Shawn came over to clean the air vents in my home. When he got there he went to the attic and saw the ducts were torn by rats and took pictures to show me. We talked about options to replace them and we came to a fair deal and will be doing the work this week. I chose to go with shawn based on reviews here and yelp and he was professional and knowledgeable. He told me he is the owner and cares a lot about other people. I'm excited to get started and have 2 more houses that he will come look at after we finish here.

he said ducts were damaged and would apply fee to a total replacement at $3000. I later inspected and did not find purported damage. I did personally replace a couple of runs so they could be suspended instead of laid on top insulation. no refund offered

Shawn came to my house on time. In fact, just the day before I asked if he could come an hour earlier and fortunately he was able to accommodate. He did a thorough inspection in my attic. Honestly I thought to myself "oh boy here we go with the up charges" but to my pleasant surprise there were none. He told me that everything looked in good condition and he didn't recommend the cleaning and made sure I understood the " Why". Very positive experience.

The provider inspected my house and found that his service was not the appropriate service for my house. He was very honest and told me I should get a refund for what I paid for my deal. I appreciate his honesty and kindness, and am giving him a high rating.

Ranging from his fast response returning my call, his thorough explanation of service he would provide, a clear estimate for work done and description of how any overages would be proofed by me first - all the way to his showing up to the minute on time, performing an additional service free of charge, plus a successful cleaning of all of our vents. On top of this - he is a delight! A truly kind-hearted gem that I look forward to working with again. Thank you Shaun!

Shawn was very professional and attentive to my needs. He did two attic fan installations for me. After he left with his one-man crew, I thought that something needed to be redone due to the vibration I was sensing in the house when the fans automatically came on. The day of the installation was very hot that I thought they might have hurried the job in the attic. So I called him with my observation, and within a few days, he came back, professional, friendly and with no fussing. He went back to the attic, which is now cooler, and did some adjustments, reassuring me that the fans would not fly off the wood. Cost was very reasonable and competitive because I shopped around. Unlike other contractors that included my regular A/C maintenance company (I wish I could name them), Shawn didn't even charge to come out to see the job and give me an estimate. I tried to start using him for my A/C maintenance and servicing but he said he doesn't do maintenance, only install. So I recommend him for his honesty, professionalism, affordability (competitive) and friendliness.

Needed vent cleaning. After I section cost tripled and tech was not a le to lean the blower from the design of the blower.

i have called up Shawn from SL Home Designs and he arrived onsite promptly. He did a detail review of my house and many pictures to show the condition of my 2 story house, which had many aging ducts and broken pipes. He gave me a very nice competitive quote, and i have paid a deposit. However, after 3 day, i have to cancel the job due to personal financial reason, not pricing because Shawn's price is the best i was quote. I received my deposit promptly, and before that, Shawn even offer me a few alternatives that i wish i could proceed. After all I just want to give a kudos to Shawn for his professionalism and honesty on what he does. I would highly recommend Shawn and his company to anyone. And his company would be my first choice in the future for any AC ducting work.

Shawn arrived on time after being flexible and rescheduling due to a medical problem I had. I received reminder notices and he was very thorough in checking out the attic and the vents before starting. He was professional and efficient and a pleasure to work with. I would strongly recommend him/his company for any of the services he provides and I intend to use him for my future HVAC needs.

Shawn and his crew did a great job for us. We recently bought an older house that had very poor attic ventilation. Shawn and his guys installed a new gable vent and two gable fans, plus a turbine fan in the garage attic. While they were inspecting the attic prior to the job, they noticed some asbestos which a previous contractor was supposed to have removed, so I also had Shawn clean up after that other contractor's sloppy work. Shawn was very straightforward, never trying to upsell me into anything that we didn't need, and his prices are competitive. Shawn and his crew worked fast but didn't cut corners. Now the ventilation in my attic is in great shape, thanks to them. I would definitely call them again for similar work.

When I had follow up questions, he was not only able to answer them thoroughly and knowledgeably. I felt that they are trustworthy and honest. He was very clear in making sure that I understood exactly what they were offering and clarified everything they were going to be done. The most interesting part was that at competing the job, he asked me to feel the A/C. It was clear cool, fresh smelling air. It provided me reassurance that they did the job well. I came to them looking just for the special offer, they explained the abatement, they provided me excellent customer service. The work done was excellent. You felt the difference after they left. I felt like I was in good hands and being well taken care of. Impressive presentation with impressive thoroughness. They walked me through what need to be done and how it was going was going to do it. You need to hire this young man.

I was referred to Shawn by my neighbor. They had their ac replaced with shawn last year. I needed to relocate my ac in my office at my house in the garage from one wall to the other wall because I needed the wall it used to be on for something else. Shawn came by, quoted me a price and came back the next day to do the job. He spent a couple of hours working hard doing the job. After it was done we turned on the unit to make sure it was working again and let it run for a little bit. Its working better than before because shawn also cleaned it. He did a great job making sure to not dirty the walls with dirt and made sure to not make any unnecessary holes in the wall except for the ones needed to run the pipes. I'll definitely use him again in the future!

Purchased one of the deals on angies list. Sean was responsive and scheduled a visit. He examined the airduct and said it has asbestos. Not quite sure if my airduct truly has asbestos in it since it was build right around when the industry stopped using asbestos around the late 1970s. Anyways, he said he couldn't clean it and I was able to get a refund from angie's list. It does strike me a bit odd that he says he is also an asbestos abatement contractor as well though

They did a great job checking out my Air Condition and furnace! I'm going to hire them later this year to redo my ducts!

Because my venting is asbestos venting, SL tech was not able to perform the work. SL's recommendation was for Angies to provide me a full refund - as they could not clean the vent.

We were having problems with one of our ducts and he helped out and also checked our HVAC unit for cleanliness. Really nice guy, takes the time to explain your issues and his prices are fair.

It turned out to be a scam. The technician inspected my HVAC system and claimed that the ducting was in need of an upgrade or repair. He quoted thousands of dollars to have the system upgraded and said it would be dangerous to perform the vent cleaning unless the system was at least repaired for $1000. I had another company come to give a second opinion and they said that my ducts were perfectly fine. Because I filed a complaint outside of the 30 day window, Angies List refuses to give a refund. That's the last time I buy one of these coupon deals.

They responded quick to the initial call but didn't show up on the promised start date. We allowed them to do the work anyway. They did a good job. No complaints about the work. The only odd thing was the workers went ahead and unplugged MY cell phone & plugged their cell phones into my bedside dock. One guy was sitting on my white duvet in his dirty work clothes on his phone while the other guy worked. Didn't appreciate the liberties they took in my private bedroom.

Shawn was on time. He checked were the sound was coming from and he explained to me what it was. He changed the AC filter and even offer to clean up the AC for free.

Qualified and effective air-duct cleaning business - content and extensive, Tech did a great job. Our atmosphere seems clean and allergies aren't a mess. :)
