The techs showed up during the appointment window. They listened to what the symptoms were and diagnosed the possible solutions. My sewage drains were backing up and we called a big name plumbing company to clear out the drains. They told me that we had severe root intrusion and also that our pipes were corroding. They then gave me a quote for replacing the sewage pipes under the house. I decided I wanted more quotes and was very thankful for Angie's List. There I found that DIF was very highly rated and gave them a call to provide me with a quote. Ken from DIF came, went in the crawl space and assessed what needed to be done. He then took a few minutes doing his calculations and gave me a quote that was close to half what the big name company provided. Besides the quote being very good, I thought he was very professional, informative, and pleasant to speak with. He was able to come and upgrade the sewage drains from cast iron to ABS in a day, and did a great job. For reference, our home is a 2 bedroom two bath home with the bathrooms in opposite ends of the house. I will definitely recommend DIF to friends and use them again for any future plumbing jobs.

The ceiling in my garage was dripping water and clearly had a significant leak. I called Ken at DIF Plumbing and he came the next day when I was able to get home from work. He cut a few patches of drywall from the ceiling and found a tiny leak in the copper piping. It was not easy to determine where the leak was, but I thought he found it quickly with minimal damage. He repaired the pipe and cleaned up the drywall mess. He told me what steps to take to dry the water and drywall damage to avoid mold in the future. What I like about this plumber is that he's able to explain what's happening and I feel his charges are quite reasonable.

The drains in our double sink in the kitchen backed up and DIF was called to clear them out. Ken had capped a gas leak a couple of years ago and was excellent with the service at that time, so I called again for this problem. Typically, the P-trap is removed carefully, draining some water directly, then the pipes are "snaked" to loosen packed debris and allow it to flow with water on down to the sewer pipe. In our case, the two sink drains are joined to a "Y" that lead into the wall under the sink. The plan was to remove the P-trap from the sink that did not connect to the disposal, clear the drain from there, replace the trap and test the result. As it turned out, the branch of the "Y" draining this sink was indeed cracked - and removing the nut holding the trap to the "Y" broke the pipe midway up the "Y"s pipe threading. To fully repair this new problem, the "Y" would have to be removed and replaced - which would require opening a hole where the pipe entered the wall. This would be a major problem of time and money for me and DIF. Fortunately, Ken thought of a solution, and after finding just the right parts in his truck, came back in the house and finished the job. He worked out a solution to clamp a connector to the remains of the "Y" drain threading and install a new P-trap that had a flexible piping to the newly clamped connector. It also turned out that the old P-trap we removed did not have the correct configuration to properly connect to the "Y" in the first place, and was apparently screwed on and over-tightened, causing the eventual crack in the "Y". (Not me - previous owners - I always call a professional - like Ken!) Thank you Ken - Call DIF - He is a great problem solver and will point out other potential problems if he sees them - to your advantage. He's a good man.

He worked quickly and with purpose. He knew exactly what he was doing and how to diagnose and repair the leak in the bathroom. He cleared the slow drains that existed in another of the units. He is obviously an experienced and competent professional and I will hire him again when the need arises. I also saved 10% off the job by using the Angie's List Coupon. I was very pleased.

The technician was timely, courteous, and helpful. We called for service due to a gurgling sink in the master bathroom which we were certain was related to the condensate pump for our HVAC unit. He explained several different possible causes of the gurgling, one of which would require an HVAC specialist to come out and check, but he made it clear that it would be a win to clean out the drain regardless. I'm very glad he did, as the gurgling issue subsided greatly, and we won't have a clogged drain issue anytime soon.

Called on a Saturday, He showed up at the exact time he said he would. Did the work and then cleaned up the work area. Not a big deal but was a bad clog and his work was excellent. Highly reccomended

Ken was 20 minutes late, but I didn't mind. I was giving him up to 30 minutes because he did say "around" 10am. When he arrived, he was very attentive to my needs. He said the he would be able to do all of the work requested. Ken and his partner Seb began to work right away on the interior problems right away. They were very courteous and told me they wanted to work on the inside of the house while their shoes were still clean. I thought this was very thoughtful. After removing the wall mounted bidet in the half bath the cleaned up the drywall pieces and dust after they were done. Ken welded new spigots on the exterior of the house. It was done well and looked clean. They worked quickly and professionally. All of the work took them about 2-3 hours. A lot faster than I had anticipated. I used DIF Plumbing & Rooter Svc twice. They were excellent, the main guy was very personable and very helpful in explaining how to do these things in the future and things that I need to worry about. It was an excellent experience.

After scoping out the project, decided to have DIF do both projects (install shut off valves with washing machine and upgrade tub/shower fixtures in main bathroom. Ken is a very good communicator, and seems knowledgeable about what he is doing.

I discovered some water accumulating under my hot water heater in the garage. After further inspection I could see that the hot water heater was not only leaking but soaked the wooden structure that it was sitting atop. Ken from DIF came out as scheduled at 4:00PM on Friday to see what needed to be done. The water heater I had was 25 plus years old and needed to be replaced. Ken also saw that it was not strapped for earthquake safety. We discussed all that needed to be done and it came down to: -- Remove and replace existing 40 gallon water heater -- Install new copper lines -- Install new gas shutoff -- Replace plywood holding up the water heater -- Install earthquake strapping. Ken said he could do it the next day so I jumped at the offer and he and a helper did the work on Saturday at 10:00Am and were done with the job by about noon. DIF did a first class job of replacing our hot water heater and making sure it was safe for many years to come. I would definitely recommend them and plan on using them in the future.

Everything has been excellent. They are able to catch problems before they become problems. He is always on time, friendly, and thorough. I have used them at my house and at my mothers house. We highly recommend them!

You need to watch this guy, he will look to run up prices and push work you don?t need. For example, I hired him to do several things totaling over 3,000. He failed to unclog a shower (which he charged me for) then wanted to Drill a clean out on my roof for $500. I called another plumber who got the shower working in 10min. DIF also charged me over $500 to send a camera and snake down the main sewer pipe and after the work he told me I need to hydro jet the main for another $500. I found a deal on Angies List for the hydro jetting and camera inspection for $299. He left the two used toilets in my back yard for several days. I had to call him 3 times to remove them and said he will pick them up when he gets around to it. I am very easily to work for and very understanding but this guy has some major attitude.

They were prompt, found the problem and fixed it quickly. The two plumbers that came out were professional, quick and cleaned up.

I found DIF on Angie's list and was impressed by their reviews. Since they were located close to my home, I thought that was a plus. My pilot light on my water heater had gone out and I was unable to relight it on Saturday night. Contacted Ken on Monday morning. He came out that afternoon and exchanged a part to get it working, but since my heater was very old, I wanted it replaced. He came back on Friday, replaced the heater, replaced the connecting pipes with copper, and put a hand valve on the gas and adjusted the position on the valves to make them more easily accessible. I found him very thorough in his work, easy going with no hard sells on services, fairly priced, and made no qualms about the Angie's list discount. He was knowledgable and friendly and did the work in just a few hours. I was very pleased and would definitely use DIF's services again. Recommended. I used them again for a broken pipe in 2014 thanks to their good work!

Had to access the clog through a standpipe for the washer in the garage because there was no accessible clean out. It was a very stubborn clog that required the use of a water pressure jetter. Not the cheapest, but well worth the money. Very professional and great job on a tough task.

Did a good job and was able to clear the line..

The outside clean out overflowed, so called DIF to have the main sewer line cleaned out. Drain clean out was not completely successful because of a piece of broken pipe, so a camera inspection was done to locate the break (there turned out to be several). All of the locations are marked, and we will have DIF come back later to replace the sewer main because there are so many breaks.

Plumbers were a little late but once they arrived they were quick and professional. Great job.

I was having items taken care of that were requested in an escrow. I was given a worse case scenario quote and they came in 610.00 less. He didn't have to reduce it as I wouldn't have known he didn't have to do extra labor. The work that was done was professional and clean. I am going to us them at my new home.
