+ -1 moreWe have used Andy twice to update our pool equipment and both times we were very happy with both the result, the cost and the closeness with which it came to the estimate. We had old equipment which failed in fairly spectacular fashion. Andy was one of several to come and give us an estimate. The first thing that impressed us was Andy's if it ain't broke don't fix it approach. Rather than proposing pulling everything out and replacing it, he looked at what was still working and suggested an approach designed to save us money and let us keep using the working equipment. Our pool service people have commented a number of times on the quality of the work and the neatness of the installation.
Description of Work: He replaced, the heater, the filter, updated the piping. Some monthes later we replaced the pump and installed a wireless pool control system.

Description of Work: I purchased the Big Deal as I have a algae problem in my pool. Andy contacted me the next day to attempt to schedule the Big Deal. When I called him to discuss the problem he let me know the Big Deal did not cover any pool cleanup services, but rather was for pool equipment maintenance. He advised I ask for refund since the Big Deal did not cover what I needed him to help me with.

+ -1 moreDue to holidays we experienced quite a delay in getting the hit tub up and running. But, its usuable now. We also got trained in the chemical usage for hot tubs.
Description of Work: Regular cleanup and empty and fillup of spa. Our Hot Tub had some issue that were fixed, like broken pump tubes and fuse. He fixed is without any problem.

Description of Work: [update] Had another service call with Andy on 10/20/2015. Great experience, highly recommended. Andy helped with our stucked pump, and troubleshooting the cleaning robot. Also booked a follow-up service to treat our pool. ---- Purchased the $39 deal. Andy informed me this is for only 15 mins of work, and will bill separately for extra time. Helped me troubleshoot heater problem, and adjusted the pump settings. + -1 morePlease correct your entry for this provider. It was annoying to do my research on your website, decide on a provider, make time to call the provider and then have such a negative result. I expect your database to be up to date otherwise your service is not useful to me or my family.

+ -1 moreAndy came by (in the heavy rain) and gave us an estimate. It took a couple of days for the parts to come in and then he came back and fixed it. The new pump is much quieter than the old. He has a wonderful personality. I think we have found our pool guy!

Description of Work: Mr. Hallin responded to our call shortly after we first contacted him and came to our house the same day to inspect the spa. He contacted the spa manufacturer in Tennessee and rapidly identified that the electrical connections to the spa had been improperly wired and had burned out. He disconnected the electrial hazard and advised us of the situation. He offered us the option of having the spa replaced versus repaired, and we agreed to repair the unit. He then contacted the manufacturer in Tennessee again and arranged to have the electrical unit sent to his business. He installed the burned out electrical unit and serviced the spa. He then inspected the unit again and discovered a leak. He called the manufacturer a several more times at his own expense and arranged to have replacement parts sent. This manufacturer apologized for the delay in service and agreed to ship the broken parts at no additional cost. Even though we had not previously worked with Mr. Hallin he performed all of these services without a deposit fee. His work was prompt, efficient, and very professional. He was polite, informative, personable and knowledgeable. We certainly would recommend his services to anyone at the highest level and without reservation. We are grateful to have found him on our first visit to Angie's List as new members. Thanks to Mr. Hallin and Angie's List!

Description of Work: Our spa had gone green and Andy helped us get it clean - he scrubbed the spa clean for us. He is very knowledgeable, willing to teach you how to treat the water so you can do it yourself. He is very professional and friendly. His service is really very good. As you can tell I would recommend him in a heart beat. We have engaged him on a regular monthly service. He is very reasonably priced as well.

+ -1 moreAndrew Hallin was great. We sold our home but we always had him every week. He came to do our pool for several years. He was good. He would come out and do his work. He was consistent and didn’t miss any week or anything like that. He charged $100 a month which was really reasonable and he never changed his prices over the years. He would do other service for us and would charge us accordingly. We would rate him highly. We sold our home. We would have continued to use him if we were still in that area.

+ -1 moreAndy got in touch with us right away and came out to our house the following week. He called the night before to talk us through setting up the filters and filling the tub with water. The next morning he arrived and taught me how to test the water, add chemicals, and maintain the tub. He was very friendly and explained things in an easy to understand format. By the time he left our tub was up and running and we were in the tub for the first time that night. Andy was knowledgeable and courteous and we would recommend and use his services again.

Description of Work: Cleans the pool, makes sure the chemicals are balanced, and cleans the pool. He will do the filters twice a year. If there is ever an emergency he usually has the part and can repair it quickly.
