Everything went great. However, after the install, my washer started taking 50% longer than prior to the tankless install. Kemal checked it next day and found that some of the debris due to change from Galvanized to copper pipes had gone to washer connection and was stopping the flow of water to washer. He cleaned the connection and everything have been working well since then.

DIF Plumbing is great and highly recommended. We found a water spot on the downstairs ceiling and realized there is a toilet right above that spot, so began looking for a plumber. Since we knew we needed this leak fixed, we decided to go ahead and take care of some other plumbing issues we had deferred. Before beginning this work, we got three estimates from three Angie's List plumbers in our area, including DIF Plumbing. One quote was nearly three times the DIF Plumbing quote (and the company that gave the high quote charged $25 for the estimate, which we didn't know was going to happen until after the estimate was given and this company was not going to install a copper pipe or a copper shut-off valve, but was going to install PVC pipe) and the other quote was close to the DIF Plumbing quote. (BTW, DIF Plumbing gives free estimates.) We went with DIF Plumbing because of Ken Kazan, the owner. He was prompt, he was efficient, he knew what he was talking about and we appreciated his overall professionalism and communication. When it came time to do the job, Ken arrived promptly with his assistant and immediately went to work. He and his assistant talked to us about what they were doing every step of the way, showed us the problem with the leaking toilet, were quiet efficient and easy to have in our home for half the day while they did a total of five plumbing repairs. There was a slight issue with the shower handle flange not fitting perfectly once the valve was replaced, so Ken patiently adjusted the flange until we were completely satisfied. When it came time to pay the bill, Ken charged us less than the original estimate for the shower valve and he even gave us a new customer Angie's List discount. Who comes in and charges you LESS than the estimate? Later that day, when there was a slight problem with how the shower handle felt when it turned off and on (it seemed too tight), Ken came right back out and, again, adjusted things to our complete satisfaction. We have already recommended DIF Plumbing and Ken Kazan to our neighbors and one of them has used him to install a plumbing line in their kitchen island and also praised the work of DIF Plumbing and Ken Kazan. DIF Plumbing and Ken Kazan are our new plumbers. They are highly recommended for any plumbing problem.

when they first saw the space for the unit they were kind of negative about being able to do it. I had already done the measurements so I knew the product would fit. My tenant thank goodness was able to convince them to at least try and of course it all worked out well.

I learned of DIF on Angies List several years ago. Ken, the owner, was very responsive in replacing a water heater for me. I was impressed with his professionalism and the way he treated and trained his helpers. I later had him replace a complete shower system in my upstairs bathroom. He analyzed the situation and came up with a solution that did not require demolishing my shower. He has become "my family plumber". Subsequent visits fixed other problem areas as needed. Most recently I was hearing a new noise in my downstairs shower. It was the sound of running water through the pipes from my upstairs shower and washing machine located in the garage during the drain cycle. Thinking I had a leak in my pipes (the house is 35 years old), I asked Ken to come look at it. He quickly figured out that it was nothing more than a dry pea trap in the shower due to it not being turned on in months. We had been cleaning the pan with a wet sponge instead of turning on the shower. Running water through the shower for a few minutes solved the "problem". Because he made a scheduled service call, diagnosed and fixed what turned out to be a non-existent problem (even though it was very fast and easy), he was absolutely entitled to payment for a service call. He said that since he was there anyway, he would power snake out the drains as part of that call. He's always been on time, professional and very pleasant to work with. I've recommended him to my friends and neighbors and they feel the same way I do. I highly recommend him to anyone needing small, medium or large plumbing repairs and projects.

Last week I discovered evidence of an interior wall leak behind my washer in our laudry room. I contacted Ken (DIF Plumbing) because he had provided services on multiple occasions in the past. We always found him to be timely, knowledgeable, efficient and reasonably priced. As promised Ken and his helper arrived on saturday at the appointed time and in short order discovered that the leak was caused by the washing mahcine's drain hose was not far enough down in the drain pipe to facilitate the draining of the washer as it cycled through the wash load!. That was actually good news because that meant we did not have a broken pipe within the walls. With that said, Ken cut out the soaked dry wall and suggested drying methods and a more permanent recessed draining cabinet as a future project. For now Ken installed an extension to the drain pipe so the drain hose can push further down into the drain pipe with enough room to take the gush of water when the washer drains. He secured the newly installed extension to the drain hose so any movement of the washer would not dislodge the drain hose from the pipe as well as the extension .

Ken was the ultimate professional. He came when he said he would the day after we called him. He fixed everything, charged a fair price and was a all around good guy. We'll be hiring him again in the near future to help us with a bathroom addition.

Ken is the ultimate professional. This is the 2nd time we have had Ken do this service. While he was here, I asked him to inspect out pipes to see if a copper repipe was necessary in our 45 year old home. He told us that everything was fine, and no changes were necessary. I will show my ignorance. Ken said that the maojority of our pipes are copper and they are fine. Ken is professional and honest.

They installed a kitchen faucet we had purchased and fixed some leaking sprinkler valves. They were professional, and arrived on time. I would use them again.

As long as Ken at DFI Plumbing is around, I will never call another plumbing professional for any work needed to my Long Beach home built in 1941. It started with Home Depot delivering a newly purchased gas clothes dryer and informing me that they couldn't install it because my home's gas valve needed replacement. I found DFI on Angie's List, and called based on amazing reviews. Ken answered my call immediately and arrived the same day to give me a quote. While he was here, I also asked for a quote on replacing/repairing a few odds and ends that I had been putting off. Next thing you know, Ken tells me he can arrive the next day, Saturday morning of Labor Day weekend, to replace the gas valve and install the new dryer. I did not ask, nor would have ever expected him to return so quickly and on a holiday weekend, but he said he didn't want me to have to go to the laundromat as I had done since my old dryer bit the dust a week earlier. We scheduled the rest of the work to be done a few days later. Ken explained what needed to be done without talking down to me or over my head (I didn't even know what a gas valve looked like prior to our interaction), gave me a solid quote for the work, was extremely professional, and I felt very comfortable hiring his expertise almost immediately. It was likely one of the smaller jobs for him, but he certainly didn't treat it - or me - as such. He and his coworker even showed up ten minutes early. Hello!!! I do not live in a really nice house, but they treated it as though I did, keeping everything very clean. Most importantly, I don't worry about the gas feed to the dryer, my leaky faucets are fixed or replaced, and I'm moved enough from this very positive experience to write a review.

Ken and his assistant arrived a few minutes before their committed time. The location of the leak had been identified and the ceiling slats had been removed giving more exposure to the work area. They had to cut out an additional portion of the ceiling to gain access, but they were careful about the removal. They got right to work, assessed the required effort and discussed several options and explained the ramifications of each. The key issue for me was minimizing the damage to the ceiling and the cabinetry. They very very cognizant of this and identified two options that would achieve the objective. At one point they had to make a trip to pick up a section of pipe, but they promptly returned and completed the work. They were very conscientious and provided a fair and accurate invoice. They kept the work area clean and were efficient in their work. All in all it was a very positive experience and I would hire them again.

~ Email request was for previous week7/23/14, due to scheduling issues agreed to schedule either 7/28 or 7/29/14. During weekend, water heater stopped heating water. Follow up phone call message with email response, agreed upon 7/29 service call date. ~ Company called ahead on service day and was informed of new water heater issue. Failure to reset heater control, company called manufacturer's phone # and got information that waiving of parts price this one time, if homeowner agreed to annual or no more than bi-annual sediment flushing due to mineral build-up may affect heater control sensor. ~ New control was installed, sediment flush was completed, control reset, company supervised resumption of water service throughout house plumbing along with owner. ~ Manufacturer's one-tme price waiving of replacement parts was done by company to owner along with suggested next sediment flushing scheduling and the most seasonal economical heater control setting also discussed. Company personnel was clean, polite, thorough professionals in completing required work. Also, as previous customer connection was a help for the owner.

We would highly recommend DIF Plumbing for their expertise, professionalism and terrific sense of humor that made an untenable situation bearable. Plan on utilizing their services again in the future when plumbing expertise will be needed.

Ken gave us good advice on one of our bathrooms that needs repair, stating that the subfloor needed to be replaced. I would definitely use this company again and refer to my friends.

A big leak inside the wall of my master bath shower. This caused a big flood and mold. Bathroom walls and shower had to be ripped out. This gave the plumber easy access to the pipe. DIF was on time and fixed the leak. It was an easy fix. They were reasonably priced.

The whole experience was great. This was the fourth time I have used this company and I have always been satisfied. They came right on time and got to work replacing the pipes under my sink and even spent time scrapping a large area of the metal floor under the pipes that had a great deal of rust. That was not part of the job but they did if for my sister and myself anyway. Then he checked our toilet that we were having trouble with and replaced the toilet bowl flapper. The toilet works great now. They always clean up after themselves and they gave us a very good senior discount. They are always courteous, friendly, and professional. Both my sister and I are extremely happy with them and have been so every time they have come out. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Ken is our go-to guy for any of our plumbing needs. This time he had to do more work than usual for us, as the old pipes under the house were so full of 50+ years of "stuff" they were causing continuous slow draining. He has always been quick to respond, and I feel does good work at a very fair price.

The work was done at my condominium. I wanted him to provide the angle stops and supply lines, because I did not want to deal with figuring out 3/8" vs 1/2" size to purchase myself. Good thing because one of the angle stops needed to be a dual version as it also went to the dishwasher. After making sure he had all of the right supplies (actually he had to go to the plumber shop to get the correct dual angle stop. It was close and did not take much time) Next we needed to shut off the water. While my condo has shut off valves for each stack; the chart I had was wrong, so it took two tries for us to get the right shut off valve down in the garage. No worries Ken was very patient. After that the work was completed and the water turned back on. The bathroom tub spout was almost frozen on. Which is why I could not crank it off. He told me that a galvanized extender had been used to attach to the cooper water pipe and these two metals can have a chemical reaction, which is why it was so hard to unscrew. He recommended using a brass extender to avoid future problems. Yes, I agreed. While replacing the bathroom tub spout he noticed that the overflow drain in the tub was not seated right or caulked, so he just fixed it and told me later. Nice touch (no charge), showing he is very thorough. I had him change out the toilet angle stop and supply line since I was going to buy a new toilet in a few weeks, and did not want to have to turn the water off again. He honored the 10% Angie's list discount coupon. ------------ Yes, I used him to install the new toilet on March 4, 2014.

The quote for the work was free and he did a great job. The work was completed within a day. Would definitely use him again.

I called DIF in a bit of a panic as my Mom is 96 years old and not having functioning toilets is a big problem. They were here within 2 hours and did a thorough job of checking all the pipes in both bathrooms. I was amazed at the quick response and how competent they were. They also gave me a 10% senior discount without my asking. I highly recommend them.

This was the second visit by DIF in a couple of weeks. I was equally impressed by both visits. The first time they were here the previous week they installed a new water heater. I was very impressed with the professionalism and knowledge they seemed to have. They described exactly what was needed, what they would do and they did it. They started working upon arrival and got the job done quickly and efficiently. On the second visit the trap to be replaced was for a shower. My home was built in 1955 and it had never been replaced. The plumber spent about and hour under the house replacing the clogged problem. I've done some plumbing in the past and would not have wanted to take on this job. I was very impressed with the work of this company and would recommend them anytime.

Ken and his co-worker came during the window he specified he would arrive. He worked skillfully to resolve the clogged shower and bathtub. He carefully snaked the shower and then the bathtub in both bathrooms which didn't clear the clog. He then went on the roof and unclogged them both from the roof vent. I was thrilled. Previously I had called another plumber to snake the shower and bathrub and when it didn't clear completely, I was told I needed major costly plumbing work. I was so glad I called Ken who was skilled and able to clear the clog using the roof vent. Ken then cleaned out the kitchen sink drain which was full of food and slug and rocks of oil. He found a pipe cracked and replaced it. He also unstuck the garage disposal. He worked skillfully and carefully and effectively to resolve the plumbing problems. He was helpful in explaining the plumbing in the house. His rates were reasonable. He was nice person with whom to do business. I am a very happy customer and so relieved to have my plumbing problems fixed.
