Description of Work: . On five (5) separate occasions, failed to return telephone calls when placed by customer, even when telephone number left with message to company.. On three (3) separate occasions, failed to correctly list project, e.g., refused to use clear tongue and groove redwood, when asked to do so by customer. On the fourth (4th) occasion, customer had to correct and partially re-write correct quote, as company could not do so.. CMRS miscalculated the amount of lumber necessary to complete project, therefore old wood from previous fence was used alongside new wood in new fence.. On three (3) separate occasions, failed to report to customer when arriving for work, when previously asked to do so.. Took four (4) separate vists to remeasure 6 foot by 10 foot fence.. Items were omitted from the company's estimate.. Used stain on new wood when told and clearly expressed in the estimate to use clear polyurethane sealer.. New wood with splits were used in the construction of new fence.. Numerous hammer marks left in wood fence.. No receipt was provided for wood and materials used in the construction of the fence.. Project was cancelled upon near completion by CMRS which left customer to subsequently locate a carpenter to complete the project..This was the second occasion that this company was used and in both experiences, CMRS failed to attain and sustain an acceptable level of quality and service.

Description of Work: Put in park bench and levelled the ground, cement beneath- excellent work, but not so clear about scheduling, but great, great job.

Description of Work: Repair walls, prime and paint in steep entry stairwell

Description of Work: Showed up on time for scheduled appointment for quote, usually came to work about 10:30 looking as though he just rolled out of bed. Left about 12:00 (I presume for lunch); maybe came back or sent helper. All work done was of poor quality. Did not finish, so we sent a fax saying we would forgo the gutter painting if we would come back and fix the garden gate (he installed), so that I could open it; this was February 23rd and we have never heard from Daryl or Liza. They quality of the work done was inferior at best. How did this man get all those A's? This all transpired over 3 months, very slow as well as sloppy. My experience with other people on the list you provide was also disappointing. One phone number never answered, one had a recording saying he was not taking work. One made an appointment, but forgot to show up.

Description of Work: We had a problem with graffiti artist breaking in to our commercial property. Daryl built a custom metal fence with razor wire, repaired other sections of chain link inserted corrugated metal and a new fence post.

Description of Work: Daryl patched drywall that was left unfinished by a contractor who abandoned the job. He patched several windows, outlets and small spots such as cracks and water damage. He fixed a large hole in a closet wall and finished the closet opening with drywall.

Description of Work: Daryl built a cabinet to enclose my water heater using parts from the Ikea kitchen line. This was left undone by a prior contractor who abandoned the job, so Daryl came into someone else's mess. It was particularly challenging because he had to use melamine from Ikea kitchen line so as to match my Ikea kitchen line.

Description of Work: The hallway of our condominium is going to be recarpeted. The flooring under the carpet seemed to move and squeak. Through bad original construction, the plywood flooring had to be secured.

Description of Work: Replaced a 5.5' x 16.2' deck in the backyard. Used pressure treated lumber for foundation and redwood for upper visible part.
