I picked up my vacuum cleaner on December 28th, 2015. I was without a vacuum for almost a month.
Description of Work: The power switch of my Kirby Vacuum cleaner was not working. I dropped it off for repair and picked it up on Dec. 4, 2015. I was told that they fixed the power switch and paid them $78.15. When I tried to turn it on at my home, it did not work. So, I took it back, for the second time ,and returned to pick up the vacuum within a week. This time I tested the power switch at their business and it worked. When I tried to use it at my home, it failed to turn on. Finally on the third time I picked it up on Dec. 15, 2015 and turned on the vacuum in their shop. Dust was spewing out of the suction / filter system because the plastic portion that connects to the vacuum was completely cracked. They concealed the crack with electrical tape to match the color of the unit. I brought it to the working woman attention and she said it was always like that. I was upset and after talking to the manager, Tina, she said that she would return my money. She said that it wasn't the power switch that they were trying to repair but it was rather the on and off switch. This was told to me after the third attempt to repair my vacuum. Why didn't they catch this on my second return. I was never told that my vacuum unit was cracked on my 3 return visits. If I had not noticed the crack, they would have let me take it home as is. The vacuum cannot operate with that crack dust collector. Tina offered to replace the crack unit with a used one and give me a free service coupon on my next visit. Because this company has lost my trust, I asked that they return the cost of their service and Tina said she would remove their parts and put back my old part. Now I'm stuck with an vacuum that is not operable. I will contact the BBB and the city's business department to file complaints.

They showed up on time, and did an adequate job shampooing and steam suctioning the carpet. But they did not buff it dry like they said. They left it soaking wet, and said it would be dry in 2-3 hours. Well, after two hours it was still soaked. I had them come back. Tina said they would buff it dry. They didn't, the buffer was broken. So they tried to blow it dry and blew dust everywhere. What a fiasco! The carpet is still wet, and they left 9 hours ago. They did give me a $40 discount for my trouble, and were very nice, but in no way, shape or form did they dry this carpet any differently than any other wet carpet cleaner.
Description of Work: They shampooed, and then steam suctioned our carpet. They advertise that they dry the carpet too. When I called, they said they dry the carpet with a buffer, and within 2-3 hours the carpet is completely dry.
