BBQ Repair Doctor

Referred by Fire Magic. $10,000 grill new. Needed a few parts and a cleaning to get it back to 100%. I paid the fee for them to assess and look at it. Then chased the girl at the front desk for a quote and when we can get it done. Was told parts not readily available. Simple google search and parts are everywhere, very easy to obtain. I have since ordered the parts they said I need and have a more reputable company ready to install and clean. But I am out my initial money to have this company come and look at the grill as that money was supposed to be applied against the repair cost.

DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY_THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS Technician came out and diagnosed what we had already told him, i.e. we needed a new ignition unit. We were promptly charged 175 USD to credit card for this visit. We were not told about this charge in advance so I rang to query and was told that it would be taken off the final bill. It took 10 days to get an estimate for the required work and when it arrived it was loaded with upcharges. We emailed for a revised estimate for just the work we needed doing and have not heard anything since despite leaving multiple messages and emails. I wish we had researched web reviews more thoroughly as it seems that this is a pretty typical experience for this company.

I wish that I had read earlier reviews. There is something fishy about this company. A long delay before service person came out to do the actual work. It was quick to get someone out for the "review" and an initial charge of $150 wasI paid. I was told that I needed a part and that someone would come out to clean and replace the part. However it took a long time before that happened. Flora said that the part hadn't come in but no one called to let know. My husband doesn't think that the burners work as well as they should after the cleaning. Then they double charged me over $400 and that has not been fixed yet. Flora is never in.

I have been calling multiple times a week since june 20th to follow up on having my Bbq cleaned and every week I hear a new excuse why they can't come out. I paid them $150 dollars to come to my house to give me an estimate. At this point I would just like my money back since they seem unwilling to come do the job. Flora who is supposedly the supervisor has never returned one phone call. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!

I have no idea if they are good at repairing and cleaning BBQs because after waiting SIX HOURS for them to show up, a technician finally called to say he would ONLY be INSPECTING my BBQ, and that I would have to reschedule another time for actual repair and cleaning. Infuriating. And the woman who scheduled it TALKED ME IN to the cleaning. I was only going to do repair. Six HOURS I waited. I left them a long, pretty angry message that was NEVER returned (I gave them a WEEK to return). I wish I could give a grade lower than F to people who rudely and dismissively WASTE my time.

Had to call several times to get response. Once the repairman came, he was prompt and efficient. The cost to replace two knobs and clean BBQ was quite high and, unfortunately, the end result is not comparable to what is shown on website. Two different companies. You call BBQ doctor and another actually does the work (Major Home Appliance).
