I left a web request an called the following morning. I was directed to the person who had my request, who immediately found it, and asked for my availability. He was able to meet me same day- in fact, he was willing to drop everything and meet me in 30min, which was amazing because my project was under time pressure. Ricardo was incredibly polite, helpful, and ha an estimate to me by he following day. When I had additional questions, he was patient and thorough w/ his answers. I was impressed by the amount of time and effort he spent explaining to me what work would be done and what options we had. In the end we went w/ someone else because it was our contractor's final call, but we were impressed and will call Ricardo w/ future roofing needs.

Ricardo was very helpful and patient in explaining the details of this fan. I had to cancel our first appt. for medical reasons last minute and it was no problem. They came on time and installed the fan in a few hours. Now it is peaceful and quiet and cooling the attic. Great job- will use them in the future!

When Ricardo of ANR came to our house, he was very prepared. He took the measurements, gave us information to read, and brought samples. From our initial contact with Ricardo (General Manger) through the completion of the project; Ricardo, Santos (the Foreman), and his crew were polite and professional. We were also provided with a list of references. We drove by seven of ANR's completed projects and liked them all. Once we decided which material we wanted for our roof, Ricardo emailed an estimate and set the date for the start of the project. He also followed up with a phone call. He was never pushy. Ricardo and his crew were always prompt. Every morning, Ricardo would give us an update of the work being performed for the day, i.e., what material was being applied, the time the inspector would arrive, etc. At the end of every day, the crew would clean up any mess they made. We found Ricardo and his crew to very thorough and careful with their work. Thank you ANR for our beautiful roof!

I contacted ANR Roofing on WED, 05/29/2013 via their website; the very next day, Ricardo called and came by to conduct his assessment of my property's roofing needs. 1. Ricardo was spot on time; when he arrived I had to finish my phone call and he asked if can go ahead with his assessment and roof measurements. I felt that the assessment took the appropriate amount of time; all my questions were answered expertly, straightforwardly, and thoroughly - i.e., the condition of the roof on all three structures on the property, the alternatives available (for either repair or replacement), types of composition shingles (regular architectural versus cool roof), possible ventilation needs, solar system viability, etc. 2. Ricardo actually advised me against options or, services that he felt was unnecessary for my situation, an approach that is exceedingly refreshing; that kind of honesty is something I appreciate. 3. As promised, the following day Ricardo sent me his project estimate which is very competitive and reasonable. A couple of days, later his daughter left us a message inquiring about the status of our deliberation about their project estimate; two days after still, on MON, 06/10/2013 Ricardo called and once again we spoke. Even as I told him our decision you can sense his courtesy and professionalism. ANR Roofing (and specifically, Ricardo) came highly recommended. Unfortunately, my wife and I decided to go with another roofing company for our project. Our decision to do so relied on some specific factors and needs; however, in no way should it be taken as a slight on the effectiveness, skill, and professionalism of ANR Roofing. I wish them and their company the best of success in their business with other Angie's List members in the future.

But STILL waiting on a estimate. These guys must be SUPER busy with all these great reviews...... I didnt get a call back untill I wrote an honest review. huh.. Based on the parameters in which Angies list gives us to grade our experiences I gave a low grade. If you receive call for work that your company doesn't do, I should have been told upfront. After 2 sight surveys ( in which I asked if my framing repair was something they would take care of. In which the resonse was YES ) I still havent heard back. I actually was coming on today to remove the review but I'll leave it. ANR if you want a grade for the price or quality of work send me an estimate and we can go from there. I'll await your reply on angie's list because phone tag doesnt work.

********THANK YOU ANGIESLIST MEMBERS FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT******** We get F's for not doing the work!! Some where we did drop the ball And I apologize. I left a message but don't know what else to do. I think a few members will do all they can to discredit reputable companies that can provide service but really an F? This was not even a roofing problem it was a structural problem with the house caving in. Good luck as you move forward. I hope the next contractor doesn't fumble they just might get an F and not even get to see the project! **************************THANK YOU ANGIESLIST MEMBERS FOR YOUR SUPPORT*********************

Andy Chavez estimated that the job would take 5 days. It was performed exactly on time and precisely the way I thought it should be. The crew size varied from 3 to 7 workers during the week of May 13 -17, 2013. The foreman and two other workers arrived each day before 7:30AM and commenced working before 8:00AM each day. I was extremely pleased with the quality of the work and the speed with which the job was completed. All details were handled carefully. What was especially evident on this job was that the ANR foreman was a perfectionist in making sure that each facet of the job was completed with care and nothing left undone. The crew cleaned up each day so that there was no mess left in front of the house or anywhere on the job site after completion of work. All costs were explained fully, there were no nickle and dime items added to the contract. In fact, the only extra was the cost of replacement wood on the roof which was fully explained in the contract and was an area where ANR Roofing worked with the homeowner to minimize cost.

Went well, Ricardo came out to inspect and give us our quote. Very informative and helpful
Description of Work: When you have a leak, its no fun when it rains. We called ANR and Ricardo came out the next day bright and early (and on time) to give us a quote. He explained our options and provided us with a quote the next day (via email, yeah!!). Having been burned by another roofing company in the past, we were looking for a company to fully understand our problem and provide not only a durable solution - but also an aesthetic one. Their repair to another companies sloppy work looks great. The ANR team showed up on time, did the work quickly and neatly! We're using them again to repair a deck/roof next month!

I was quite impressed with ANR Roofing. Andy provided a basic estimate and was specific about additional items which may be needed once work was started. The original estimate included removal of 2 layers with an extra charge per 100 sqft for additional layers. The original estimate also didn't include any OSB/plywood, but specified an additional charge per plywood sheet if needed. Andy's roofing team arrived promptly as scheduled on Monday morning. They had a good number of workers and were able to remove all the layers and install the roof in 2 days (completed by about 6pm on Tuesday). In fact, they would've finished several hours earlier if it wasn't for having to wait several hours for the building inspector to arrive on Tuesday. The gutter team then arrived on Friday and had the new gutters and leaf guards installed within about 4 hours. The team was very efficient and did high-quality work. Flashing around the chimney was done very well and came out looking very nice. The gutters were also quite quick to install and look great. Interestingly, it rained the following Monday, so I crawled up into the attic to see if there were any leaks/issues and there were none (everything was dry and tight). Overall, the final cost after additional fees for removal of 2 extra layers, addition of OSB/plywood, and several feet of fascia board was about $1k to $2k less than the other 2 estimates I had received (which didn't include gutters). So, ANR's pricing seems to have been very reasonable and I am very impressed with the speed/efficiency of Andy's team.
Description of Work: Remove 4 layers of material (2 layers of wood shake, 2 layers of composite shingles), add new OSB/plywood, add new underlayment, add new dormer vents, and add new Owens Corning Oakwood shingles. Also removed the old gutters/downspouts and replaced with new seamless gutters and leaf guards.

We're in the process of buying a house, and our general inspector suggested the roof may be in bad shape, but he couldn't tell for sure exactly how bad, and recommended we have a roof specialist take a look. I called ANR and spoke to Andy. He told me they can provide an estimate for non-owners of a home for $200, but offered to look up the house on Google Earth and give me a ballpark cost of roof replacement that second (for free), in case all I wanted was some information for my personal benefit. Because we needed a written estimate to take back to our seller (fingers crossed!), I opted for him to come out and give a more offiical estimate. I told him we were running out of time (the inspection period was about to end), and he was able to come out that same day to look at the roof. He walked through the whole top floor (no attic in our house), and then spent about 15-20 minutes on the roof, measuring and investigating. When he was through, his estimate was right in the range suggested by his quick look on Google Earth (on the lower end!) and he was able to write it up and email it to me on his ipad that minute, which was incredibly helpful for me. He would also have been able to provide a full roof inspection for slightly more money, if I needed it. Andy was friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt, and was very honest and forthcoming about the costs (both for the estimate, the inspection, and any possible future costs of the roof). He estimated $10,500 for total roof replacement (including some lumber, and four new skylights).

They were fabulous from start to finish. I couldn?t say anything they could improve upon. Everything was as they said it would be. Everybody always arrived on time and at the right time. If there was going to be any issues of any sort, they were very, very good about communicating it. Once I signed on to the job, there was a call from the project manager introducing himself and who then came out to do site visit. They kept me in the loop on when the product was arriving and if there was going to be any delay and what that would mean for me. They were exceptionally good at communicating. Everything was punctual. They did an excellent job of cleaning up. I had 3 or 4 quotes from other contractors that would walk around my house and look up at the roof and say everything from the roof needed a complete redo, to stating that we could just put another layer on. ANR was the first company to actually go up on the roof and thoroughly looked at the roof. They came down, identified several issues and told me what was going on and how we could address the problems. That is what I really liked about them. They seemed to be the most knowledgeable. These guys did just roofing and it really showed. They were actually the cheapest quote. I doubt I would ever need to use them again (50 year warranty on the roof) but should the need arise, I wouldn't hesitate.

Andy and his crew did a great job. They worked very efficiently and cleaned up well at the end of the day. I was really impressed that they used a gieger counter to find all the nails at the end of the day. The price was very competitive and the extra work that was needed to meet the permit requirements was very reasonable. I asked to delay the gutter installation until my house was painted and even though it was four months later, I received prompt installation. The roof looks great and I could not be more pleased. I highly recommend these guys.

Eli (the owner's nephew) twice promised to come to my house, which is in the same neighborhood as ANR Roofing, and give an estimate for roof repair and gutter replacement. The first time, he promised that if I left the side gate open, he would drive over in the morning, inspect the needed repairs while I was at work, and email me an estimate that afternoon. When I got home, I asked neighbors if any roof repairman had climbed onto our roof. They said no one had. I never heard from Eli, nor did he ever email me an estimate. By all accounts, he never even showed up, let alone called me to explain why. Five days later, he called and never mentioned his earlier failure to appear, but he asked for a date and time for an inspection, and I gave him another chance. He promised to inspect the roof during my lunch hour and give me an estimate. I took time off from work, drove home, and waited 45 minutes for him. Again, he never showed, or even called. I called him, and he sheepishly claimed he had gotten too busy. This outfit is unprofessionally managed. They will not keep their promises or respect your time.

ANR roofing did our roof with no hassles, completed the job early and with no surprises. It has been over a year since the work was done and the roof passed the ultimate test, no leaking when it rained. Excellent work on our house and garage, it looks good, and I am very happy. One bit of advice, it will get messy while they are working, but they also do a good job cleaning up. Thank you ANR for out wonderful non-leaking roof!

Much to my dismay we had a small leak that had been patched a few years back, but the rains this last November found their way into our ceiling. At 18 years into a ?20 year? roof (been in the house for nearly 15 years without any serious issues) we finally had to bite the bullet. I called four roofing companies for estimates. As some other reviewers have pointed out, while ANR Roofing was not necessarily the cheapest bid I received they were the most thorough and professional. They did have great reviews on-line (here and elsewhere) and in fact our neighbors right across the street sang their praises as well having just used ANR a few months earlier. Once we agreed on a price and a start date they very graciously came out and patched the likely leak culprits so as to stop any further issues until they could get started. The rains in Mid-December kept delaying when we could start and they were very diligent about keeping us in their sights for scheduling our work. Ultimately it was done in three days and that includes having to replace significant wood sections of the roof (thanks to the prior owners less than thorough maintenance) as well blowing in insulation and installing a solar attic fan to help vent the hot air. They were upfront about the fact that the initial bid might go higher depending upon the condition of my roof and in fact it did, but not hugely and I did walk through all of the issues with them and they were very patient in explaining and showing what needed fixing. The crew was promptly on time every day, thorough, polite, and kept the work site remarkably clean at the end of the day. Eli and Ricardo were on top of all communications and calls which is something I highly value in any contractor. Sure?.I would have preferred to have not needed to spend the money but I am glad I did with ANR

ANR was the 3rd quote that we received and it was obvious that we would use them after we met Andy. He worked with us based on our tight budget to allow us to get all the necessary work on our roof. We felt very comfortable working with ANR as they were very detailed in their explanation of each step in the roofing process. After we signed the contract, work was performed in a timely and effortless manner that required no supervision from our part. After completion of the project, Andy and his team continued to be very responsive in providing certain documents that we requested. We would definitely recommend ANR for all your roofing needs.

Late March and early April this year was pretty wet and I noticed water dripping from the ceiling. I called several roofing companies for estimates. Although ANR Roofing was not the cheapest, I felt that they were the most professional. They provided me with two estimates: one was for around $2500 which involved a more work and higher quality shingles and the other was for $1250 for the repair using the same kind of shingles I currently have. Even though I was initially leaning towards the first estimate, I ended up choosing the cheaper option. There was no pressure from ANR for me to choose the more expensive option. I also had a lot of question regarding the repair and Javier (the regional rep) was always very responsive, with both my emails and phone calls. He was also able to explain things in the estimate that made it understandable. The workers who did the actual repair arrived right on time and were courteous. The estimate was for 1 1/2 days but they actually finished the job in 1 day. They also took care of the clean-up and disposal of the materials they removed. We've had quite a stretch of wet weather again the last few weeks but I don't see any drips and water collecting in my ceiling! If I need my roof repaired, no hesitation that I'll call them again!

This was an insurance claim after the big wind storm so I was looking for a bid within a "replacement cost" set by my insurance company. ANR came and did an estimate within two days of my call. A salesperson came to my house and was especially responsive, and said they would honor a 5% discount offered by Angie's list. I was not happy that ANR then put time pressure on me to sign a contract in order to get the discount, but fortunately had completed my other bids and went with them. Because ANR had the lowest bid out of three companies, we soon scheduled the roofing process (4-5 days) to take place in a convenient window for my work schedule. Rain and the "work back up" delayed us by two weeks however. This meant the roofing took place during a much less convenient time for me and this caused some slow down in scheduling the inspection and working through the insurer. Once we moved ahead, the team they brought in was large and efficient. The removal of the roof was handled well, although there was inevitable damage to the plantings around my house as wood and shingles rained down on yard. Also while I had discussed removing debris from inside my attic with the salesperson, the foreman of the job said they could not do this. The crew did however clean up around the house daily; and at the very end of the job washed away the dust from the driveway, went over the yard carefully etc. My most substantive concern about ANR is that the salesman's led me to believe that a gutter repair would be included in the overall price of the roof but the foreman and owner ignored this verbal agreement. I should have insisted on getting this in writing...so that's my bad. Still, I there's a substantive disconnect between what ANR "sells" and what they actually deliver. Since then, I've called ANR twice to have them follow up on the gutter, but have not gotten a call back or any action. While this is a minor part of the job, it's a real nuisance for me since it's a small job and left me feeling let down by the contractor. An additional concern was that ANR threatened to put a lien on our house when the inspection took longer to schedule than expected, despite their delay and my having clearly spelled out that we were working with an insurance claim that necessitated that the work be completed and inspected in order to apply for re-payment. Although we had given them a deposit, we had to come up with a significant additional cash advance to pay off ANR's crew in order to avoid this. Their contract does state that full payment is due upon completion, so be forewarned if you have to be reimbursed by insurance and don't have the ability to pre-pay in full: you should negotiate the amount of pre-payment as well as sufficient time to get your insurance inspection, submit paperwork and get your insurer to issue the repayment check. Finally, make sure everything you hear them promise--ends up in the written contract.
Description of Work: Roof replacement following winter storm. Covered by an insurance claim. Remove and dispose of three layers of old roof, install plywood under layer, install new roof, repair gutters.
