Roberto was only at my house for 4 hours and he tried to charge me $530. He is insane.

I was charged $380 to install a $10 lock (only a screwdriver was required for installation) and to mount a doorbell (no wiring needed). The entire job took less than an hour. Prior to installation, I asked the pro multiple times for a price (via phone, text, and in person). I did not receive one until after the job was completed. When I asked for a receipt for the lock he purchased, he said he did not have one and could not furnish it. Although I did dispute the transaction in person, I was cognizant of the fact the he had just changed the lock to my front door and could access my home at any time. As I am a woman and I live alone, I was terrified to continue escalating the issue. I cannot believe I was taken advantage of in this way. After he left, I called two local locksmiths for estimates. Both informed me that this was not more than a $100 job! I just wanted to share this experience in hopes that it does not happen to anyone else.
