I found the company to be very reliable. Their people were friendly and courteous and they did what they said they would do. Eli worked with me and took good care of my needs. They were all very responsive to my questions and they worked with me on the pricing to do the best they could which was better than other companies. I felt I got the best for my money. I was so pleased with them and the work that after they roofed my house, I hired them again to do my guest house and garage and once again I was a very satisfied customer and would recommend them to friends and family should they need a roof. THANK YOU ELI AND ANR!
Description of Work: I had my house, guest house and garage re-roofed.

I called to get an estimate for a new roof. They said I had to fill out a form on their website. Not extremely convenient, but I did. After 6 days, I did not hear back from them. So I e-mailed them, asking why no one had gotten back to me. Two days after the e-mail, someone called me.

My company owns and rents multiple industrial properties throughout the greater Los Angeles area. Some of the older buildings have the outdated metal skeleton glass panes in the skylights which are now difficult to replace. During the last winter my tenant complained about multiple leaks during the rain season and it became apparent the four large skylights needed to be replaced. Javier at ANR Roofing came out and gave an estimate and the best way to repair the existing framing in addition to a brighter lighting skylight for my building. After 3 other companies bids it became apparent ANR Roofing was the most professional in addition to have the fairest price. They made custom sized skylights for all four existing frames and as soon as they were ready Javier scheduled an installation date and his team of installers arrived on time and was able to install the skylights without making any mess or letting any debris fall onto the factory floor below all the while a tenant was able to keep his business working without missing a beat. They removed the old skylights and all the old materials leaving the roof cleaner than when they started. They improved the original frames in the roof ensuring no leaks and were done on time. Javier at ANR Roofing followed up during the day of installation and after. They company overall was polite and courteous from beginning to end. The billing was simple and easy, and they stand by their work with a great guarantee. They gave a fair price for a great job, and I feel lucky to now have a skylight and roof repair company I trust and will continue to use for the rest of my companies life. I've recommended the company to others and will continue to do so.

ANR roofing beat out 3 other bids to repair my roof leak, particularly because of their detail inspection and the proposed repair. Apart from the ?one size fits all? solution of simply replaces all the underlayment in the valley (since the leak is located near the valley) and/or all of the roof, Javier (sales rep) pointed out the absence of the channel opening in the existing roof tile layout and the inadequate flashing length as the root cause. The open channel is to allow drainage and to correct the drain/debris problem that caused the excessive wear in the existing underlayment, which I verified as the standard practice per the US roofing association publication. He also noted that the underlayment wear is localized, therefore, did not recommend the overall replacement that would?ve cost me thousands more. Also, included the addition of the flashing around the chimney inside corner as part of the contract, and the total came out to be in-line with all of the other bids. The work commenced on-time, with pre-coordination phone calls, completed as promised (with through cleanup). The general manager visited during the job to make sure everything is going well, and had recommended a couple of improvements which I could to do it myself (even offered some tips). Overall, a group of very honest and open people that have earned my trust and will definitely hire them again when the need arises.

We had a room that was an added on by the previous owner to the original house. It had a torchroof with no crawlspace or insulation and poor ventilation, so during the summer the room baked like an oven. I found ANR Roofing on Angie's list and wanted to get an idea on the options available to help. The were prompt in calling back and setting up an on-site visit and estimate. Ruben was great and he went over all the options and gave us quotes for everything. In the end we decided to just coat the roof (cheapest, least labor) and see how it was during the summer. Originally they wouldn't be able to get to it for a couple of weeks, which was no big deal, but then they called me when they had some time and got to it that weekend. The job was done without any intrusion to my family. We definitely felt an improvement and it was well worth the money.

The original house was built in 1934 (850 Sq Ft) and added on to in the mid 60's. It has a flat roof with many different levels. We gutted and remodeled the whole house over a 4 year period and added a central heat and air conditioner. The old torch down roof at the time looked in reasonably good condition but it was clear that it had about three layers on it. When we put in the A/C/ Heating system we didn't think to tear of the old roof. The a/c system was only 5 years old and within 2 years of its installation we were getting leackage from the air ducts going into the newer part of the house. After a few years of patching and several ruined computer key boards we decided to replace the roof over the newer addition. We looked on Angies list for 3 local roofers. They all were very professional and responsive during the bidding process. We originally got a bid 2 bids to replace the torch down roof at approx $3,500 the other rofer while very knowledgable was going to charge $2,500 just to fix the areas that we leaking and said we needed to remove all of the A/C ducting vents before he reroofed (which we did not get a quote for). . ANR Roofing was about $100 higher than the other bidder but their contract was very detailed about materials, costs and warrantees. They then offered us an upgraded syste of PVC material that had a lifetime warrantee for an additional $1,500. If you;ve ever had a flat roof you would understand why you need a lifetime warrentee. The tear off was done in one day and with no residual mess. The 4 additional days becasue of all the detail work mentioned above. All of the crew were polite and hard working and left the place neat after the days work. There was quite a bit of water damaged wood under the old roof that was repaired as part of the contract price. All this was done with out removing the air ducts. We love the new roof and glad we spent the extra money so we don't have to worry about any more leaks. ANR was great we got every thing we were promised and they couldn't have been anymore cordial and professional.t
Description of Work: Tore off an old flat torch down roof where our A/C is located and replaced it with a PVC lifetime guarantee system A great deal of detail work was involved because of the number of A/C ducts going in the house from the roof as well as the duct vent braces.

I met with several roofing contractors prior to selection of ANR. Our roof was in sad shape, and we needed to get it replaced before any rain begins. Based upon their bid, responsiveness and professionalism I chose them above the others. I worked with Ruben on the proposal and once we came to terms, I dealt mostly with Ricardo for scheduling, etc. The workers arrived promptly every day on time, worked all day, and left in the late afternoon. It took 3 full days to complete the project and seemed to be very fast. Everyone on the crew was very professional, courteous and helpful. They did a good job cleaning up what was a really huge mess! I was kind of dreading this project as it is the first roof I've ever replaced and I had anxiety about it, but the guys from ANR were very understanding and thankfully we didn't have any surprises or hidden costs. The new roof is beautiful; I hope my neighbors are jealous. I love my sky lights. They dramatically change the dynamic of the rooms. I would highly recommend solar tube lights if you are going to be re-roofing. It has only just been installed, but with 10 years warranty on labor and 50 years on material, I am very confident that this roof is built to last. Bring on the rain and wind!! I did not have any issues or complaints with the project, and overall I am very pleased with the quality and professionalism provided by ANR.
Description of Work: We hired ANR to replace the aging roof on our home and detached garage. They also installed two solar tube lights, a solar attic fan, and gutters. We also had additional insulation blown in to our attic.

Fom the initial phone call to the final project, ANR roofing was professional, punctual, and did a terrific job. There was much dry rot, and the team carefully replaced all the old wood, with brand new wood. The work was completed in the time that was stated in the original estimate, and to my satisfaction. Not only was Ruben on the ball, but Andy, the owner, took a personal interest in the project as well as keeping me in the loop. I would definitely recommend them to anyone interested repairing their roof or putting on a new roof.

I was forced to get a new roof on my garage by my insurance company (they did a "drive by", peeked over a locked gate, and saw that I had a tarp on part of the garage roof because of damage from the 11/11 windstorm), which I really couldn't afford, so I was not happy about having to go through this process. Every single person I dealt with at ANR made it simple, clear, and easy for me to understand. They were on time for estimate appointments and work days, completed the job on time, and cleaned up the mess. I was extremely impressed with their professionalism, courtesy, thoroughness, and their "gadgets and apps," like explaining the slope of the roof and why it was leaking on my front porch (I had them do some additional voluntary work because I was comfortable dealing with them and thought their prices were very competitive), and also showing me some damage they discovered at the peak of the roof on the house without me having to climb up there. They explained that because of the slope of the porch roof, the shingles that had been used originally were inappropriate and unable to keep the water from seeping through the roof (I have had three contractors look at that leak and this is the first time someone figured out the problem and fixed it - we've had several heavy rains since they fixed it, and it does not leak!) The estimate was emailed to me very quickly after the first visit, they were able to start work immediately, and the men doing the work were quick, polite, and efficient. I am thrilled with the effectiveness and looks of the roof (and it has been tested in the rain - it doesn't leak). There was not one single negative, no concerns, all went better than expected.

I contacted ANR Roofing on the 27th of September to bid a project. In the initial phone call I was directed to fill out a form on their website which I did immediately. I then did not hear from Eli with ANR until the 4th of October (one week later) which was fine. However the message that was left by Eli was that they had not received more leads in my area so they still wouldn't be out until October 9th or 11th (another week later). Since this was just to get pricing, I thought that I should call the company to speak to the Owner and let him know that his sales people were putting people off for weeks just to give pricing on jobs. When I called back on the 4th I was only able to leave a message for the owner. My call was never returned until I heard from Rueben on October 8th letting me know he wanted to get me on the schedule to look at the project on October 10th. There were all sorts of apologies for their perfomance up to this point. In spite of the delays up to this point I conceded to have Rueben come out to look at the project on October 10th. They were thankful that they were in essence given a second chance in spite of their performance. Rueden called me on October 10th to tell me he would not be able to come out now until Thursday the 11th. I told him not to bother at this point. If it is this hard to get a company to come out to your project to bid on a complete commercial re-roof, I can only imagine what their performance would be like they were actually given the job. I am not sure why they have all of the good ratings but my experience with them did not reflect the other ratings they have received here.

See above. Overall the job went well and ANR did what they said they would, with my due diligence. I had requested diverters be installed above the entrances and they came back and did it.
Description of Work: I had a reroof of a duplex rental, installation of a solar fan and attic insulation. Javier from ANR Roofing came on schedule and discussed productts, gave samples, measured roof and emailed estimate in a timely manner. After checking out solar fans I decided to increase the size from10w to 15w, which they did. I was told there would be a 5% Angies List discount which I applied to the price. When I chose them and went to sign the contract it was a little different from the estimate in terms of discount and payment, but it was cleared up. ANR was very good about working out schedules and any questions, but I had to call to check. I changed the type of insulation which added $1000 to the original price, but ANR took care of it. Bottom line, ANR did a good job, but regarding all jobs, the homeowner needs to have everything in the contract and make sure the contractor does it, from payment draws to installation of products.

One portion of my home had a flat torchdown roof directly over an exposed beam wood ceiling. With no insulation whatsoever, this room was always 10 degrees warmer than the rest of the house, obviously causing our air conditioning to work much harder in the summer. When this roof recently started to leak, I began searching for a roofing contractor to install insulation along with a Title 24 "cool roof" system. I received three proposals. ANR's was not the cheapest, but they were on the low end of the range, and roughly 30% less than the high bidder. ANR was by far the most professional and sophisticated of the bunch. Ruben, ANR's sales manager, came to my home, took measurements and photos, and wrote an estimate on the spot using his iPad. The proposal was detailed and comprehensive, precisely detailing the work to be done and materials to be used, along with warranties for materials and labor (also worth mentioning, the best warranty among the three proposals). Ruben emailed the proposal and I awarded them the job the same day. The next morning, Ricardo (general manager) came to my house to review the job, along with the owner of the business and 4-5 workers. He said they were doing a "training exercise" in addition to reviewing the details of my job. They started the job a day later, showing up exactly on time, and finished in two days. They kept the job site clean and did an excellent job on the new roof. The insulation and PVC roof made a HUGE difference in terms of interior temperature. We had a couple of hot days the weekend after the job was complete and my air conditioner ran much less frequently than it has in the past. My experience with ANR Roofing was very positive. They did excellent work at a fair price, quickly, and were a pleasure to deal with--great communication and professionalism from the whole team.
Description of Work: Removed an existing flat torchdown roof, approximately 600SF, installed 4" of polyiso rigid insulation, and installed white 60 mil PVC cool roof system, integrating with existing shingle roof. New flashing installed at vents and chimney. Exterior A/C ducting was sealed and coated.

Response from ANR Roofing
Thank You angieslist members for choosing my company. Too bad I didn't get the opportunity to welcome this member into the ANR family of satisfied customers! We don't want to waste your time if we are unable to help you, but really does that mean we deserve an "F" for not wasting your or my time. I think it is good business practice if I can't help and move on to the next contractor or in my case next member. I was up front, and honest. This member does not own the home ( I am familiar with the process he is talking about). I deal with banks,, contractors, Insurance companies, mortgage companies, etc.... He did not like the fact that I was charging him a fee. The fee was modest just to pay for my time. I was willing to credit the fee towards the deposit of the new roof if he bought the house. He got himself into a huffy and said he would find someone else. I would like to wish this member the best as he moves forward. An "F" REALLY!!!!!!!!

Hopefully the quality is good. It has not rained heavy since the leak so we haven't had a chance to find out whether their job fixed our problem or not yet. They gave us one year warranty so hopefully problems will surface within a year if the problems are not properly addressed.
Description of Work: We had a leak through our canned light in our second floor study during one day of heavy rain. ANR Roofing came out to take a look and told us they can replace broken cement tiles, seal, and clean up the leaves and branches on the roof lines and gutters. Not being able to trace the leak, that was the best course of action. They came out to performed the tasks on a promised day.

ANR was very quick with the initial estimate though we had a couple of miscommunications while trying to get the job underway. Once we had all of the details ironed out and the schedule set, they were extremely responsive and professional. They showed up on time and finished on time. Everything was according to schedule. They even repaired a garage tile and part of a railing that had nothing to do with the job. How often does that happen!Highly recommended.
Description of Work: ANR replaced my old asphalt shingle roof with a new Monier tile roof complete with top of the line radiant barrier plywood, flashing, vents and so on. They worked with my solar installation company to make sure the systems were integrated and any damage from the installation was repaired on the spot.

We were extremely satisfied and they gave us some good advice of saving a bunch money as they told us what we could do to take care of it ourselves.

I initially filled out a form on the web on Friday 13th to set up a time for an estimate. I wanted to replace both the flat and sloped part of my roof on a 2-story duplex. If you are superstitious, then the date says it all. I eventually got an appointment for Thursday morning the following week (the 19th) with Reuben. He called that morning to cancel saying that he didn't have a 2-story ladder. I was clear the day I made the appointment to let the company know that they would need one to estimate the job. After all, they are a roofing company so I would think having a ladder is an essential part of doing business. Anyway, he apologized and said that he would call me on Monday (the 23rd) to set up an appointment. I wondered what happened when I didn't receive a call, but I did have other estimates from companies I felt good about, so I was not too concerned. I finally got a call from Reuben on Wednesday the 25th. He asked me if I had other estimates and I said "yes." At this point he basically bowed out of the job citing the difficulty of getting a ladder. I'm not sure what was going on...if they have too much business, didn't think I was serious, really didn't have the appropriate ladder, or...? In any case, the lack of responsiveness gives me pause in recommending ANR.
