We do all types of furniture caning, mid-century weaves, rush work, wicker, danish cord, shaved rattan, etc. Premium patterns available as well. Repairs assessed and offered. Stain, sealant and/or restorative also available. Never any obligation with an estimate, samples presented for your inspection. Free pick-up and delivery. All work and materials absolutely guaranteed!

AMAZING! Could not recommend more highly. Sean came by to pick up and drop off 4 of our cesca chairs that needed new caning and staining. He was able to fit a tight deadline and went absolutely above and beyond! Very professional and friendly. Will be using him again in the future!

He came to our house. Recaned our 6 dining rooms chairs. $100 each. He delivered them to our house 4 weeks later. They look beautiful!

It was amazing how seamless the original and the new were. He did everything he promised and did it well! I will certainly call him again.

This could not have worked out better. Sean is delight to work with. He came to the house, examined the chairs and gave a detailed written estimate. The prices were lower than I had anticipated. Sean also identified some of the antique details of the chairs. I would recommend him without reservation.
Description of Work: I had an old rocker caned for a friend of mine and I found Sean on Angies List. He caned the rocker and three other antique chairs. He also did excellent repair work on the rocker.

Sean met me to pick up the chair, re-caned the seat and returned the chair. All this was done in less than two weeks at a more than reasonable price (cost). Sean is a true craftsman. The quality of his work is excellent. He explained exactly what his work would entail, provided a detailed estimate and delivered in a manner that exceeded my expectations.

He was really wonderful. The repair work was first rate and included pick up and delivery as well. He even through in a little touch up work so now my ottomans look like new! He is a very nice man who does high quality work at a very reasonable price. I couldn't be happier with the job he did. Highly recommend!

Sean did a really superb job on the chairs. They came back as good as new. He obviously enjoys what he does and takes pride in his work. The chairs were returned in a few weeks. I’d recommend his services.

Description of Work: Sean Murphy completed a two panel headboard caning beautifully! He was professional, prompt, courteous, did both the pick up and delivery, but most of all, he is a gifted caning artist. While my headboard had a more common caning pattern, he is a master of the art. I had called several businesses and companies claiming that they could do any caning needed, but it turns out that they were middle men. Go to the artist. Call Sean Murphy and "Caning by a Celt." |No, I am not his agent...I am experienced recently completing a post-flood house re-do ...and this Celt's work is simply outstanding.
