I had a great experience with James. Very professional and the work was done well and on time. I will definitely hire him again for future projects.

I really wanted to like Jim, he made a very good and professional impression originally but once he finished I realized that I'd chosen the wrong person. I hired Jim to install 2 block frame retrofit windows, 1 new construction window (where a door used to be) and a sliding door (where a window and door used to be). Total came to $2250 for the labor and materials (not including the windows/door or the stucco work). Pros: 1) He was easy to deal with and communication was excellent. 2) The "rough" work he did was pretty good, but that's the easy part so it doesn't say much. 3) He showed up on time - I know this seems like an no brainer, but in my experience it's rare and very appreciated. Cons: 1) No formal estimate or contract, he only provided a vague email estimate. I thought this would be fine. 2) He didn't want to deal with a permit and pushed hard for not getting one. 3) Originally when he came to give me the estimate he assured me he would tape off my dining room (where the slider was going) so that the rest of the house didn't get dirty. I taped off our built in bar which was in that area and we cleared the area to make it easy for him. After the first day I came home to a house full of dust. I asked him to tape off the area with plastic sheeting and even supplied the sheeting and tape. He tried to tape it off the next day but when the plastic fell down he gave up and just let the house get dirty. We now need to clean the entire house, floor to ceiling, to get rid of all the dust. Not to mention the fact that there's likely a good amount of lead in all of this dust blowing around in the house. 4) His normal stucco guy got deported so he found another guy last minute and his work was terrible. He tried to upsell me on fully restuccoing the area in concern but Jim recommended I just have him patch what needed patching. I agreed. I assumed patching meant matching the stucco texture, but I was wrong and all the patching is rough compared to my smoother old stucco. Jim and the stucco guy gave me some ideas on how I could fix it. But it shouldn't have needed fixing, part of patching stucco is matching the texture. It's also now starting to crack after 2 days. He also left glass shards in our yard - I have no idea where they came from but they were in the pile of debris from him washing out his equipment. 5) Jim's drywall work is terrible. HIs estimate said I was on the hook for paint but he'd do the drywall. I assumed this meant I could just paint when he was done. Wrong. All of the drywall needs more filling and patching. Plus, in one area some old paint started peeling and he just left it that way for me to deal with. 6) He didn't clean up after himself. His estimate put me on the hook for debris haul-away - which I'm OK with but I didn't think that meant he'd be messy. Virtually no clean up was done inside, there is still dust and debris all over, the sills are dirty, there were paint chips in my carpet, and he left a bunch o

Mr. Litzinger was very professional. He was courteous and did an awesome job installing my 4 doors. His price for the job was very reasonable. Also, he cleaned up everything afterwards and took away the old doors. I highly recommend his services.

jim was friendly and professional. he came up with two options for our exterior door needs and communicated those to us via email. we chose option 2 and he executed the plan perfectly. i would definitely work with jim again. it is also a plus that he can provide many different construction and repair needs!

He contacted me right away and scheduled an estimate the next day. He was on time and ready to work. He got everything done in a nice timely manner. The only thing was that he left the trash outside. I could of easily got him a trash can if he needed one. Overall very satisfied.

Mr. Litzinger gave me a professional and courteous service, installed 2 entry doors and 2 security doors. Great work with attention to detail which I appreciated. "Good work takes time and costs money". Highly recommend his services.

I had an arched exterior doorway and wanted it squared out. He squared it and placed in a new door. It really looks great and adds to the quality of my home. He patched the few areas that were needed and cleaned up. I only have a few small places to paint around the door. I was expecting more little things to patch or fix but he completed it all and left things neat.

The door was hung professionally, but the caulking around the sides were very sloppy and dried a mess. Although James hauled away the old door (for a fee), he left a mess behind.
