Great job. Great price. Showed up on time, and got the job done fast.

Provider came exactly on time on the day agreed to and performed the work perfectly. Pencil cactus is a horrible plant to work with as it exudes a toxic sap when cut. The provider was prepared for this and the job was perfect. The termite tenting was able to be performed. My initial call to the provider was returned within one hour and the provider was able to come to my home that day to give me an estimate. He was able to perform the job that same week which is exactly what I needed. I highly recommend this tree service. The price was very fair and the work was able to be performed on rather short notice. Everything was cleaned up and no damage was done to the home or yard. Excellent service and excellent price.

If we had used them, things would have gone well. They were simply outbid. Very happy with the timely way they provided their quote.

THE GOOD: First, let me say that Louis is wonderful -- very prompt and professional. His large crew arrived on time and did all the work expected, and then some. This was a lot of work and required clearing out much of the overgrowth and foliage in my front and back yard - and his entire crew worked all day long. Overall, the tree work was excellent. THE BAD: The reason I didn't give him straight and quot;Aand quot;s was because I very clearly stated at the beginning that I didn't want birds' nests touched. This is May -- spring -- and I did not want to disturb any of the nests especially those with eggs or infant birds in them. I instructed clearly that if his people found a nest, they were to leave it and the surrounding limbs intact. Louis also communicated this to his people -- and when I arrived at the house at 11:00 am, I instructed his foreman again not to touch any bird nests. When I inspected the finished work I was extremely upset to find a tiny infant bird, too small to fly, dead on my patio. It was crushed flat. There was no sign of a nest or siblings around. It is very obvious that his people knocked the bird out of the nest,(which probably had live siblings in it) when clearing the dead wood from the tree, and disposed of the entire nest. Unfortunately, Louis doesn't have time to supervise each job personally -- and his people, in his absence, were just slashing and cleaning without regard to my specific instructions. BOTTOM LINE: If you care about birds or other wildlife in your yard -- if you have a job that requires attention to the habits of living creatures, do not use this vendor. If you have a standard job -- brush clearing -- Affordable Tree Care is fine. I

They did an excellent job! They even cut down some of the roots that had grown underground. The crew was constantly on the phone with the head guy to make sure that they provided us with the best service.

Excellent. The owner Luis gave us a clear explanation of what he would do and an estimate below others we had received. A crew of four men arrived and worked steadily. They were skillful and careful. We really appreciated the removal (shredding) of all the clippings and the overall clean-up. What a difference! We are very pleased.

The workers showed up on time and did a great job trimming the two trees and cleaned up afterward so there was no evidence they had been there, except for the work they did. I would recommend Affordable Tree Service to any of Angie's members.

Louis and his crew did a fabulous job!!! I am very happy. The trees look fantastic. I am very pleased with the results. I will definitely recommend him to my friends, and will hire him again to trim my fruit trees and one unruly Palm.

The crew is very artistic in trimming and shaping the trees. I was pleasantly surprised by that.

It went very well. From the first call on a Sunday just to get an estimate. Louis called me back wih in a few minutes and said he wold swing by on he's way to Oxnard for a family gathering. He arrived on time and took in all the details of a very large job. I asked that he give me the estimate in sections so I could judge if I would have to do it in sections to stay with in my budget. He provided with a written estimate and offered me a billing option. Affordable was my third estimate Of the three, I received Affordables was slightly higher, however I felt Louis truly understood what I wanted and wold deliver the results I expected. After a few days of thought, I went with Affordable Tree. Louis and he's crew arrived on time Saturday morning at 8am as scheduled. They worked safely and neatly. They had to claim several very tall trees and always tied off the branches so none ever hit the ground; the branches were lowered safely. They covered my pool, so as not to have debri clutttter and make a mess of the pool. The lemon tree was trimmed to keep the fruit growing. The ivy from my neighbors home was out of hand, not any longer, thanks to Louis and the team at Affordable Trees.

Luis , the owner called me back right away and came the very same day to give a fair estimate to remove a ficus and 2 bougainvillea . He was very professional and kind. I went with another company that I also found on here on Angies list. They were $150 cheaper and did a very good job, but not with the same intimate , one on one service that Luis offer. The other company was more like a mill process . get a number and get in line

Louis returned my call promptly and quickly set up an appointment. His crew arrived during the scheduled window and Louis was on site for part of the service. The crew worked intently and were pretty professional. The work was done in a timely manner and they did a good job cleaning up after themselves. (There was some minor damage to the edge of some gardens but nothing that indicated carelessness or neglect.) I will hire them again in the future. [Some English spoken by crew members.]

Louis Limon is very pleasant to work with, he listens well and tries to work with the homeowner and service his/her needs. His crew is very hardworking and professional, they did a great job, and were very fast. They also cleaned up after. I supervised the aesthetic or shaping of the trees, and they did their best to meet my directions. I would definitely hire them again and recommend them to other homeowners!

The process was effortless on my part and work was done with trouble.

Great. Fast! Cleaned everything. Professional. Courteous. Pleasure to work with. Polite and considerate of my lil pet who lives by the tree when they came for estimate and for three removal. One of the best priced, best experience (others hesitated on the details of how to take down such a mighty height), and best attitude.

Not only was this crew punctual and professional, but they did an almost obsessive cleanup afterward, vacuuming every leaf on the property--even where the debris was unrelated to the tree work. They also did some work on our neighbor's trees at the same time. We first learned about Affordable Tree Care from a neighbor who had used them for years, and several houses on our street banded together to have them trim our overgrown, city-owned street trees last year (since the city reported something like a 45-year waiting list). They did excellent work then, also. Louis, the owner, is pleasant and, while he's very busy, he makes a point of supervising his crews at the beginning and end of the job, appointing a captain to watch over things during the work. We definitely recommend this company.

Great! Large crew showed up and finished everything in one day.

I called Affordable Tree Service to get an estimate, 1 of 3. Luis was very prompt in looking at the trees to be removed and followed up twice with me by telephone. He was the most knowledgable of the 3 but, his price was higher. I was looking for quality, as well as, a good price. He was able to lower his original estimate to meet the other estimates. Though he wasn't the least expensive, the quality of the job was worth the extra cost. He was also able to complete the job when I wanted it done. He arrived promptly to our location, worked efficiently, and was all cleaned up within an hour. He also offered to split the cost in to 2 equal payments, if needed. We had a great experience, and the job was completed beyond our satisfaction.

These guys do great work at a great price. I've hired them three times.

I was initially impressed with the knowledge Louis showed as we discussed the estimate prior to the work being performed. We were able to speak at length about what I wanted to accomplish. Louis shared his knowledge of how each type of tree would respond to the type of cutting we were discussing. He let me know what to expect at the time of cutting and over time. I felt I was able to make informed decisions after speaking with him that would keep me happy with the trees' progress long term. His concern with the health of the trees matched mine and I felt confident and sure of his expertise. I decided to hire him after checking out his trade license with the state. I needed to be sure I had a competant professional because much of the work involved cutting heavy growth that could potentially threaten my house and that of my neighbors. The work crew arrived promptly at 8:00 AM. This crew was very competent, pleasant, punctual and willing to work with me on every issue. I was impressed with the easy way they worked together, the fact that they enjoyed their work, and their skill in performing a very difficult job safely. Everything came down smoothly and without event. The foreman, Danny, was very competent, easy to work with, and very helpful in every way. I realized as some of the growth was being cleared that I had forgotten to include a pesky fig tree that had been cut, but kept growing back in the estimate. Danny had the workers take it out by digging out the stump and Louis did not attempt to charge for this extra labor.
