The Green Plumber

Unfortunately I caught him at a time when he was knee deep (literally) in two other large projects. He did come out after hours to plug the shower arm so I could have water until the Kohler valve was available for pick up.As soon as he got the valve he had two of his employees come out and replace the valve. They were as professional as he is. They do cover thier shoes and they do a complete clean up. The price may seem high but the quality of service in my opinion makes it worth it.

Tim showed up on time for our estimate which was free. He inspeceted the system including the panels on the roof. He took all of the necessary information and measurments and said he would get back to me with quotes for replacing the water heater and storage tank and also just cleaning the old storage tank to be reused per my request. With in a coiuple of days I had professional quotes for all work requested. I made the choice to have the 80 gallon storage tank replaced per the quote. Tim and I agreed on a date to do the work. They were right on time to start the job.The job went very well. Tim and his assistant were very professional. They even covered their shoes with covers when they entered the house. The only problem they had was a defective part inside the new water heater which forced them to return the next day to finish. Tim explained that he would do what ever was necessary to get the part and be back in th morning. He was back as promised and the job was completed. The system works great. I would recommend The Green Plumber and will use them again when I need a plumber.

I thought he was very honest and knowledgable. In the end, it didn't make sense for us to switch to a tankless water heater for cost reasons but had we decided to do so, I would have used the Green Plumber.

We looked for and found a plumber that met and exceeded our expectaions. We first contacted Timothy at The Green Plumber to find out about installation of a graywater recycling system. We found the proposed project information given was straightforward and easy to understand and within our budget, but we decided to wait until our landscaping was redesigned before going ahead with that installation. Good thing we aquainted ourselves with this company, because when our water heater went out, we called the green plumber out to give us some options. We decided to replace the tank style with a tankless water heater with a hot water recirculation pump. The contractor's warranty on all parts they installed was for a full two years parts and labor. The crew was very very tidy, using drop cloths, paper runners and shoe covers to protect our floors. The workers were polite and respectful of our home and pets. They let us know when the water would be shut off and turned back on. The heater works well, there is hot water at the shower without waiting (not like before), and it uses less gas than the old unit. The inspection by the city was completed and all was approved. All in all, this company exceeded our expectations. We are very happy with this contractor and would highly recommend him and his crew to other homeowners.

The Green Plumber (Timothy Collier) was highly responsive to our calls - we had tried to go through other vendors but were frustrated when they did not call back. Timothy was very candid and informative when we spoke on the phone regarding the permitting and installation process. Timothy was quick to turn around the contract and apply for permits. He did not ask for any upfront payments. I checked Timothy's installation price with the manufacturer of the water heater who told me he thought the price was very fair (even before considering the government incentives we received). During the installation of the unit, I had several change requests (the installation of several water meters etc.). Timothy made the changes without trying to renegotiate our agreement. What impressed us the most was when we discovered a leak on a Saturday morning, over one week after the install, Timothy immediately drove to our house to fix the problem - he lives in Long Beach and our home is in the Hollywood Hills. I believe that reflects a true commitment to customer service.
