Bought duct cleaning service as we were moving into a new place, and was exactly what we needed. Got ducts and returns cleaned before the move in, and Shawn provided great advisement on what we will need to get the HVAC system into top performance after the home improvements we are planning. Definitely appreciated the ease of scheduling, the straightforward communication on what was included versus advised, and not feeling like you were being "sold". Great go to for sure.

I would like to change my previous review of the company and Shawn. The one thing people should know is that if you have fiberglass ducts then duct cleaning is impossible. Shawn explained this to me and after my review contacted me stating I could get a refund due to no work being performed. He was very professional, informative, and nice. My previous review was unfair and I jumped the gun on it. Just a suggestion is letting people know that fiberglass ducts at homes should not be included in the deal.

Shawn and his crew did an amazing job of efficiently fixing the A/C Airflow in our home. We knew we picked the right team for the job from the get go as he was very thorough and transparent with his account of things that needed to be done. Everything was finished in a timely fashion and they did a great job of cleaning up after their work. His fees were reasonable and he was flexible when it came to the payment structure. The results of their work made us very happy about our decision to hire his team for the job.

The provider was unable to do the work due to the deteriorated condition of my ducts. He did give me an estimate to fully replace my air ducts. IIt seemed very high to me considering I live in a single story mobile home. Shawn was a very nice and professional person and was on time and pleasant. Just a bit pricy for me. Overall A.

I found S.L home designs on Angies list after i searched for an heating and AC company. Based on reviews, i figured id give them a call. Shawn and i talked on the phone and I told him i was looking for new air ducts for my home. A few days later he arrived at my house. When he came, he went to my attic, took pictures, showed me before and after pictures of previous jobs he had done. He gave me a very fair price to remove my old air ducts and install new ones. He finished the job in 1 day, was very clean, professional, and nice to deal with throughout the process. A few weeks later, he called me to check and see how everything was. It was perfect and i have no complaints. This is an excellent company that really cares about their customers and i will make sure i refer them to all my friends and family.

I recently came across S.L Home Designs here in Angies list after searching for an HVAC company because air was not coming out of my vents in my home. I made an appointment with them and Shawn came out about 4 days after to take a look at what was going on. He was very professional, never tried to sell me on anything that I did not need, and and took care of the job with ease. After he finished, I could feel the air coming out 100 times better. His knowledge and expertise was what I was looking for an I knew Angies list would be the place to find it. Thank you so much Shawn. It was pretty good. I got emails notifying me about my purchase and trying to schedule a date and time which was no problem. When I would return the phone calls there was no message or secretary that would say the name of the company, which is what I was looking for. It was some guy's name and number, so I had no idea if that was the same company that I purchased. He never really identified himself to the company that I purchased. Then, later on when we did speak he named another company. I said, I purchased this off Angie's List and he said, yeah, that's right. At the end of the day I didn't have to pay twice so it was fine. It was his cell phone number, there was never a business number to call. We made a time for him to come. It sounded like he was driving when I was talking to him so we made a time for him to come. He was very polite. We set up a time and then he called back and said that time wasn't going to work for him after all, could we book it for another time? I was confused because we went to so much trouble to make that time. Things like that but these are very small minute things and the job was done and that was what I was concerned with. I would use him again now that I know what I am dealing with.

I had initially bought the dryer vent cleaning service from SL Home Designs through an Angie's list special offer. The deal was for $59.00 for dryer vent cleaning up to 8 feet. Each additional foot costs $8.50. My vent is 12 feet. There was a problem in the communications between Angie's List and SL Home Designs resulting in SL Home Designs not being notified of my purchase. This resulted in me not getting service which prompted me to write a bad review for SL Home Designs. After receiving the review, Shawn at SL Home Designs called me and we set up an appointment within 2 days. Shawn apologized for the miscommunication and explained what had happen. His professionalism and integrity came through. I felt relieved as a customer and I was comfortable with having SL Home Designs do the contracted for work. Shawn arrived on time, explained the process to me and proceeded to do the work. I inspected the dryer vent and saw that it was clean. I also took pictures of all the debris that came out of my 9 year old dryer vent. I'm very pleased with the outcome of the work. Shawn made good on the deal with SL Home Designs that was brokered through Angie's. He waived the additional $34 for the 4 feet beyond the 8 feet @$59.00 deal that I purchased. He did this to make up for the problem caused in the communications between his company (SL Home Designs) and Angie's List. I commend SL Home Designs and Angie's List for working together to solve my issue and provide me with great dryer vent cleaning service. i highly recommend SL Home Designs for their outstanding customer service, professionalism and work quality.

I purchased an Angie's List deal for dryer vent cleaning. Scheduling an appointment was easy and Shawn arrived right on time. The service was swift and my dryer is running perfectly. Shawn also gave me some great advice about my HVAC unit, preventing me from doing unnecessary work and recommending a smart, straightforward plan to upgrade my efficiency and air quality. I'd absolutely recommend SL Home Designs for this service and any HVAC needs.

After purchasing the "special Deal", Shawn, the owner, called to set up an appointment. We were both available the day he called. He reliably followed through, and arrived as scheduled. He is very professional and knowledgable. He performed the cleaning and answered all questions I had. The price was more than fair. I highly recommend SL Home Designs, and would definitely use Shawn again.

This is just a heads up for others looking to contract with this company. I was told job would take 4-6 hours due to covering holes and vacuuming attic. They took an hour max to finish all this work. I went to an hour long appt and by the time I was Midway I am being called advising job is finished. I will advise DO NOT add Attic vacuuming as the work will not be done and you will be out those funds. I accountable for the fact I did not address this immediately with Sean himself. I am writing this after having my tenant telling me he did not hear a single vacuum or movement above his unit. The lead in deal " 99 for 500 of insulation " is good ruse to get contracts signed.

Shawn was friendly and professional. He arrived on time and did a great job cleaning the dryer vent hose (14'). Did not try to up sell, which was nice. (I've found that most Angie's List vendors push hard to up sell.) He discovered a problem with the base of the vent, and fixed it free of charge. I will definitely be using SL Home Designs in the future.

Shawn came and check our duct and he told us that everything is clean and he cannot help with anything and he adviced us to ask for a refund...I was so nice impressed of his correctness.

Sean was prompt in scheduling the appointment, showed up on time. he was going to clean our ac ducts and vents. I also had him clean the ac return line at an additional cost from the Angie's list deal. I also had him do a Furnace service which entailed cleaning the furnace fan and making sure it was burning ok. When it was all cone i could tell the ac vents were blowing more air thru. My house is only 1100sqft. and It took about 2 hours to all the work. paid a total of $240 for all the work. i would recommend him he is clean and follows thru.

Shawn honored the vent cleaning special that I had purchased through Angie's List, although I had a lot more vents than most homes. He was very thorough, cleaned up after and followed up with me to make sure that I was happy with the job. I will absolutely use Shawn again and in fact, asked him to send me a reminder for one year from now.
