GEORGE BRAZIL PLUMBING HEATING

I called them at 8:00 a.m. Sunday morning because the main water line to my house came apart in the middle of the night and had flooded half of my yard. They told me that they would get someone out the next day between 2:00 and 2:30. So, it would take 30 hours for them to send someone in to do an emergency repair. Fortunately for me, I've repaired water lines before and already had all the necessary equipment to get it back together at least long enough for their man to show. He showed up around 2:45 (so, a tiny bit late, but not bad compared to most plumbers I've dealt with). He did an assessment of the work and gave me a quote of $835. This is for a job that I have had done in the past and that usually costs me $150-$200. He said that they had to use copper lines, install an anti-siphon valve, attach it to the walls, etc. Thus trying to justify the fact that his quote was nearly 5 times more than what I've paid in the past. I have quotes to have the entire house re-plumbed that were only $5,900. Between that and the fact that I can do the work myself for less than $100 (I just didn't want to be out in the heat), there's no way I'm going to spend 20% of that amount just to fix one line. So, naturally, I told him that I wasn't interested, that I was disappointed that I waited 30 hours to have someone give me such a ridiculous quote, and sent him on his way.

WHEN THIS COMPANY CAME OUT THEY DID A FULL DIAGNOSTICS ON MY HEATING AND AIR SYSTEM AND FOUND OUT THAT THE PROBLEM I HAD WAS OCCURRING FROM THE FUSE BEING BAD. THEY REPLACED THE FUSE AND CLEANED MY UNIT.
