Description of Work: After waiting some days for Stan to meet with us, he came to the house and gave us a verbal estimate for rebuilding our cabinets. He agreed to take the job but said he couldn't start until next week, and we were not bound to use him at that point. We said we would not be looking for anyone else, that we wanted him based on his reviews. When I called to confirm the work for the week he originally said he would start, he said he couldn't start until the following week because his son, who was his assistant, would be on a trip. But he promised that if we waited he wouldn't put anything else in front of our job, and he absolutely would get to us. We agreed to wait. Last Friday I texted him to confirm the work for this week (week of 8/31). He said he would start on Wed. 9/2, and that he would confirm on Monday. Today he called to say his current job was taking a long time. I reminded him he solemnly promised he could start this week. He said he would come on Wed., but wouldn't be able to give full days. I agreed. Less than 20 minutes later he texted that his current job was too big, and he would not be taking our job after all. I wasted 3 weeks of time on him, now I have to start over looking for a provider to rebuild our cabinets.

Description of Work: Stan of Legacy Home Improvement provided me with a comprehensive estimate in a timely manner last week to replace my second story siding. I am waiting for a second estimate from a competiting contractor who, unfortunately, is not as expedient as Stan. I am happy with Stan's estimate; his pricing appears to be competitive and his description of work is thorough. I would be happy to do business with Stan but I need to obtain the second estimate for due diligence purposes.

Description of Work: Stan and Sam did various projects around my restaurant including HVAC vent adjustment, fence repair and moving, bike rack install, new sandwich sign and some plumbing repairs.
