Upon my call for help Phil came to my house, troubleshot the problem and replaced my taknless water heater in a matter of hours with a refurbished unit. Problem solved and my family and I could not be happier with the results.

They performed all work as promised. They did quality work and communicated very well throughout the process and were very timely. The price was high but they exceeded expectations.

It went very well overall. We had no water for two days and Phil's plumbing produced as promised.

It was awful expensive but he did a good job. I originally had another guy put one in two years ago but it did not work right so I called Phil and he put in another new one all over again. He knew his job and did his work right; he did a good job. He was very professional, punctual and I will use him again in the future.

It was a great experience.

Phil indicated on the phone that I may not need to replace entire shower valve and that only parts may be required. Upon his arrival, he went quickly to work and, in fact, changed out parts, only, not requiring me to buy and have installed a new unit.

Phil came gave an estimate. Had his people come and install. They did a great job. Phil returned to check the work. Called back even when I didn't leave a message.

I didn't hire Phil because he turned me off in my very first phone conversation with him. At least he called back (which is a plus because so many don't). But in our first talk, he was going on and on about his experience and abilities. I didn't understand why he was selling himself so hard over the phone to me when it was clear I had already checked out his profile on Angie's List and wouldn't be calling him if I wasn't already impressed by what I had read. Then when it came time to make the appointment for an estimate, I realized why he was selling himself so hard. He doesn't offer free estimates. He charges $65 for Angie's List customers ($95 for non-Angie's List customers) just to come out to talk to you. I must have sounded perturbed by this and he must have picked up on my hesitation because he said, "$65 is a h*** of a deal for 2 hours of my time!" He started telling me that he's very busy and he has to make a living and he can't go out on free estimates. "Companies that give free estimates don't have enough to do. They don't have clients. Because they're no good. I'm very good. I'm always busy. It's my time and I gotta make money." I was so shocked, I didn't even know how to respond. In one breath, he insulted other professionals who ARE willing to give free estimates. And in the same breath, he managed to stroke his ego again. He kept talking about how he's the best at tankless water heaters. But I'm not interested in water heaters at all. I never said I was! I found him extremely unprofessional. I guess if you're willing to put up with the cockiness and shell out $65 to someone you've never seen, then he's your man.

The complete installation went very smoothly from start to finish. Phil explained the process and answered all questions I had. His installers showed up on time and did a neat job. The plumbing inspector even told me he was impressed by the quality work. I highly recommend Phil's plumbing.

Phil's Plumbing was professional and did the job right the first time. He also cleaned up afterwards.

This is the second time we have used Phil. The first was just a repair job, this was plumbing! The crew that came to the house and worked for 5 days were on time, professional and did exactly what was wanted. Whenever there was a question about something they asked me what was wanted to insure that they got it right. I would recommend Phil for your plumbing needs, large or small.

We were worried about a leak under our kitchen sink. After reviewing Angie's list, we called Phil's Plumbing. After Phil's inspection on12/27/2010, the leak was found to be due to a worn kitchen faucet (fixture). We decided to buy a new fixture. Phil returned to our home that evening to be sure we had purchased the correct type of faucet fixture to fit our sinks openings. On 12/28/2010, Phil arrived with his technician Luis, who found that we also had worn angle stops causing the leak. Luis installed new angle stops and our new faucet fixture. We no longer have leaks :) No longer worried :) Thanks so much to Phil and Luis who were very professional, arrived at appointment time (7:30 am) and fixed our problem. We are grateful.

Phil installed a new water pressure regulator and new 1" copper piping (with an expansion tank) to my water heater. From the water heater, he ran PEX to a central location in my attic (My walk-in attic is accessible from my 2nd floor) where he built a manifold with valves and separate runs for each fixture in my house. The job went well and Phil is easy to work with.

I carefully researched and took estimates on the installation of a tankless system. Research will show you that installation is 90% of the battle with a tankless system. Phil came out and gave me a very through discussion of the pros and cons of tankless systems. He honestly answered my questions about which system was the preferable system for my application. His quote was straight forward and clearly itemized. He was clear about the benefits of permitting (do it!). He followed up to see if I had questions and was able to set up the installation quickly. He even advised me that Takagi prices were going up soon and I was able to get my unit for less than I would in a few weeks. Installation went smoothly and was minimally disruptive. The guys that did the installation were friendly, polite and competent. I lived with the unit for two days and I was glad that I did. After two days I had some minor complaints that were easily resolved when he came by to finish off the project and collect final payment. Phil is worth every penny if you are looking to do a tankless system. This is one case where you don't want to just go with the "cheapest". That person does not know how to maximize the system and is just trying to get the bid. He really knows and understands the systems and more importantly the installation. Saying that... he is still very reasonable and really took care of the whole situation from start to finish. He even threw in an earthquake valve for me. If you want to go tankless... call Phil and his team and they will get you set up.

I would highly recommend Phil to everybody looking for a plumber. Not only is he friendly and professional but he is very knowledgeable and will do everything he can to fix the problem. Altogether we spent about $4,000 after all the work was done but it was money well spent. Sometimes you just have to spend the money to get the problem fixed the right way. Since the end of June we have not heard the "hammering" noise and I'm happy to report that we have 3 very happy kids now.

Leak was fixed and a new water heater was installed and I didn't have to do any of it.

Phil contacted us after my wife posted on a contractors website that we needed a plumber. After talking to him a couple times and checking him out with BBB and Contractors license board we set a appt time for a estimate.He came out on time and we talk about what I want done,my son suggested we get tankless water heater. We talk to phil about different types of tankless water heaters,energy saving water heaters and tax credits plus rebates for the water heaters.We went with tankless water heater plus water softener. Two day later he gave us his estimate by email arrange a day later to talk about estimate and he show up on time. He brought pamphlets for tankless water heater and water softener and his estimate broke the price each individual job plus also list the manufacturer for the toilets and bidet seats(I originally wanted 2). He even listed different price option for certain individual jobs( example bidet seats and also water softener). After discuss the estimate with him I told him going ahead a do the job. He told me that he would start on Wednesday at 7:00 A.M. and the job would take three days. Him and his workers show up and completed everything within three days and had everything inspected by a city inspector. Everything passed and one week later he hookup the appliances. I paid him $1000 up front when show up to start the job $6500.50 after inspection and $300 for hooking up appliances.I got the plumbing permit from him and a form for my tankless water heater rebate with the gas company and information on tax credit for the tankless water heater. Overall happy with his work.
