Excellent! The owner, Ken, was able to stop by within 2 hours of receiving my call. He quickly diagnosed the issue. I really appreciated that he looked for ways to do the repair without opening the wall. He was very effective when communicating what he found and why he was making certain recommendations. I also appriciated that he was very careful moving a stacked washer & dayer on hardwood floors in a very confined space. Turned out, it was unavoidable. The wall had to be opened. But the pipe repair went very quickly. He offered suggestions for drying out the area, a drywall repair referral, a recommendation that we proactively change a hose that wasn't wearing well... He also answered any questions that I had. Ken and Emanuel helped us with three other minor plumbing repairs that day as well.

On a Sunday morning, I heard a dripping sound coming from the water heater closet in the kitchen. I opened the closet door and saw water leaking from the bottom of the water heater and into the drip pan. Unfortunately, the water valve for the pipe going to the water heater was frozen; so I had to turn off the main water to the entire house. I contacted Ken, the plumber, about the problem. He would not have been able to bring me a new water heater until the next day since the plumbing supply store was closed on Sundays; however, he did say that he could install one if I picked one up from a local hardware store. So I booked on over to Home Depot, picked up a water heater and Ken was over at my house within an hour. In less than 2 hours, my old water heater was replaced with the new one. I am back to having hot water! Ken was very responsive and professional. I highly recommend him and will definitely use his services again.

The whole experience was very positive. I would give them an A+ rating if that were possible. They actually came earlier than was expected but called first to make sure it was okay. I was glad because I hate waiting for repair people. They were very friendly, informative, and professional. They checked out my kitchen faucet first and told me the problem causing the leak was the water filter I had on the faucet. They suggested a water filter pitcher instead. We had one available and had them take off the water filter and put on an aerator instead. The leaking stop immediately. We asked if a new kind of faucet would enable us to use the on faucet water filter and they said no. They could have sold us a new faucet but instead were honest about the fact that they did not think any other kind of faucet would work any better. We really appreciated the honesty. Then they put a new valve on the pipes in the backyard that we use to water the plants. We asked if he could redo the pipes so we would not need to use a valve at all. He said that he could not do anything different that would not be more complicated or any better. He could have made money but chose to be honest with us. Lastly we had him check the hot water heater. We thought we might be able to just have it flushed out even though it was about 18 years old. He checked it and saw corrosion on it and said it would not be safe to keep it. He suggested a new one which is what I really wanted done. When putting in the new hot water heater, he noticed smoke coming from around the exhaust pipe and instead of just ignoring it, which is what many plumbers would do, he got his ladder out and checked out our exhaust pipe. He found that someone had stuffed insulation down the pipe which could have been deadly to us as carbon monoxide builds up when that happens and if enough builds up it could come into the house and be deadly. We do not know who did that and how long it had been there but we were very lucky that he found it for us. We were very grateful for this and feel he went beyong his duty to check this out. He also told us to have two vents placed into the top and bottom of the water heater closet door which incases the water heater. It is supposed to be that way by code but we did not know that. So we will be having this done thanks to them. They cleaned up everything before they left and I received a 10% discount through Angie's list thanks to the fact that he honors these coupons. I was more than satisfied with this plumber and will be recommending him to my friends.

We discovered a water leak in the back bathroom. After reading reviews on Angie's list I called Ken of DIF Plumbing, got a call back within the hour, set the appointment for the next day. Ken showed up 15 minutes early and called me. Upon evaluation Ken quickly determined that the cause of the leak was not the plumbing in the walls, but a water heater leak from the water heater located outside the back wall of the house. Ken also suggested that we consider changing the valves and the supply, as well as move the gas feed - which had been poorly, improperly and even dangerously installed previously. Ken explained his estimate, which was reasonable, told me to go back to work and that he would call when he was done. Three hours later I got the call, went home and everything was finished and they were loading the old water heater on the truck. What a pleasure. Exactly as I had read in the previous reviews and the reason why I called him. This level of service and professionalism is rare in today's world. What a find!!

Would definitely call them again if I ever have a plumbing problem.

Ken returned my call within an hour of me leaving him a message, and was able to make an appointment around my schedule. He arrived promptly and was pleasant and professional in every way. Ken was unable to snake the bathroom sink due to some odd angles in my piping, so he took it apart to get the snake through without adding to his fees and without trying to talk me into getting new pipes put in, which is what my last plumber did when he couldn't get the snake through. He even drew pictures for me to explain what was going on, mostly to assure me since, like I said, he wasn't trying to talk me into further service. Told me that if I need it snaked every six months or so, that would be within normal limits, and that only if it's much more than that should I consider more work on the pipes. great guy, clearly lots of integrity.

Ken was prompt for the estimate appointment and on the day of service. He completed the job exactly as we instructed him. He did not try to take any shortcuts that some plumbers try to get away with these days. I would call him "old school." He and his plumbing assistant were courteous and tidy. The job was completed in one day. His price was much more reasonable then the other two estimates we received for the job, and he's a nice guy. We have been through a lot of plumbers. He's the first that we would actually hire again.

My old water heater started having problems and I decided to do my analysis of products and contractors before it went completely out. I contacted several companies off of Angies List. Two of the three contractors were shortlisted and I decided to go with DIF as Ken, the owner, was very responsive and helpful. By the time I called him the next day, a Friday, to set up an appointment for the following week, my unit completely stopped working. I told him that I didn't have any hot water and he agreed to come out on Saturday morning for the price quoted me on the phone. Ken, and his helper Manuel, were right on time, had everything they needed to complete the job and worked very cleanly and efficiently. He explained how the unit worked and tips on saving money in it's operation. I was particularily pleased with his professionalism both in the work he performed and the way he worked with his helper. I will certainly contact Ken first for any future plumbing needs.

Excellent, high quality, reasonably priced work. I had previously had them install a water softener and my experience was just as good.

Contacted company through email. Response was made quickly and informed me that original time needed to be pushed back. Second time period was met by the company and the sediment flush was agreed upon by both of us. Ken was very thorough and explained that the sediment flush would be a bit more involved due to excess sediment build-up. Ken's explanation of doing a flush every year was greatly appreciated. He even spent extra time to manually clean out sediment by hand. He also pointed out a possible pipe leak connected with the water heater and advised me to watch for a future leak. He checked overall water flow and cleaned up before figuring the final bill.

Ken came on time to quote the job & the following day he met with the tile installer. He explained exactly what needed to be done, then we scheduled the job. Ken was on time & very professional throughout the whole job. Everything was cleaned up at the end of the day. He was able to work around problems like an electrical box in the way of the shower control unit. He was always pleasant & explained what he was doing when asked. He always returned phone calls promptly & was available on short notice. He even worked on some things not related to the job without charging extra. It's nice to know that there is a plumber that I can rely on, who is honest, professional & always available. I will definitely use him again. In fact, I already did. Since the toilet was pulled for the bathroom remodel, I decided to have Ken do a camera inspection on my sewer line, in which he found some tree roots at a pipe joint. He marked the spot on the sidewalk in case there is a blockage problem in the future. He also showed me the exact routing of the pipes from the bathroom to the street by running the camera through the pipes, stopping at increments & using his detector to locate the camera from above. Pretty neat!

Ken was excellent. He came in to give me an estimate for the needed work. He was very professional and explained everything in terms that I could understand. The pricing was fair and I will definitely use him again.

This was the second time working with Ken. Managing the project ourselves without a GC, we understand how difficult it can be on any sub. However, Ken was willing to work with us and he was extremely patient and helpful with making suggestions about the bathroom upgrade. He thoroughly examined pre-existing conditions and made recommendation for the longevity of the bathroom. He goes the extra step to make sure his work is secure, steady and reliable. In this case, when installing the toilet, he noticed that the valve was rusty and suggested a replacement. When installing the shower fixtures, he made sure to address the gap that was a result of the tile wall misalignment. Overall, Ken is really easy to work with and completely dependable for the small and big projects for any home.

Received short notice that he could not perform job as scheduled due to illness. But did appear two days later and completed the job as promised. We were satisfied with the work done by two plumbers which involved changing softwater 1/2" line to a regular water line of 3/4' 'L' copper. The only misunderstanding was about the 10% discount coupon that was advertised on Angie's List Website. We thought it was going to be for the total amount but it was only for a partial amount.

This company arrived on time; they were honest with their estimate, honored the Angie's list coupon. I felt comfortable with them as a single woman because I didin't feel I was being taken advantage of. This has happened to me in the past. He took care of little repairs that I needed as they cropped up. My 87 year old mother has had some difficulty finding a good plumber, and I would feel comfortable referring her. I asked Ken if he would do some work for me in a different county and he said, "Of course, we never say 'no'." I think that is a great attitude to have.

My outdoor gas water heater had far exceeded its service life and was leaking. Ken of DIF Plumbing came in with the lowest estimate and gave a one hour window for when he would arrive the next day. He and his helper came on time with the heater, all necessary tools and supplies required. There were a number of code shortcomings in the old installation. All were identified and addressed. He was conscientious about cleaning out the space prior to installing the new heater (it was really pretty nasty), as well as general clean-up after completing the job. Entire job was completed in 1 ? hours. Ken is very personable and obviously knows what he is doing; giving advice on other plumbing questions I posed. I would not hesitate to employ DIF Plumbing in the future.
