They replaced 5 boards, and want me to pay $3,000 for 5 boards. There is damage to the fascia boards and the eaves all the way around my house, but they won't fix it. I walked all the way around the house with Darryl, the president of the company. When I pointed out some large holes in the boards, Darryl said, "Well, I COULD fill the holes...." Meaning, I could but I won't. Not only that, but they knocked off several bricks when installing the boards, and didn't bother to repair those, either.
Description of Work: Los Alamitos office- Not much. They replaced 5 boards, and charged me $3000 for the job. They refused to fix the rest of the damage, even though the president of the company verbally agreed to fix it. When I complained that there was more damage, after they "finished" the job, he stated that he wanted to work things out and wanted me to be a satisfied customer. I returned his calls to work things out, left several messages, and he refused to return my calls. Then on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, I received a mechanics lien from him, against my house. He will NOT finish the job. I also got bids from three other contractors, and they all stated they would repair ALL of the damage, for less money than he quoted me.

We are a family owned and operated small business and have been doing business in Southern California for over 30 years. We take pride in the name Sierra Termite Control, Inc. and in the quality of our work. We do not have any other complaints filed against our company. Both our lack of complaints and the length of time we have been in business show the effort we put forth to conduct ourselves in a helpful and professional manner. The ability of an individual to use social media to slander the reputation of a company is powerful because it allows one individual’s writing, even if false, to reach our potential customers. Sierra Termite’s standard payment policy is that the outstanding balance is due upon completion of the work. For [member name removed], an exception was made to extend the payment period beyond the date work was completed on her home due to our previous experience of working with her when we fumigated her home in 2013. The work to be done on her home, outlined by the termite report, was completed and November 11th was the date agreed upon for payment to be made. On November 11th [member name removed] was contacted for final payment; However, [member name removed] stated that she could not pay the outstanding balance because she has not been paid. Following the November 11th date, voice mail messages were left at the home with no response. Also, a business card was left at the home with the other occupants in an attempt to contact [member name removed]. When [member name removed] finally responded, it was to say that the work was not completed and only five boards had been replaced. However the termite report clearly lists the damage that Sierra Termite was contacted to replace, all repairs were completed and painted. Also, a follow up inspection was completed to address [member name removed] areas of concern and no termite damage was noted. The areas of concern noted by [member name removed] were split and weathered wood and exposed knot holes. Neither of which Sierra Termite was contracted to repair. If [member name removed] believed that our estimate was too high or that scraping the peeling paint, spraying bleach and painting of all eaves should be included even though this work is clearly not included in our termite report nor was it implied verbally she should have contracted with another company. In hopes of resolving this matter we did offer to patch the cracked boards and fill the knot holes. [member name removed] was not interested in accepting this offer as she wants all of the peeling paint scraped, boards filled and the eaves painted or the balance due for the work completed $1,475.00 to be waived. To date a demand for payment letter and as required a copy of the Claim of Mechanics Lien and Notice of Mechanics Lien that we intend to file with the county recorder’s office was mailed to [member name removed]. We have had no response to either.

Sierra Termites was very punctual, detailed and professional.
Description of Work: Sierra Termites came in to inspect all areas of the home, inside and out. Areas were there was infestation was marked for easy future reference. Very detailed & professional.

We had several bids from other contractors who wanted to go overboard with the termite treatment. We actually had the house treated and tented a year prior. While other contractors had wanted us to spend a couple of thousands to do a complete interior and exterior slab injections (again due to suspicions that the previous treatment didn't completely rid of termite), we felt that only Sierra was honest it their appraisal of the situation. They explained that only troubled areas would be addressed and that only the interior needed injections. They explained that once they're done flooding the areas with chemicals, an exterior injection job would be redundant, unneccessary and costly. We liked their approach and they did a great job for us. Highly recommended!
Description of Work: We hired them to do concrete slab injections over a few areas where there were suspicions of termite infestation.

WE HAVE BEEN WITH THEM AND THEY WOULD COME OUT FOR THE LAST FIVE OR SIX YEARS. WE HAVE LIVED HERE NOW FOR THIRTY FIVE YEARS. WE SEE SOME EVIDENCE OF TERMITES, AND WE THOUGHT WE WOULD HAVE HAD THE HOUSE TINTED. THEY SAID NO THIS IS A PROBLEM WE COULD TAKE CARE OF. THEY WOULD COME OUT EVERY YEAR AND INSPECT THE HOUSE, AND WE TOOK CARE OF THE PROBLEM THAT WAY. FINALLY THEY SAID THAT WE HAD THEM IN THE RAFTERS. THEY ARE HONEST. WE RECOMMENDED THEM TO OUR TRAVEL AGENT.

REASONABLY PRICED. INSURED AND BONDED EMPLOYEES. FULL KNOWLEDGE OF CHEMICALS AND POLICIES REGARDING SAFETY MANDATES. TWO FULL YEARS SERVICE WARRANTY.
