Sunrise did an acceptable job initially installing landscape lighting. Unfortunately, a bank of lights recently went out in the front yard. When I called the owner, Bill Vermeulen, to see if he could troubleshoot the problem, he indicated he needed to check the schedule and would get back to me. I informed him that we had some important events coming soon up at our house. After waiting 3 days for a call, I called again and left a message. Again, no response for two days. Finally, he called and left a message that simply said he was too booked to do anything for us. Apart from an unwillingness to provide follow-up service on a fairly expensive job, his discourtesy and lack of professionalism in making me wait that long for a response, only to tell me to basically take a hike, is most disconcerting. If he was too busy to help, he should have told me right away so I could begin searching for an alternative. Consider this quote from Sunrise's website, "Why We Are Better" tab: "At Sunrise, we consider ourselves a breed apart from the competition because of our resolute commitment to the highest standard of ethics in everything we do - every day. Our customer service doesn't stop when the sun goes down - we are available 24 hours a day for clients if necessary." For failing to live up to his own stated standards, I assign an "F" grade to this contractor.
