The actual job was minor and performed on schedule satisfactorily. I originally got a quote on a larger job from Daryl last summer, but didn't use him because I wanted the job done sooner than he could get to me. I ended up unhappy with the other handyman's work. So when I was ready to do the rest of the project, I called Daryl back. Daryl and Liza have both been incredibly responsive and attentive to all the aspects of this phase of the project, which involves replacing several hundred square feet of custom wood siding on the front of our house & replacing 7 windows and a patio door. As an example, he had gotten a quote for the custom siding which was very high, but kept searching for a better deal until he found one. He has made several visits and many phone calls and returned dozens of emails. Daryl and Liza understand customer service and do it well. If his work is half as good, he will get my kitchen project too.

It took a couple of follow-up emails to get an appointment for an estimate and later for the actual estimate itself. He came and provided an in-person estimate which I really appreciated. He even tweaked the stuck toilet and fixed the problem in less than 2 minutes!! However, when I noticed that he left out the other "leaky toilet" in his estimate and asked about it, he said I should hire a plumber for the job. He didn't give any indication that the leaky toilet was outside of his scope at the time of the estimate. In fact, he even mentioned that I should go buy a generic "valve replacement" set for him to install. So, I was a little disappointed. I ended up not using Daryl because with the need to hire a plumber, these fixes were getting over my budget. He gave me an estimate of $465 for the exterior paint, the interior touch-up, and the expanding foam for the roof tiles. ($465) There was a misunderstanding and Ken came back to clean up the foam and the owner was very responsiveto me

Daryl arrived on time and ready to work. He was very professional, thorough and great at explaining how he works. He called in a second worker to speed up the job; the second workman was also very professional, courteous and highly skilled. They did a beautiful and precise job and even patched the old holes from the old curtain rods. They vacuumed up the dust left from drilling the holes for the new rods and were careful working about my furniture. I was so impressed with the level of expertise and professionalism that I talked to him about the next job I wanted a quote on. I will certainly hire them again!

Daryl was very professional in all aspects of his work. He gave an estimate of the work that was to be done and the cost and the amount of time that it would take to complete the work. Professional, honest and reliable from beginning to end. Our initial contact was with Liza who is extremely competent, polite and pleasant. She's very detail-oriented and instills a sense of confidence. When you meet Daryl, you are immediately impressed by his friendliness, job knowledge and integrity. The work was performed as promised and he never even mentioned the difficulty of certain aspects of the project until after he had already solved it and it was done. The work product was better than expected and he literally insisted on reviewing the job despite the fact that we were satisfied with his work. If you need a handyman, we strongly recommend these guys. You get contractor level quality and expertise at a handyman price.

The project and the administration side were both great. Daryl and his manager Liza were very professional and attentive. They were always responsive to emails, kept appointments and were on-time and the project work itself was very well done.

It ended up being harder than we expected. I assembled the cabinets ahead of time, but they were HEAVY, and Daryl had to be careful to properly anchor them. Also, washer and dryer were blocking easy access to the wall. After he installed doors we realized that even though cabinets are perfectly leveled, my walls weren't. Wood railing underneath the cabinets slopes down, so Daryl installed a trim moulding between the railing and cabinets to close the gap and make it look even.

The project went fairly well overall. Daryl was willing to work with us to get the look we wanted. It is somewhat difficult for him to schedule as he had to work around various other projects that were taking place at the house at the same time.

Daryl was great to work with, gave a good price, and did good work. He had to re-schedule the day before the original work date and that made us have to do some re-scheduling. The work was very well done on one of the vents but the other wasn't screwed together properly so it was leaking heat. I called and he came back and fixed it. I was a little disappointed because he wanted to use duct tape to fix it. I thought that would look bad and eventually allow another leak. He agreed to fix it as it was originally intended and it 's worked great ever since.

Daryl was about 1.5 hours late because of his previous job and traffic. However, I found him to be very knowledgeable and friendly. Also, his prices were reasonable.

Daryl is wonderful to work with. He is very pleasant, thorough and keeps his commitments. We have specified several tasks each time and then added extra jobs, and he has been happy to accommodate us. His office staff is great with the follow up, estimates & invoices. Daryl is also willing to do the work before or after normal work hours, which is especially important in a business office. (Note: we are an advertising agency located in downtown Los Angeles).

I first hired Daryl to put up 2 sets of screen doors on a pair of French doors. I was impressed with the thoughtful way he went about it, even talking to the manufacturer. Its hard to retro fit something on a 75 year old house. He was easy to communicate with so I asked him to build a deck of pergola. He did beautiful work. When I asked him to work around an orange tree, he did. When I asked him to try to avoid adding another post because it would obscure the view. He thought about it again & found a beautiful & structurally sound way to do. I plan to use him on many future projects (large and small). I already recommended him to several friends.

I called on Wednesday and they were able to fit me in the schedule by Friday. I met Daryl and his assistant at the property, an apartment building, and they were friendly, on time and performed the requested work promptly. I was grateful that they took with them an old, very large ceiling light fixture that wouldn't fit in the trash.

Daryl came exactly when he said he would and kept every promise that he made. We are so happy with his work that we are going to have him out to our home again for more jobs. For what it is worth, my wife and I have had several "handymen" over the past seven years, and Daryl is the ONLY one who was a total professional, well prepared, worked hard, took great care in the quality of his work and showed enormous respect for our home. It is very rare to find a craftsman like him and we appreciate Angie's List bringing him to our attention. This was a 100% totally positive experience, and I can't recall ever having that in a home repair before.

It took less than one hour for them to complete the work and it was done correctly the first time. They were very friendly and honest. I would recommend them to others.

I called Daryl to get a quote for some drywall work I needed. He took time with me on the phone and in the end we both realized that he would not be free to start any work for at least a few weeks. I needed the drywall done rather quickly and so I appreciated his honesty. The best part about Daryl is that while we were talking I told him I needed to have some wiring and overall electrical work done. He told me he had just finished a job with some guys and they were really good and maybe I should phone them. I did and they were the BEST electricians I could have ever asked for. So I thank Daryl for the GREAT recommendation and I will certainly keep him in mind if I need any other small work done around my home. Thank you Daryl for telling me about Jim!

Daryl was professional, showed up when he said he would, gave us a fair written estimate and also performed the work on time for the price quoted. We thought his rates were reasonable and the quality of his work exceeded our expectations. When the owner requested estimates he faxed the same day, phone calls were returned immediately. He was punctual. He knew a lot of things to do, he was able to handle a lot of different repairs.

Daryl does excellent work. He's on time and stays until the job is done. It took him just 2 days to do the project. Even my neighbors were impressed at how quickly it got done, and the quality of the final result. He took the time to paint everything well, to readjust my satellite dish which had been attached to the carport, and to adjust and seal the gutters properly. A top-notch job from start to finish.

Daryl was great. We did a lot of communicating on line to set up the appointment and to verify it, which I love. He's very personable and interesting and he really knows his stuff. He gave me some good advice on some electrical issues that we were having. Replacing the dummy doorknob with the antique one was more involved than either of us anticipated, but he didn't give up, he figured it out and did a thorough job. He has high standards for his own work which was a tremendous relief!
