The floors turned out wonderful. Chris the owner came over and gave me an estimate. This is the second time I have used them. Two gentlemen showed up on time, prepped the areas that needed to be covered and they worked very hard for close to 7 hours. Cleaned up and helped to move furniture back. I would highly recommend this business!
Description of Work: cleaned and conditioned our Travertine and Slate floors.

To Kristopher Hall (owner of Marble Transformers): We are writing to request a refund of $4100 for a portion of the money paid by Go Dog LA to Marble Transformerz for the installation of Spectraquartz flooring. As you know, from the beginning we have had significant problems with the flooring causing your team to have to redo it in entirety multiple times; this caused financial impact to the business, customer disruption, and the delay of our complete remodel. As of late, you and/or your employees (including Francisco Alonso) have come back four different times, where each time our business is severely impacted for two days at a time. Yet, every time the flooring is still not correct and needs to be completely redone; this is not usual and customary. As of late, to fix the problem your workers would again need to come back a fifth time to fix flooring over the course of a 2 day period. We are not comfortable having you attempt to redo the flooring for a number of reasons we have already discussed (inconsistencies, constant misinformation by you and/or Cisco, and constant large-scale mistakes which are negatively impacting our business, and the shear time we have spent trying to make this right with still no resolution). However, the most important reason we are hesitant is that you are listed as "Exempt" status for Workers Compensation on the California Contractor State License Board, meaning that you stated you have zero employees. That means that all the workers you brought in to our business over the last 1.5 months are not insured. This is a huge liability to our business so, for obvious reasons, we need to cease and desist any further activities. Before I chose to go with your company I researched to ensure that you were licensed, bonded and insured. In your letter attached to your estimate (see attached dated 2/27/15) you state that you have Workers Comp insurance through State Fund, yet the CA Contractors Board government site has you in an exempt status. (see attached screenshot taken today 5/15/15 ). To that end, we are asking for payment of $2500 to go toward getting the floors properly fixed by a company who is appropriately insured to protect our business. We need payment no later than 5/19 at 5 pm delivered to our offices at Go Dog LA (address below). After the check or money order clears, we will write a letter releasing you and Marble Transformerz from any further liability. Thank You,Beth LaVigne
Description of Work: 400 sq feet of Epoxy flooring in a doggie daycare wasn't completed entirely (kept making mistakes) but we had to stop working as we found they lied about having Workers Comp Insurance, yet bringing a bunch of workers to job. Huge liability. In their proposal paperwork they write they have it, but according to State Contractors Board they claimed an "exempt" status claiming they have no employees.
