Description of Work: Needed emergency work done when a large branch broke from a tree in our front yard (we had been putting off having the entire property done for 5-6 years b/c of cost AND some very bad experiences with prior tree services). This was on a Friday night. Called 4-5 arborists/tree services I found on Angie's List. Louis Limon called me back immediately (within 2 minutes), said he was in my area on another job. He came right over, walked the property with us, knew every single tree, plant & shrub by name and spotted problems we never knew we had. Louis was not only the most knowledgeable arborist we have dealt with, but also just a kind and genteel man who absolutely loves what he does. The price he gave us for major, major work on the entire property was lower - by a mile - than any service we'd ever used & it allowed us to do the whole job ASAP rather than piecemeal, like we had been doing. The work was performed over 2 days, the crew on site was excellent, no nonsense and the cleanup was fantastic. These guys feel more like artists than arborists. I have found my go-to tree service and highly, highly recommend Louis Limon's Affordable Tree Care to all.

 + -1 moreLouis and a team turned up at 8.30 and surveyed the job; I was then disappointed to hear that Louis had another job and the crew he had brought over was in fact ACE tree service. I quickly checked them on line and saw that they also had great track record so didn't complain. Louis then left for another job leaving his uncle in charge; all very polite and apologetic. They finished by three and Louis called in to check was happy. I had to remind them to seal the smaller cut branches of the lemon tree and call them back to pick up branches left in the back run. Overall, happy with the quality of the trim and the efficiency/politeness of the workers. Clean up wasn't as thorough as I'd hoped. I just saw a large branch still sat on my roof as well as a few branches on the swimming pool heater, debris covering a planter by the lemon tree that was full of young plants. And they also damaged a small Rosemary shrub just planted.
Description of Work: Trim/thinning 7 Birch, 2 Willows, 1 Lemon tree, Camilia and 3 other large trees. Clean up and haul away. Tree's hadn't been trimmed in 2 years.

 + -1 moreWe were extremely happy with Louis. He was friendly, courteous, and very knowledgeable. One tree was wrapped around a pipe we though wasn't in use, so we told them to destroy it. Turns out it was a gas pipe (oops!). Our plumber couldn't make it right away, so Louis sent someone he knew to come fix it asap. We would absolutely recommend him and use him again. He's even been available for questions since then to help nurse our trees (they were neglected by the previous owners). Thanks Louis!
Description of Work: Louis' team removed a large camilla tree/bush, and a guava tree from our backyard. They also did some light pruning on our lemon avocado, and orange trees.

 + -1 moreThe owner, Louis Lemon, met with my work site foreman, Dan Scott (Also on Angie's List). Dan explained to Louis what work needed to be performed. I had pulled other companies (6 in total) from Angie's list to request quotes. Some called back and gave bids, some didn't call back at all. Louis wasn't the cheapest, but he impressed Dan with his understanding of the work to be done and issues that would have to be addressed, like a fence that would more then likely fall down once the tree was removed. Louis' crew worked diligently, and did a terrific job cleaning up after the work was completed.
Description of Work: The job required the removal of many shrubs, bushes, and one very large old tree.

Description of Work: Most of my lemon tree's branches had collapsed under the weight of the fruit. They removed the branches that could not be saved. Pruned and supported branches that could be saved. Cleaned up after themselves.

 + -1 moreLouis Limon is a real gentleman. He gave a fair bid and provided evidence of insurance without being asked. He and his crew arrived on time (actually a bit early to begin staging) and took great care and pride in their work. The trimming looks very good and should last a couple of years. I would not hesitate to recommend Affordable Tree Service, and plan to use them regularly.

 + -1 moreWhile priced on a high-side, work performed was excellent. Crew was not intrusive (i.e., no radios, personal trash, etc.)and started work on time. Louis Limon was professional and kept in contact with me throughout the job.
Description of Work: Trimmed variety of trees, including several mature sycamores and avocado trees. Brought a 7 man crew with chipper and completed job in a day. Good job in checking the site and cleaning all debris, including leaves in rain gutters and on roof.

Description of Work: Trimmed 3 eucalyptus trees, two fruit trees, and one California pepper tree. Trimmed ivy, bouganvilla vines, and removed passionflower vines. Cleaned up and hauled everything away.
