness. Now my health is improved, I wanted to get rid of stuff, and organize and clean the rest to make my home presentable for friends and other visitors. I am not physically able to move a lot of stuff around and I was feeling too overwhelmed to sort it all out myself. Ms. McCubbin was very sensitive to my physical limitations and the emotional hurdles one has in going through one's possessions. We dealt with my bedroom, office, living room, and a large shed, all crowded with stuff.

This summer I was standing in my sixth grade classroom ready to start my annual, fruitless organization job. I looked at the papers and clutter and I realized that there was no way I could do this. I have tried to organize this classroom so many times, and I couldn't imagine doing all of this work, only to be in the same place next summer. I found Tracy on Angie's List and she came to my classroom. She asked me what was working and what I was looking for in this room. This experience was more of going through a process with Tracy instead of her telling me what to do. I ran into four major stumbling blocks that always stopped me before from creating a meaningful organizational system. Each stumbling block I reached, Tracy would ask me a series of questions which shifted my perspective of the problem. This allowed me to come up with my own solutions. My system is so organic now. Tracy is a wonderful woman with creativity, warmth and wit. I would recommend her to anyone.
Description of Work: Helped me organized my sixth grade classroom that I have been teaching in for fourteen years. Found organizational systems for papers, samples, books and supplies. Gave me instructions on how to develop and keep up the organization.

I was returning to work after maternity leave, and needed help getting our household filing under control. I left Tracy a message and she called back within an hour. We clicked immediately, which is important when you're inviting someone to see all your personal papers! We discussed what I needed done to clean up the backlog of paperwork, and then Tracy offered a free consultation in order to give an accurate estimate. She knew I was feeling totally overwhelmed and offered much reassurance. She was very accommodating - worked on Saturdays so I could be available to consult on what needed to be kept/what could be shredded, and was super about working around my 4-year-old and a nursing infant. Her great sense of humor made it fun, and she helped me get rid of many things I was holding onto for no real reason, but hadn't been able to let go of on my own. We're buying a new house, and I'll definitely be calling Tracy to help me pack, coordinate the move, and get the new house organized!

Overall, it was an excellent experience. She was prompt and efficient, and her bid was accurate and reasonable. I was nervous about asking for help sorting through all my personal belongings, but she is kind and firm and ultimately totally professional.
Description of Work: I recently purchased a lovely, but very small home. Transferring and organizing all stuff from my former, very large apartment was a daunting chore. Tracy at DClutterfly made what seemed like an impossible task, doable. She helped me decide what to keep and what to dump and how to tell the difference. She helped me organize my micro closets and now getting dressed doesn't make me panic.
