C Perez Sprinkler & Landscape

Let me preface this by saying this company is timely and willing to please. Unfortunately I had disappointing results, yet they handled it appropriately. I contacted them for an estimate because of their good reviews on Angie?s List. I wanted them to remove 50% of old decomposed granite and replace it with new granite. They suggested that prior to hiring them that I go to see a newly completed decomposed granite project in Woodland Hills as an example of their work, which I did. I liked the results very much, telling them that I wanted the same finish and firmness of that project, especially since that family had an active dog and I do as well. I specifically requested that they use the gas operated tampering machine for my job as they did for that job in Woodland Hills. They understood and agreed to what I wanted and I hired them. Sadly the results were not the same as Woodland Hills. There were/are issues with little loose decomposed rocks throughout my yard. I have to sweep the little rocks with a broom every few days. I certainly did not expect perfection by any means, but I did expect that the results would be very close to Woodland Hills. They?d used a grass roller to tamp the decomposed granite as opposed to the gas operated tampering machine that they used in Woodland Hills. I was home; the machine was not used. I heard it for a few minutes in the beginning of the day, then saw them working on it. I think it was having problems. In speaking with the company where they purchased the granite, I was told that issues such as mine are because the grass roller is not enough to do the correct job, that the tampering machine should have been used. I'm left to wonder why if there were problems with the machine, did they not go out and rent one for the day. The owner, Cipriano, agreed that the decomposed granite was not right and offered to re-do the job, promising to use the tampering machine this time. I was also offered the option of a refund. I chose to accept the refund, which I did receive within a few days.

Wow! What a nice, professional man. He came when he said he would; when he found he would be late, I received a call to alert me. The actual job turned out to be messier and not as easy as was expected. More than one sprinkler head was broken, and a broken pipe was found. He used flashlights and worked in the dark to get the job done. I would most highly recommend him, and will call him first when I want to redo some landscaping.

They charge a little more than other people. They come every week. I would use them again.

They were responsive, thorough, professional. knowledgeable and very hardworking. The work they did was excellent. The yard looks much better. On a minor point, throughout the work and unlike some other contractors, when they scheduled an appointment, they were there on time - on the one occasion when they were going to be late, they called in advance and told us. (Anyone who has had to wait for a re[airman or service provider to arrive "somewhere between 8 am and noon", can appreciate that.)

Long story short: a very nice and effective husband and wife team. He took a great deal of care to ensure he understood what I wanted, and he and his team were patient and straightforward in making adjustments/abatements as needed; she took a great deal of care to keep in touch via email about estimates, arrival times, delays and materials choices. I was very happy with the process and the results, and plan to use them in the future for other projects. Added bonus: he accepted my word that I'd already completed the necessary sprinkler work, and when they completed the job, my sprinkler systems were still working as they had before. By comparison, I've had other company reps disregard my word and upsell unnecessary sprinkler services/insert unwanted sprinkler maintenance charges into their estimates, and had another company break two sprinkler heads during the job and just shove the heads into the ground as if nothing had happened.

They were on time. They care about their customers. They are very very good. They did exactly what they said and they know what is decent. They know what they are doing and they are very punctual. They keep their promises.

We found Cipriano through Angie's List and were impressed with all of his positive reviews. Cipriano is knowledgeable, honest, professional and easy to work with. He helped us to come up with a landscaping plan that fit our budget, suggested ways for us to save money and delivered on everything he promised. Cipriano even went above and beyond what was asked for on several occasions. He always showed up on time and was responsive by both email and phone. Cipriano's crew was great as well-- they were polite, respectful of our property and our neighbors and always left the place clean at the end of each day. The project went very smoothly and we couldn't be happier with Cipriano and his team. His price was great and there were absolutely no surprises along the way. Most importantly, the experience and the results exceeded our expectations. We will absolutely use Cipriano again.

Cipriano did an amazing job. His crew was professional and courteous. He was easy to reach before, during and after the work was completed. I highly recommend giving him a call.

He's very good with irrigation systems. The plants have not lived up to our expectations. Difficult to communicate with him, though usually we get the changes done, just very little communication back from him. The most frustrating thing is that the vines have for the most part not flowered as we had hoped for. Finally two of them have flowered, late in the season, but if we'd wanted ivy we would have asked for ivy. Same goes for the plants in both the front and back planter. He put annuals. We didn't realize it and so we paid for and got perennials. Again, communications. Overall, competent, but you really need to know what you want and to make it abundantly clear. Also, the prices are pretty high.

Cipriano is very professional and we are very happy with him and the work he did for us. His prices are very reasonable and he does the job in a timely fashion. I would recommend him for any job that you need done.

We chose them because they were in our area and had great ratings. The work went fine. When you deal with the company, you deal directly with the owner and his wife. That is very assuring.

He didn't leave until the job was done, which meant he stayed until 7:00 on a Saturday night! (He asked if it was okay to stay, too!) I was especially impressed with how he cleaned up after he was through. During the process of discovering the reason why one station wasn't working and another had multiple leaks, the areas were dug up with dirt and mud everywhere, and I was upset thinking my grounds were a disaster. But then everything was put back together so I couldln't even tell work had been done!

I thought he was a wonderful landscaper. I'd like to put in before and after pictures of what he did to our yard. I would highly recommend him. Our garden was dry and overgrown. The back yard had nothing in it. He worked with me and we came up with a plan. He advised me what plants would work the best as I am not from this area. I showed him some ideas I wanted and we went to look at plants. He was happy to use my ideas. Sometimes, a landscaper wants to use their own ideas. He was really helpful. We needed rock work done in areas. He was willing to go with me and talk with people and advise me on this too. They put the patio down and he did the landscaping and rock. It turned out very nice.

Cirpiano and his crew do a great job! My garden and lawn have never looked better. Cipriano is vey knowlegeable and absolutely goes the extra mile for his clients. He voluntarily fixed my gate twice and put the garden shed door back on its hinges. Cipriano is also a good business professional, who inovices and communicates with his clients by email. His crew is hardworking and helpful. Although I spend more on Cipriano's services than the usual "mow and blow" service, I believe that the services he provides are worth every penny. i highly recommend Cipriano for people who care about thier gardens!

The best part of this company is Cirpiano (owner) has his wife answerig the phones, returning calls and ensuring he stays on track. She also speaks very good English.

.After an initial consultation, Cipriano Perez provided us with a suggested list of plantings, discussed his choices with us, made changes based on our ideas and preferences, then set about completing the work. Due to our work schedules, most of the work was done while we were not at home, which meant that most communication was through email. Cipriano always responded in a timely manner, took our comments to heart and moved forward with the project. We could not be more pleased with the results of his hard work. While some of the plants have succumbed to stress, Cipriano has replaced or modified choices as needed. We love the character of the backyard that he has designed, as do the many birds who are now frequenting it.

I am more than happy with the experience! They are phenomenal; very good people!

I can't say enough great things about Cipriano and his crew... I wanted to mention he created a proposal and stuck to it. On top of that as things progressed, we needed more stuff and he helped without sitting there counting numbers! He was looking out for our best intrest and for our son's safety. Our backyard was beyond repair in our eyes and became an extremely depressing site from our windows. When we bought the house our realtor said that's not a big deal, you can fix that fast and cheap. That was the farthest thing from the truth. We had a couple of quotes and they were all extremely unreasonable for the amount of work that was going to be performed. One person came out and said the demo, irrigation and seed (nothing else) was going to be 10K. I saw Cipriano's reviews and decided to have one more estimate before we threw in the towel. When he showed up, his eyes lit up and said what a great backyard we have. We looked at him like he was crazy, but right away he walked around the yard talking about all his ideas. He treated us like real people that don't have 10k sitting around just to make our backyard safe for our son. You can tell he loves his job. He wrote the quote up with flowers and flowers and more flowers, sod, irrigation, demo, flower bed irrigation, and so much more. We were scared to look at the final price, but when we saw what he could do to our front and backyard for pretty close to the same amount, we were sold. His price, excitement, ideas, and the fact he listened to everything I wanted is the reason we will never use anyone else. He's now doing all the maintenance and once we have enough money we will have him do the front. He is also always available to talk when I panic a flower has fallen over or if I see something funny on the lawn. He will call or email me saying, "don't worry, I'll come out and fix it". Then he comes out and I can relax since I trust him with our investment.... Just look at this pictures and you will know I'm not embellishing...weed

I cannot say enough about how wonderful Cipriano and his wife Rosario conduct their business. We had sod installed last September and due to some kind of a weird problem the sod did not do well and never really rooted itself. Cipriano was diligent and responsive and after spending quite a bit of time trying to rehabilitate the lawn he was not happy with the results and promised to replace the sod come spring. Well he was true to his work and replaced all the sod two days ago...it looks great and i can highly recommend this landscaper.

We called Cpriano to come and provide us a quote for the project. He was on time. He explained everything in detail that he will be doing. He seemed very professional and genuine to us. His pricing was also reasonable. The next day he sent us two samples of the synthetic grass. On the day of the work, Cpriano brought two of his crew members with him. They finished the project in one day. They cleaned after themselves very well. We are very happy with their work and product.

Cipriano is the real deal! He has tremendous integrity which, sadly, is a rare commodity in today's competitive marketplace. He and his crew are everything a homeowner is looking for in a contractor and I can't recommend him any higher.. After I emailed him to get a bid he responded immediately and came by the next day. He took notes during our walk through and suggested some things he could do that I was going to sub contract to another vendor (initially I only was going to contract him for the irrigation because I already had a bid on the hardscape). I recieved my bid via email the next day with a helpful reminder call to ensure I got the bid. Of the three bids for just the irrigation, Cipriano was right in the middle but only separated either way by a few hundred dollars. I was impressed by his knowledge, his respect for my time and ultimately decided to go with him. And I am so thankful I did. Cipriano and his guys were incredibly respectful of our property and always protected around the areas where they worked and left the job site cleaner than they found it. His hardscape crew did an excellent job and the workmanship on the smooth stucco was top notch. The sprinkler system he installed was perfect and he even went the extra mile and connected the zones from my front yard at no cost. During the job I added a few elements and Cipriano always emailed me a paper bid. His prices were fair and I definitely feel I got my money's worth. One other note, Cipriano actually ordered my new Marathon 2 sod for me, got me a price that was 6 cents cheaper than any I found and he didn't charge me a dime for the favor. My only regret with Perez Sprinkler and Landscaping is that I did not hire them to prep and install my new sod. Next time I will for sure.
