They came out the same day, were very professional, told me my options and did an excellent job.

I did not think that he had a lot of knowledge about faucets. While he was working he made disparaging remarks about minorities. He left his carbon soled shoes on when he was in my tub and it took a long time to get the marks out. He charged me by the hour. Maybe if he did not talk so much he could have had the work done sooner.

The plumber came within an hour of when I called, even though it wasn't necessarily an emergency. They snaked the drain line from the close washer and were done in about 2 minutes & cleaned up before the left. Very good experience.

I have a small house that I rent to a young couple, expecting their first child. On a Saturday evening the mother-to-be called me to let me know that both of their toilets were clogged and that they desperately needed a working bathroom. I got in touch with Vic at J&D that evening (I left a message with their service, and he called me back within, what must have been, less than ten minutes) and he showed up at the house first thing in the morning on Sunday. It was apparently a tricky job that will need future attention, but in the meantime J&D saved the day. I don't know exactly what transpired but I do know that my tenants are happy, Vic was helpful and friendly. I was able to pay with my credit card, all in all the situation was completely handled and I never had to leave my home. I could not be more satisfied with such terrific service. This was my first experience with J&D, and while I'd rather not have plumbing problems in the future, I know I will, and when I do, I'm calling Vic at J&D. For those that imagine the price to be a bit high, this was Sunday morning work with wonderful service. The price was just right.

Plumber they sent, I forget his name :(, was knowledgeable and understood how to fix the problem right away; another from an other company was unable to do so (or unwilling to do so).

They arrived on time, but I called as an emergency and needed same day service. Within an hour I got a call back saying that someone would be here in an hour. He arrived, assessed the problem and found a place that he could snake other than the main line. I appreciated that he took the time to look for an larger place to snake. He was also great about cleaning up all the debris and "whatnot", that came out of the drain. He was very professional and courteous.

He told me it would be $100 to come to Compton, but I think he just didn't want to come to Compton. I feel he was being discriminatory toward me and the area. The girl I spoke with the night before didn't say anything about them not servicing Compton.

They were terrific. Arrived on time. Fully explained the situation and the best course of action. Quickly repaired the broken pipe and showed me the old pipe where it had been patched so I knew that what they were telling me was true. There was no mystery because I was able to see the section of pipe that was replaced. Also they referred me to a company for the remediation of the water damage that only charged me $200 to fix the buckling boards in my house (as opposed to $2,000 I had been previously quoted by another company). This is the type of plumber you want; one that's honest and fair.

The job went fine. The service man arrived within 15 minutes after my initial call, and was professional and courteous. He identified several improperly installed parts of the double sink drain system, drew a schematic of the correct installation, and provided a list of parts to retrofit the system to the proper specifications. In retrospect, I could have performed the service myself for less than $96, but the convenience and promptness of the service outweighed the price of the job. Overall, I was pleased with the service.

J & D Plumbing & Heating did excellent work. At first, it was a little hard to get a hold of them. But when I finally got the appointment, they were on time and did a very professional job. I highly recommend them to anyone in my community.

I thought they were actually reasonably priced for this service. He did show up on time and was professional. It took him about 30 minutes to get the results I wanted.

They also had to take out a back wall to complete the job. They were good to work with once they got out here. They'll be my plumbers from now on. They were very nice people all around.

I first set up an appointment for a Friday morning. We didn't work out the exact time, but I let Jim know I had to leave the house by 9 am. He never showed up. I called Saturday to reschedule and reached an answering service who would relay the message on Monday. Jim called back on TUESDAY and left a message. I already had another plumber coming later that Tuesday to give an estimate, so I called Jim back. He sent an estimator over immediately. H.B. Davis took all my information down and said he would call/write with an estimate. I'm still waiting (over one week later). Needless to say, I went with another company. Too much work to get J & D Plumbing to do anything. Too bad... The job was worth well over $5,000.

Vic was prompt, and although he had to wait while I straightened out a mix up in paperwork when he went to pick up the toilet, he still managed to get a lot done and didn't seem to mind if I picked his brains about some other challenging plumbing projects I had been considering for some time but didn't know if it could be done. The Japanese toilet had to have a very unique installation. He removed the old toilet without damaging the floor and replaced it with the new one. He continues to be available to help me order the correct parts and comes up with a lot of practical solutions for my remodeling projects. I love that he is patient and available to discuss different plumbing possibilities and seems to enjoy the challenge. (I've scared off a few other plumbers with my custom jobs!) We're continuing on other projects, and I've been very pleased with the outstanding service and personal attention he always gives to the job at hand.

THIS WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE. VERY NEAT. THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL, AND DID MORE THAN THEY PROMISED.

Steve came out the first time and discovered that the necessary pipe fittings were missing. He told me where I could them, which I did. He then came back out the day after I called back and completed the work. It wasn't an easy faucet to install, so I was pleased he made it work. I also like that I was not charged for the first visit.

THEY CAME OUT AND LOOKED AT THE PIPES AND DETECTED THAT I HAD A STOPPAGE. HE TRIED TO FIX THE PROBLEM, BUT WAS NOT ABLE TO. HE RECOMMENDED SOMEONE WHO COULD. FINALLY I HAD TO HAVE THE CITY COME OUT TO FIX THE PROBLEM, BECAUSE IT WAS ON THEIR END OF THE PIPES. HE DID FIX MY TOILET. I HAD AN EXCELLENCE EXPERIENCE WITH WHAT HE WAS ABLE TO DO.

JIM IS ALWAYS PERSONABLE, PROMPT, PROFESSIONAL, AND THOROUGH. HE IS PROFESSIONAL IN THAT HE IS PROMPT AND THOROUGH. NOT TOO MANY PEOPLE ARE PROMPT AND THAT IS WHAT MAKES HIM PROFESSIONAL.
