Arrived right on time, did a great job and got a ton of lint out of our vent system! I will hire again

He was the 2 of 4 bids we got, but from the start he was different then the others. 1. I send out a list of 9 items that I wanted as part of this he was the only one to have reviewed the list before showing up. 2. He fully inspected all the areas that he would be working in before bidding. Including spending 15 minutes in the attic. 3. We did have some hiccup with the weather which delayed the project about a week, but I understand the electrician not wanting to replace the panel in the rain. Will use again

SUPER EASY. They helped with the LADWP rebate application and even offered a free follow up visit to confirm the attic was effectively sealed. Job completed within week of my call!

Call went very well! Shaun does business honestly and fairly. His tech (Angel) was prompt, courteous and professional. I asked that he please provide me with pictures of my unit, model and serial number and picture of the heat exchanger. Background, Home Depot sent a contractor out to do the same service and they couldn’t/didn’t/wouldn’t provide it. Instead, I was shown a picture of a burned out heat exchanger, mine looks brand new by comparison. I was told that there were dangerous levels of carbon monoxide coming out of my unit and then asked if I had a detector and then told it must be about 4yrs old and on and on and on. My filter (reusable) wasn’t cleaned, I was told they didn’t have the size that my unit used and that the company would mail it to me. Just a lot of bull and worse is if the guy had tried to sell me something, after what he told me, I might have given much consideration to it. The guy, from Right Now, was nice and personable. Right Now used that call as an opportunity to play on someone’s fears and just didn’t finish. Well, SL (Shaun) was a breath of fresh air and I was happy to write my check for services rendered! I’m looking at SL to provide other services in the near future. Ladies and seniors don’t be afraid to do business with SL!!!

Recently moved and called Shawn again. (they cleaned our last house) This time all our ducts had to be replaced because they were the original fiberglass ducts. from this house. Shawn came with his crew and they were great. We will definitely keep using them for our regular maintenance of our air ducts and vents.

Had my attic done last Friday. They called the day before to say they would be at my home between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. Called Friday morning to let me know they would be early and if that was okay. We went over all the work that was to be done and prepped the area. Started work and worked straight through until they were done. He explained the rebate process through dwp. Great crew, great job. I would definitely recommend Shawn and his crew.

I found shawn and his company online. the dwp introduced a new rebate program for insulation and I saw his company was offering the services with it. I called shawn and set an appointment for him to come inspect my attic. When he arrived, he was very professional and was ready to work. he went into my attic and took measurements and pictures on my phone. we then talked and agreed on a price. he explained the rebate program to me and showed me I was going to get approx $1500 for redoing my insulation. he came back 5 days later with his crew and they completed the job in 1 day. i had to be at work so i wasnt able to be at my house while he was working but he kept texting me pictures and updating me on the project as it was coming along. I trusted him and he did a great job. he was professional and honest and did not try to rip me off. i got my rebate back and it was nice to see that it actually came through.

I put in a request on Angie’s List and 20 minutes later I received a call from Shawn and we scheduled an appointment. He arrived on time and inspected The vents. I actually thought I needed my A/C and dryer Vents cleaned out. He inspected and said only the dryer vent needed to be cleaned out. He reduced the scope of work and the price . I would hire him anytime! I’ll be look8ng for more projects for SL Hone Designs.

Shawn was courteous, timely and polite. However it turns out the duct was only cleaned half way. My AC contractor came out to service the unit and said the last 10 feet or so was not done. Shawn now claims he could not get to the duct due to the nature of the system....the photos attached show the duct is wide open...it was just not cleaned. Not only did I pay him cash but gave him a tip...and now the work has to be redone by someone who can clean an entire duct.

I had issues with the heater sometimes blowing cool air, instead of heating. Thought there was an issue with the temperature controller so I called Shawn. He came out promptly looked at my settings in the unit and thermostat. He checked my intake filter and BINGO! My filter was clogged with dust, and as soon as he removed it, the temperature went way up. I was told I needed to change filters approx every 3-4 months so the unit does not get clogged and starts misreading temperature settings. He also advised me on the proper controller settings for the unit. Very courteous and efficient, so I am very happy with the service, and now my heater seems to be working fine!

i had them come out to give me an estimate to replace my old insulation with new insulation. its been getting hot in our house and i know the insulation was in bad condition so they came out and gave us a quote. We liked the quote so we decided to hire shawn and his crew. they removed the insulation in 4 hours and installed the new insulation in 2. they closed up the holes with chicken wire to prevent rats from coming into my attic and sprayed my attic with a sanitize. they were quick and efficient. highly recommended company and nice guys

Before calling this company, another air and heating contractor gave us an estimate for replacing our old system. That seemed to be too expensive and off, so I decided to get a second opinion and we are very happy we did after reading great Yelp and angies list reviews. Shawn came out to provide us with an estimate for central heating and AC. He is a very pleasant young man, very knowledgeable and addressed all our questions and concerns. The price was in our budget and was competitive and great! The work was quick and clean and his staff is friendly and knowledgeable. This company will definitely serve as our HVAC contractor for all future work. I highly recommend them!

I am very happy with the overall service provided by the company. When I called for the price estimate, the person on the phone with me was very nice. The technician arrived on time and he was very professional. He explained us how our dryer vent air flows and where it accesses to. He cleaned what 2 other companies weren't able to clean at a competitive price. Definitely recommend this company.

I scheduled an appointment with Shawn to clean out my AC ducts and he did an awesome job. He was on time, he was very polite and even cleaned up after himself in the areas where he was done working when a little mess occurred. He also answered a few of my other questions regarding the hvac system. Great job! Thank you for the Five Star service.

My wife decided we needed to have our air ducts cleaned. Called Shawn after getting his coupon in the mail. Yesterday they arrived arrived at just the time I was promised. They were professional, friendly and answered all my questions. They were even nice to my somewhat annoying three dogs. Thank you!

This company came by this morning to install a couple attic fans in our attic and take care of our air ducts. I removed the insulation from my attic about 5 years ago and didn't want to install new insulation. I decided installing attic fans would be the way to go to remove hot air from the attic. They did a fantastic job installing the fans and repairing our air ducts. Highly recommended and will you use again when needed.

I recommend Shawn and his company to any one needing service and/or installation. The company was spot on with customer service and accessing the air conditioning issues. The owner, office staff and crew installing the system were honest, courteous, and professional. This is a family owned business and they treated me like family. You cannot go wrong with this company.

I called them at around 1pm and they came by at 3pm. My return box was filthy and had so much old insulation that i needed to get it cleaned out. Shawn came by quoted me and came the next morning to clean the return and my furnace. He was quick did a good job and did exactly what he said he would do.

Shawn originally came out April 2017 to give a quote on replacing our ducts. We decided to hold off on it a little longer and got in contact with shawn again last week (February 2018) He still offered the same price he originally quoted me. They replaced our vents cleaned our system and sanitized our attic. my husband said the insulation was the wrong way so shawn made it look right.

Shawn was prompt, professional, warm and knowledgeable. I was told years ago to clean my vents again in 2018. He told me they weren't necessary, that my attic was clean, my vents were in good condition, etc., and that nothing was needed. He was incredibly honest. He could have told me anything and I would have gotten the work done (I am terrified of rats and their damage). But he didn't. I will definitely hire him again, and recommend him highly.

A very professional company... I called them to get a quote for our attic insulation and we were promptly scheduled. the sales rep came on that same Sunday ( they are probably the only company in this business that works on sundays) to come by. The sales rep was clean. He came in wearing a coverup suit when he went up to inspect the attic and went back to his car to change his clothes before coming and sitting down to explain everything. We are very happy with the work.

Shawn and his crew just finished replacing our airducts. we closed escrow 2 weeks ago and the inspector said the airducts were in bad condition. They arrived this morning and just finished. He was fair on price and was honest. From the beginning he just told me what needed to be done and didnt try to find other issues to try to "upsell" us so he won the job because of that.
