+ 0 morePROBLEM: Our issue is with AVI-Con/CA Construction, Riverside, CA. (not AAA), who was fired by my husband & I, June 1, 2017, for our home not being worked on in almost 11 months. Well's Fargo gave AVI-Con/CAConstruction a total of $133,166.00 of our money because an inspector said our home was 50% completed and we still don't have a roof. We asked for another inspection which we received on June 20, 2017. The inspector expressed his disbelief that Well's Fargo would payout anything based upon the present condition of our home- (partial roof, no windows,no drywall, no flooring) and he gave it 35% completed. AVI-Con/CAConstruction, failed the last inspection on June 10,2017, and was still allowed to make a final $53,000.00 draw from our escrow account prior to being fired for property neglect and elder abuse (I am 71 years old). RESOLUTION: AVI-Con/CAConstruction, we are still waiting on you to transfer the permit into our name and give us our $133,166.00 with interest that you are refusing to return to us. We hired more credible licensed contractors to complete our home. We are still living at the Marriott Hotel, waiting for you to respect our decision to hire others to get our home built. In less than 1.5 months we will be homeless thanks to you not working on our home for almost 11 months which should have been completed in April 2017. Pray for all of us and pray for them too. We are feeling used and elder abused, but still smiling, trusting and believing that God is in full control of this situation. Still making lemonade out of lemons. Filed with the State Contractors Licensing Board, June 14,2017. Waiting for a response. Please pass this info to your family and friends for homeowner awareness.
Description of Work: RUN,RUN,RUN,HOMEOWNERS BEWARE: NEVER allow the contractor to obtain the plans and permits from the city to do work on your property, you get the permit and hire who you want to do the job. It doesn't matter if the work needed is insurance or private pay related. Once the contractor gets the permit it's owned by the contractor and only one permit per property can be obtained from the city. If you have a dispute with the person holding the permit it can become a court battle to get your money back. This company AVI-Con/CA Construction, was a AAA referral due to the extensive fire damage to our home August 13,2016. June 25,2017, we are still not in our home and the company is refusing to honor our request to remove themselves from our project and return our funds.

Description of Work: Hired this Construction Co. to complete a remodel. They added on to my existing master bedroom and added a master bathroom. They performed all construction from ground up, to the tile work of my floor and shower area.
