Ken did a wonderful job. My toilet was leaking water all over the floor. He made an effort to come to my house a couple of hours after I called. He did a great job with everything I asked him to do. His price was very fair. I would definitely hire him again.

Very well. Ken said he'd be here between 11 and 1 and showed up at 11:30. Using his power snake he cleared the drain. The snake went about 11 feet before he hit the clog. Quick, efficient, and clean. Used angie's discount coupon of 10% off.

Called DIF after getting a quote from another company. Ken was able to come over within 30 minutes. The other company tried several methods to unclog drain but to no avail and quoted me close to $3k for a project. Ken looked at the issue, including going under the house and immediately came up with a sensible solution. It was not going to be a simple snake of a drain. Not only was I confident about his experience but his price was more than fair...he fixed my toilet gratis (which the other company wanted to charge me $385 for a "compete toilet overhaul") showed me the problem areas via camera with my main sewer line and then went the extra mile and put a few screws in to the bottom of my driveway gate to secure it. Rubin arrived within two hours of my phone call. He diagnosed the problem within fifteen minutes. Caulking has come loose in front bathroom, allowing water to get between the tub and backsplash. He said to pick out the remaining old caulk, and re-caulk with waterproof caulk or silicone. The floor will dry out. No additional work is required at this time. A+ rating. Overall excellent job. Highly satisfied. Only paid for the initial service call.

I first found DIF plumbing in 2011 through Angies's List. I called him to snake out a drain and a plumbing relationship was born! Since that minor repair 5 years ago, I have called on Ken many times for projects both samll and large. He and his assitant Stelly just completed a full upgrade of all pipes - including drainage - running to and from my house, water heater and laundry area in the garage. I am planning a major patio renovation which will involve re-paving over most of these pipes and I wanted to make sure they were in the best possible condition. Ken thought through all of the issues before beginning work and carefully explained the process. Once he got going, the work was finished in a timely manner and he even went above and beyond, fixing some unforeseen problems without charging me extra. I have utter confidence that the work will last decades! Besides being reliable, knowlegable and responsive, Ken is just a great guy! And, combined with his assistant, DIF Plumbing makes for a great experience.

Ken and Stanley were quick and professional. They also saved me $6000! which was the estimate make by another provider who insisted that we needed to re-pipe the house. DIF's entire bill was less by over half of what the other organization charged me for the pressure test alone. I couldn't be happier with them. They explained what they were doing at each step of the process. They explained that they too could re-pipe the house, though for much less that the other organization had quoted, but that there was absolutely no reason to do so unless we simply liked spending money. I've had many happy experiences when using Angie's List, but this has to be the very best.

Ken was prompt and provided fast and HONEST service. I had another highly rated angie's list provider tell me that I had to replace the entire trap at a significantly higher price which just didnt sound right. I am glad I got a second opinion as Ken was honest and took the time to explain how the bathtub drain worked. I will be calling him again the next time I have a plumbing issue. For others looking for plumbing services from top rated Angie's list providers, get multiple quotes as they may try to deceive you or are just incompetent either way its not good for you or your wallet.

I own an apartment building that is about 25 years old and every now and then a shower valve will need to be replaced. This has happened several times over the last few years as can be expected with plumbing valves at the end of their service lifetime. So I was not surprised when another valve locked up so that the tenants could not turn on the water to their tub/shower unit. I was notified on a Monday that the shower wasn't working so I called my usual plumbing company to come out and replace the valve. They have done a few of these and it usually costs about $225, which is what it cost a couple of months before when they came out and replaced the valve cartridge, not the whole valve unit. When i called them they were busy and could not come out until the following week. I did not want my tenants to be without their shower for that long so I started calling other local plumbing companies to see if they could come out to fix it. I called about 5 companies before DIF Plumbing and they could not come out that day so I kept looking. I called DIF and they agreed to come out that afternoon. They showed up on time. There were two men, I think one was there to learn and the other gentleman lead the repair. It doesn't really require two men but I figured two heads are better than one. When I told them the water to the building had to be turned off at the city valve by the street curb they checked the building out and showed me that there was another valve at the building that could be used instead of taking a chance with messing up the city valve. All these years I did not know that, so I thought that was a good thing to know. They shut of the water, drained the system and replaced the entire shower valve and cartridge for $125, about half of what it cost me to have my regular plumber replace just the cartridge. When they finished replacing the valve they turned the water back on and checked out my water heater. When they saw that I had a recirculating pump on the hot water boiler they told me I should unplug that when the water service is turned off in the future because it can damage the pump to run it with no water in the system. No other plumber had ever mentioned that in the many times that I have had to turn the water off. So in short, they provided fast service when others could not. They showed up on time with more than enough man power. They educated me on my plumbing systems, and they performed more work at half the cost of my regular plumber. I think I have a new go-to plumbing company.

They arrived on time, were extremely friendly, and were fast! I'm keeping them on my "To Call" list as my plumber for issues with rentals.

I have used Ken's services in the past to do some re-piping, replace a hot water heater, replace an outdoor faucet and fix a toilet. Ken has always provided top notch quality at reasonable pricing. We had a kitchen faucet that was leaking and was very old and in need of replacing. I had replaced it the last time probably 15 year ago or so. When I looked at it this time, it looked to me that it was time to replace the valves and piping to the faucet. I was afraid if I touched them, they would break. I purchased a Kohler faucet and messaged Ken via Angie's List to replace it for me. He came the next day right in the window of time promised and suggested that I replace the valves and piping just as I thought. It turned out the leak under the sink was being caused by the faucet so replacing it would fix that problem too. All the work under the sink was nicely done and we now have a great working faucet again.

The plumber arrived on time but reeked of cigarette smoke. We discussed the problem I was having and he provided me with (2) possible options to fix the problem. He felt pretty confident that his water jet system would clear the blockage. When that did not work, he used his snake in an attempt to clear the blockage. He finally managed to clear the line and left me with a filthy bathroom and a $470 bill. Less than a week later, the line was blocked again. I have since used a different plumber at a cost of $130 and the have not had any issues.

A week or so ago, I called DIF Plumbing after I noticed our sewer line backing up a bit. In addition to the sewer line clean out, we all thought it was prudent to put a camera in the pipe to check on its condition. We discovered that an 8 to 10 foot section of the original pipe was severely damaged. Even with the clean out, it was just a matter of time until the line would become clogged again. The solution was to replace that section of pipe with newer, better pipe. They were very accommodating to my limited time and we were able to quickly schedule a day to fix the pipe. Today they came out to do the work. It took a bit longer than we expected but that was due to having to work around some unforeseen underground electrical work. They replaced the pipe and guaranteed it for ten years. All in all, I am very pleased with the transaction. They are very nice and easy going. I will call them for all my plumbing needs.

First of all, i should have asked about pricing when I set up the appointment, so my beef about the cost is my own fault. I would have shopped for another plumber if i had learned that it would cost $225. Stanley was here for about an hour. We haven't needed a plumber for a while, so maybe it is normal to pay this much, but it seemed high. Stanley was very knowledgeable and helpful. I was impressed that he called before his appointed time to tell me his previous job entailed complications that would delay his arrival. It is so nice when people are considerate! He was also able to correct a drip from the bathtub spigot when he adjusted the fawcet handles and replaced the washers. Our fixtures are pretty old, so it was good that we didn't have to spend even more to replace them just yet. I liked and trusted him, and only said I wouldn't use their services again because of the expense.

I had a gas leak caused no doubt by the roots from very large pine trees in my backyard. Ken and his crew came out and gave me an estimate to run a new gas line from my house to the garage where the dryer is located. His estimate was detailed and reasonable (lower than the other estimates I received). Ken showed up promptly on the day we scheduled the work to be done. As it turned out, the job was more difficult than he expected given some underground piping issues in my backyard (things he could not have anticipated until he began digging the trench for the new gas line). Ken still did the job under estimate and did it in a timely fashion. I liked that he did not try and "sell" me additional services I did not need but was very thorough in his work. They cleaned up when they finished. Great experience.

The provider was very good. This provider explained to me what was wrong. A previous provider had told me that to solve this issue, it would be a 3-day job that would cost $2-3,000. DIF plumbers let me know that there were problems that needed to be fixed, but that they weren't as urgent as the first plumber told me. They seemed genuinely concerned with doing a good job at the right price. I would definitely use them again. Even though, it was a service that I was happy to pay for since I value their honesty.

The termite inspector was going under the house and discovered the leak. I called DIF, left a message and Ken called me back in a few minutes. He was out at my house in about an hour, just as he said. He looked at the problem, determined that he could fix it that day, and did so. It took about an hour total. He even took pictures while he was under the house to show me the water damage, and texted them to me. This is the third time he has done work for us. He has always been responsive, on time and done great work. Highly recommend him.

technician was very good about explaining the problem and what he proposed to do. Was very thorough and put down paper on the floors to minimize the mess.

OMG - the washing machine and kitchen sink were backing up bad. Doing laundry in this household of 5 was out of the question. I called DIF Plumbing around 8:00pm on Thursday night. My call was returned approximately 30 minutes later and by 10:00am on Friday, 2/13/15, my drain had been cleaned and laundry could be resumed! The guys from DIF were professional, polite and friendly. I highly recommend them and will use them for all future plumbing needs. Don't waste your time calling any other plumber. Call DIF first and you'll be back in (laundry) business in no time!

I called DIF on 23 January to have him come out to look at the gas line to our cook stove to see if it had an emergency shut off valve (attached to the gas line) because we were in the process of having a new gas stove delivered and connected. The delivery company said if the emergency shut off valve was not in place they would not connect the cook stove due to current safety standards in regards to emergency shut off valves. The stove we had came with the house twenty years ago and we didn't know if the gas line had the emergency shut off (or was if it done correctly). Ken was heading of town on a family trip but made arrangements for his associate (Stelios) to come out for the inspection. Stelios came out on Monday, 26 January and confirmed there was an emergency shut off on the gas line and therefore met standards for the new stove's connection by the delivery company. While Stelios was there I asked him to check the gas dryer as well since my 73 year old house is full of surprises when we attempt to have work done! Upon Stelios's inspection of the dryer's gas supply line he found that the emergency shut valve was there but operationally unsafe and difficult to reach. The emergency shut off valve was recessed into the wall and it required a large wrench in order to turn off the gas during an emergency. It should be able to turn off by hand. Given the unexpected discovery we agreed to have a new emergency shut off value that complies with hand operation installed on 2 February. I am happy to report that work on done as planned and cost $195.00 (less than the over $250 we feared). Ken ( the owner) and Stelios engineered a process to avoid cutting into an adjoining wall?. As a repeat customer of DIF I am always pleased with all aspects of their work as well as appreciate their time in explaining issues to me.
