This company responded very quickly once I posted the job on Angi. They quoted a fair price to trim back a very large bush and to remove 3 juvenile fig trees. They had a crew here within 2 hours and the job was finished about 2 hours later including cleanup. They were polite and professional. I Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Discount tree Arborists to anyone who wants to get the job done

It wouldn't be fair if I didn't rate and write a review. When I used the company's service in December 2023, it was my first time using Angi. I didn't have an account, and I didn't know how to rate. Now, in March 2024, I used Angi again for another project and learned how to review. What I want to say is that the company offers an unbeatable price, their team is very punctual, friendly, works quickly, efficiently, and cleanly. It means there is nothing more to wish for. I am very satisfied with their service.

I appreciated that I received an itemized statement for the work that I wanted done and not a lump sum. I was expecting I would have to break the work into projects for budget reasons. However, the bid was very reasonable and I had everything done at once. The gentlemen that did the actual work were very polite and did an amazing job cleaning up. I had my entire backyard transformed within 24 hours of speaking with Abel.

Did a really great job. Trees and drought tolerant front yard done well! Did cut a wire in the front yard but quick reimbursement. An innocent accident.

They do the job fast The only problem with the job is they do the job too fast and cut corners. The tree removal that I hired them for went as according to plan the problem was the thing that they were supposed to do first they did third which was put down plywood on my roof before they started cutting the branches off the pine tree which resulted in multiple holes in the roof. When asked are you going to put the plywood on the roof there was pushback like I was asking for too much then proceeded to talk s*** about me in Spanish like I did not understand cuz they think because I am a white boy I wont understand. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give it a 7.

Great service, clean up and hauled away the palm fronds

A knowledgeable man, Richard Soto, came out and gave me an estimate. I have a Japanese Black Pine that is trimmed like a bonsai tree that is about 7 or 8 feet high. That was the only trimming job. I also had several heavenly bamboo plants, ranging from 2 to 7 feet high, in the front, side and back yards that were infested with bugs. He showed me the product he was going to order from Amazon. It was $89.99 per bottle, and said it would take 2 bottles. After tax, that is about $200. The price was $300 for trimming the bonsai tree and spraying the yard, $200 for material, $100 for labor. The price was reasonable and Richard was knowledgeable, so I said to go ahead. About a week later on Sept 21, I called the company to see if the product was in yet. The owner said he would send a -crew- right away. Two men came within an hour and chopped at the tree. They did not know how to do it right and did not have good equipment. One of them asked me if I had manual hedge trimmers as he was using an electric one. I do not think mine was sharp enough. Should not they have the proper equipment? The tree looks worse than it has ever looked. I had to tell them to put a tarp down. I called the company and told the person answering that they needed to send someone out to supervise the crew but no one came. After they did the tree, I got a rake and showed them how to rake off the loose pieces from the tree. They used a blower instead. There are pine needles all over the mulch. Then they got out the spray. They only used one bottle of spray, and it was quite small. I do not even know if it was the same thing I was shown during the estimate, as they came out within an hour of my calling. Needless to say, I will not be using them again and cannot in good conscience recommend them. As a resolution, a partial refund of about $100 would be appropriate, as they did not use two bottles of the insecticide. Second thing, they should send someone out who knows how to trim artistically to fix the tree, or refund an additional $50. Thanks to the customer service employee at Angi, I received a refund of $150 from Discount Tree Care, so I feel it is fair. They dis spray for bugs once.
