I am extremely pleased with the sales & service provided by ANR Roofing. Every step of the way was a professional, frustration free experience. Purchasing a new roof is a big expense, and I evaluated several different options before settling on ANR. Their quote was slightly higher (for an Owens Corning Energy Star roof), but they had the best references and their account person was the most knowledgeable. Both Gerry and Ruben were available and responsive to any questions that I had. Most importantly the quality of their work was outstanding and they actually finished a day ahead of schedule. I highly recommend this company to anyone evaluating roofing companies.

Like any roofing company it is difficult to get them started but when they started it was completed quickly and professionally. Here was the situation..... I spoke with **** and he suggested I email you as to what I found after (and prior) to the job. Overall, I am pleased as to how the roof looks and how quickly it was completed. With that said, I saw the men this morning accidently back into my back shed with the truck and rip off part of the outside wood of the roof support. It looks like an easy replace (if looking at the back shed from the alley way it is the right side angle \ roof support?I am guessing at the name). Also I wanted to make sure that the gutter, that looks like it was removed for them to replace wood, was put back onto the correct pitch. Looking at it without a trained eye seems like it is sagging in the middle. I am worried that the water will collect and not drain properly. Finally, the cleanup left a little to be desired especially the bricks they left on the lawn (which I cleaned up when I got home because my son was tripping over them) and various screws and nails that were left behind, on the lawn and in the back of the house (west side of the house). Again, don?t get me wrong I am happy with the job overall but if you could address the above items it would be greatly appreciated. Here was the response..... Were on it *******. We have a moning meetiong at 8am and then will be in contact to take care of the issues requested as best possible. .....Finally they completed the job, were very professional and curteous. I would recommend ANR Roofing to anyone who needs roof work done. Very satisfied!

ANR Roofing was a pleasure to work with. They were very responsive to all our questions and concerns. They visited our home several times before the actual work began. THey were easy to reach by phone whenever we had a question. Once the work began, their crew worked hard and was very professional. They cleaned up the work site well. It was evident that they want to do the best job possible and we think they did.

The roof had been leaking for some time and we obtained 3 estimates. Ruben, the salesperson from ANR, came out and was very professional and thorough. ANR's estimate was the lowest and included the most "extra's" such as 50 linear feet of wood for free. We received an estimate, insurance infomation and a company profile by email. Because of the rainy spell that we had here in Los Angeles, the work took a little bit of time to get scheduled, but they started as soon as there were a few dry days in a row. The crew was always on time. They worked on the roof for a total of 4 days and, at the end of each day, the entire area was cleaned up. I really appreciated this as we have a dog. They were about as non-intrusive as a crew of roofers could be. Throughout the process, both Ruben and Ricardo (not sure if he is another salesperson or the supervisor) kept in touch with us on the progress. The roof needed additional lumber and Ricardo sent a written estimate before any work was done. The owner, Andy, stopped by after 3 days and gave an update as well. Ruben and Ricardo were very prompt at answering phone calls and emails. I would definitely refer ANR Roofing and would use them again. Hopefully, they'll be around in 20 years when the roof needs repair!

During the estimate process, Andy from ANR was great. He came out and explained his recommendations. He provided us with one of the more expensive quotes, but then worked with us to lower the price so he was competitive. Based upon that, we went with ANR. The roof install itself seems to be really solid, and we're happy with that. After the seamless gutters were installed, we discovered that while the gutters were seamless, nails had been pounded through the front of each gutter to hang them to the rafter tails. This was done only on some gutters, not all. Nails spoil the seamless appearance, and are more prone to failure. It would have been ok if ANR had explained the need for nails prior to install, but they didn't mention it. Andy gave us a discount to compensate. We had agreed that we would pay the full cost of the permit from our city. When ANR provided us with the receipt, it was clear they were charging us for both the permit, and what should have been a refundable deposit required by Norwalk. Because ANR had chosen not to take the old roofing materials to a recycling place, the deposit had been kept. Instead of letting us make that decision ourselves (e.g., pay ANR to go to the recycling place, or pay the deposit), ANR was simply trying to charge us for it without telling us. When we complained to ANR, Andy told us the charge was removed, but it took several calls for the front office to get everything corrected. Finally, this month, after we thought everything was done, we received several letters from the roofing materials company. The letters informed us that ANR hadn't paid for the materials, and the materials company was going to place a lien on our home. We called and left a message with ANR, but they never called us back. We had to submit paperwork to the materials company to prove that we paid ANR in full. To put it mildly, I'm pretty disgusted by the overall experience after this most recent episode. The roof itself is fine, but customer communication is lacking. Since we paid ANR in full, it's completely unacceptable that they won't return our calls when we're about to have a lien placed on our home as a result of their nonpayment. There may be some reasonable explanation, but since they won't call us back, we don't know.
Description of Work: ANR removed the old roof from our home and replaced it with new shingles. They blew in insulation into the attic. They installed seamless gutters and several attic fans.

He took a long time to pay his balance. If you dont pay pre liens will go out. This customer wanted money back period. He was not satisfied with the price we gave him. The gutters were installed to industry standards. We chose to use different attachments for the back because the rafters and the roof lines were not straight. One type of attachment was in the front and the other in the back. Seamless means no connections to the gutter it has nothing to do with what type attachments will be required for the project. They wanted money back for this that and the other they were not satisfied with the contract price we agreed on, and it was very reasonable. We agreed that they would pay for all city permit fees with an (s). We chose to go to the local dump because it was reasonably priced and it was close. The citys choices were either no longer in business or too far to travel plus the price to dump was way over priced. We passed all our city inspections and in conclusion I'm proud to say the roof and gutters will give them many years of service. I think that as much as I try to do my best to satisfy there are people in this world that will never be satisfied no matter what. I wish him all the best as we move forward......

I'm sorry to hear we did not meet your expectations. Yes we made a few errors, but addressed each and every one of them and made sure that they were all resolved to your satisfaction. Some issues we can resolve right away some take time. Yours was the exception. You know you have a good contractor when he resolves the issues at hand. And we did. If there are any problems or concerns we will resolve them. That's what a good company does. It was a pleasure doing business with this customer and I wish him all the best as he moves forward...

I contacted the ANR to do a downspout install based on its high Angie's List rating. Ruben returned my call promptly and gave me an estimate quickly. I called back a couple of months later (November, 2009) to confirm that the estimate was still good and schedule the work. I left a message with a person at the office. No response. Then another message, then 2 emails. All in all I left 4 messages at the office with 2 different people, sent 2 emails, and left 2 messages on Ruben's cell phone over the course of the next six weeks without reply. in early February, 2010, I left a final message on Ruben's cell phone stating that, as a courtesy, they could have least told me that ANR wasn't going to do the job. He called back within a day, apologized and said they were no longer doing gutter work without also doing a roofing job. However, he stated that since he had given me an estimate, they would do the job and his gutter-man Jesse would call. Jesse called within a day and arranged a time to come to the house, though I was not clear if he was going to do the job that day. Ruben called to confirm that Jesse had contacted me and when I asked, stated Jesse would probably do the job that day. I left work early to meet Jesse, who arrived an hour past the meeting window, only to find out he was there to do another estimate. The next I heard from ANR was a week later when the office called to ask me if I had paid the invoice since the work was done. I assured the caller the work had not been done and she proceeded to rattle off a job not remotely related to mine. Then stated she needed to call Ruben. I told he not to bother that I would be calling him, which I did to cancel the job and state my displeasure with their complete lack of organization and customer service. He apologized again. I called another company and the work was completed in an matter of days. Oh, and a few days after my final call to Ruben to cancel the job, Jesse called to ask if I still wanted him to do it-perfect. This company may do great work if they ever get to your house, but the right hand doesn't seem to know what the left hand is doing.

I am soooo sorry. Our phone lines are on fire! You must have called when the power went out. Because of the current El Nino conditions there have been an unusual high volume of phone calls. Why do clients give good contractors F's for stuff like this? I take pride in my business and these reports actually hurt our ratings! If you are unable to get through go to our website, fill out a estimate request form. Someone will contact you within 24 hours, sometimes immediately, 7 days a week. There is a flaw in this service in my opinion or maybe not? With an attitude like that maybe it's better that they were unable to get through????

The ANR Crown Roofing guys were extremely responsive and professional. Their initial service call was later on the same day that I phoned them, which in my experience is pretty much unheard-of. They handled the gutter repair and one leak on that first visit, then returned two days later for the other leak. All service was performed for the single emergency service flat rate they quoted me over the phone. We've had a couple of heavy rainstorms since then, and neither leak has reappeared so far. Very satisfactory.

ANR Crown is without any doubt the most responsive, competent and courteous service company that I have had the pleasure of dealing with in my 6 years in LA. My roof started to leak during a violent storm. A number of roofers said they could only come in a couple of days. I called ANR and spoke to a very cheerful Ruben. I told him of my plight and he said he had to call his crews and he would get back to me in 5 minutes - which he did! 2 hours later during a deluge the ANR Crown roofer showed up a little earlier than promised. He spent about one hour fixing the leak (in abominable conditions). Ruben called shortly after his roofer left just to check up on things. Even though we have had several violent storms since the ANR Crown fix, there are no leaks in my roof. For the working conditions, the price was incredibly fair. I will definitely call on ANR Crown for all of my future roofing needs.

Spoke with three people, including Andy and Rueben. Each became evasive when advised that I was getting several estimates before deciding. Refused to come out for a personal estimate. Advised that work would be 2500-3500 with no measurement or viewing of old roof. Kept insisting on knowing who I had estimates from and how much - when I refused, became even more evasive and uncooperative. I would not use this company for anything.

After obtaining estimates from 4 of the top roofing companies in Los Angeles, as listed on Angie?s List, I selected ANR Crown Roofing because of their knowledgeable and helpful staff and reasonable price. I was very happy with my decision. The sales staff was very thorough in answering my questions about various approaches for fixing my leaky roof, and we discussed a number of different scenarios and materials for getting the job done. As a newcomer to roofing, I really appreciated this personal assistance. For my flat roofed duplex of bungalows, I ultimately selected a modified torchdown roof with a Cool Roof coating to reflect the heat of the sun and reduce energy bills. The crew arrived right on time and quickly set to work tearing off the old, worn out roof. In the process, we discovered some pre existing electrical problems, and the ANR team recommended a very capable electrician to help me fix those while the roof was exposed, and they managed the project schedule accordingly. The whole project was finished in 3 days, and it looks fantastic and of very high quality. The crew was courteous, punctual, and kept the job site clean throughout the work. I would highly recommend ANR Crown Roofing for your job, especially if you are interested in Cool Roofing options.

These guys were great. We got estimates from 3 roofers, and while they were not the cheapest, we ended up going with them when the less expensive roofer flaked on us. They showed up on time, did exactly what they promised, and then cleaned up nicely afterward. It was a complicated roof, as it was over 80 years old and was pretty steep. I would highly recommend them as they were reliable and dependable and did an excellent overall job.
Description of Work: They took off 4 layers of a roof, the earliest of which had been on the house for over 80 years. They then put up plywood and felt and then shingles.
