DIF Plumbing & Rooter Service

DIF plumbing is the most professional plumbing contractor I have met. His prices are fair and the quality of his work is excellent Ken was on time, he listened to us as we described the problems we were experiencing. He assessed the problem and offered his suggestions to solve the problems. He replaced the pipe section that was leaking under our house. His work was clean and neat. I will have DIF plumbing come back to take care of any of our plumbing needs.

New years day my hot water heater burst and we had no hot water. i called DIJ plumbing and got a reasonable quote. Ken came out the next day with a new hot water heater. With help from his assistant he removed the old heater and installed the new one. He upgraded the old pipes with new copper pipes. I paid with a personal check as he does not take credit cards. the family can now take hot showers and wash the dishes.

I am delighted with my experience with this company. My long-time plumber for my old, rickety house has been becoming less and less reliable and more and more expensive. On their last service call, they said my drain lines were leaky and should all be replaced and quoted $4,000. DIF Plumbing had recently replumbed my neighbor's equally vintage house and she spoke very highly of them, so I requested they inspect my pipes, investigate a leak, and make a recommendation. DIF Plumbing inspected my pipes and said they were old but not in need of immediate replacement. What I thought was a leak was really a corroded drain cap. They replaced the cap and snaked the sluggish drain for good measure. Total cost: $115.

Went smoothly without a hitch. Kazan knows his business and got it done very efficiently.

Finally, we have found an excellent, affordable, professional, and fast plumber! We live in a high rise apartment building and always have problems even though we are careful. We called them up yesterday and made an appointment for that afternoon, then they accommodated our schedule change and came this morning at our request. They were polite and got to work right away. Snaked the shower drain in the master bath, the toilet in the guest bath, and fixed a problem with our guest shower all in less than an hour. They even replaced the shower head for us with a new one that we had on hand. We had asked 3 other plumbers during other random visits if they could figure out the problem with our guest shower. Basically, the hot/cold water valve was not set properly behind the faucet lever so we could only get cold water from that shower. Took him just a minute to figure out and he fixed it! Finally, two showers that work! If we ever need a plumber here again (which I'm sure we will...) we now know who to call.

I discovered water dripping through the light fixture in a main floor bathroom after the toilet in the bathroom upstairs from it was flushed. I called DIF Plumbing and was told over the phone by Ken what he thought the problem might be. Ken was out the next day and fixed the problem within a half hour and showed me what he did and what was wrong. Great experience and an incredibly nice guy. The leak has been fixed and dried out and I would hire him again.

The price seemed reasonable and they showed up on time. They were able to resolve the problem.

On a Saturday we had a new refrigerator delivered and the installers were unable to connect the refrigerator to the water supply because the copper tubing thread was frayed. We were left with a situation where we would have no ice nor would be able to use the cold water in the kitchen sink until the installation was complete. We were told to call a plumber. We were unable to reach our local plumber and were unsure if he works on Saturday so we turned to Angie's List. I reached DIF Plumbing immediately and he was at our front door within 20 minutes. He was able to solve our problem on the spot and we were up and running within the hour. A couple of days later we had him return to do some additional work under the kitchen sink. Again, he responded promptly and arranged an appointment for the next day. He did a fine job, his fee was very reasonable, and we will be sure to call him again for plumbing issues that may arise.

I called and set an appointment for the next day. He arrived on time, assessed the problem and provided an estimate. All work was performed perfectly and the problem was resolved. The Angie's List discount was nice too!

The phone call went well and we determined on a late Friday afternoon appointment. I told them anytime after 3:00. They needed time with the previous appointment and arrived around 4:30, which was fine with me. After a a short tour around the house, the two men went to work on the gas situation first, which meant going under the house. While underneath, the leak was found and capped and all lines were checked and OK. He even found a capped line to a former owner's patio that I was not aware of. At the same time he found moisture on the ground under the bathtub. While the drain appeared secure, he felt the water must be coming from somewhere around the tub, which was the case. Before coming out from under the house, he removed some galvanized pipe that re-pipers had left after their job and tightened up a clear-out that was hanging in the way. Once he came out from under the house, the plumber was careful to remover his coveralls and clean himself up before entering the house. We found the water-leak points around the tub and I asked him to go ahead with the prep and re-grouting. Finally, we looked closely at the water heater vent pipe that goes up the wall and above the roof eaves. We could see why the pipe couldn't take a big wind, like the one that blew it down. Additionally, the connecting pipe between the top of the water heater and the 4" pipe to the roof was also inadequate (same re-pipers). After checking his truck for the right connecting parts, he found he could not complete that job without buying materials, so we agreed that he could return the next week and complete the job, which he did. I am very happy with the quality of service, the plumbers' great attitudes and suggestions and will likely call them again.

He came over within 2 hours of the call, and did a great job. I will definitely use him again.

I contacted the guy at about 1 o'clock in the morning and he came out early the next morning. He was lovely. I have a very bad arthritic knee and I am healing. I told him I would leave the door open for him. He called me before he came in. He was very very nice. I felt very safe with him. He was just awesome.

They were able to come out the next morning, at a time that fit my schedule. They were actually a few minutes early, had all the necessary parts in the van, and got the work done very quickly. They were professional and courteous. I will definitely call them for any future plumbing needs.

Use of company from previous service call. Replaced water heater and made new water main shut off valve so entire house water source would not be affected by just one valve shut off. Ken responded by email and estimate was clear and accurate. On the service day, Ken actually arrived 1/2 hour early. He and his assistant was efficient, careful and knowledgeable in replacing new piping, valves and the water heater. When finished, Ken explained and demo'ed the new valves and the settings on the new water heater. 10% discount was honored and the price of the water heater was explained that the price was set and couldn't be affected much with the discount. Cleaned up before leaving and was always cooperative and willing to answer questions.

I called and set up an appointment at 5:00pm and he was a tad late but not bad compared to people I have used in the past. No 4 hour window. He came, friendly, cleaned my drain for a lot less then the big named companies and was on his way. I have used him twice and referred a friend that needed a little different work done. She was completely satisfied also

Everything went super smooth. Ken was helpful during the initial phone call and agreed to come out that Saturday to take a look at the water heater which was making lots of noise. Being ten years old with lots of sediment inside, he recommended that I replace it. We scheduled to have the work done in 6 days. Ken and his assistant arrived around 9 and got the three things done before lunch time. They were friendly, quick, clean, and everything works as advertised. Would use again for future plumbing needs.

They were done with their work in ten minutes or less. He gave me a ten percent discount. He was punctual. He kept coming here on time and he responds on time. He’s very efficient. He’s knowledgeable to a point where he is able to give a description of what the issue is. He generally has got a good sense of what’s happening the minute he walks in the door. I would tell the others to hire him if they have a problem. When he took only fifteen minutes from the time he started the work and he sort of wrapped up, you not only pay for the labor but you also pay for what the person knows and what you don’t know. He had a certain level of expertise that I thought he should get for his basic service. It was a fair price to me and also cheap because I didn’t know how to do it. I would certainly use their services again in the future.

I have a weird work schedule and Ken and his family worked around it for me. He called me to let me know that he could come earlier than planned, but he waited to call me so I could get some sleep. He arrived on time and fixed the leaky faucet. He also told me that the replacement sink that I bought would not work and informed me that if I wanted to replace the sink it was going to be very expensive. He stated that I should wait and see, and then if the sink needs to be replaced, then we will gladly come back and do it. But since it is an old sink, it needs new pipes, which means using a jackhammer in the wall, and yadda yadda yadda. He then stated that if I do decide to get a new sink, he would fix another problem in my garage, something that has nothing to do with plumbing. He and his partner were very pleasant, very helpful, and I will be calling him back for all of my plumbing needs.

I think it is a one man office. If you call him, he will tell you when he is going to be there. He shows up on time. He does what he says. He does not try to find a way to make you pay more. He does a very reasonable job at a very reasonable price. I would use his service in the future too.

Ken and his assistant were incredible. He came over to the house in advance to survey the job and gave me a detailed estimate. We scheduled the work for the following week. On both occasions he arrived exactly on time with all the necessary materials to complete the job. They were very clean and professional. Ken replaced my hot water heater approximately six months before this job, and I was so impressed with him then that I didn't consider using any other service for this job, although I did verify the appropriateness of what he charged. I will definitely use him again and recommend him to others.

I needed an exterior water spigot re-routed because it was directly in the path of where I wanted to build a deck. Originally Ken just came out for an estimate. Then he offered to do the job on the spot and said that it would only take about an hour. He ended up being there for about 45 min. He also attached a faucet, which he had extra in his truck. This showed me that he was prepared (no unnecessary trips to the hardware store). Ken was friendly and professional. He gladly accepted the 10 percent off, Angie's list membership coupon.

DIF was awesome when it came to everything. Ken is honest, punctual and very easy to work with. I have a few more plumbing related projects that I will need to do and I will be using DIF for those projects as well. A+ company.

I called DIF at 1221pm and as promised, they arrived shortly thereafter. The technicians got right to work and completed the clearing of my P-Trap in the bathroom by 1330PM! My head is still spinning from the service those two gentlemen provided for on short notice! They ran into a difficult turn in the P-Trap and had to come at the drain from another drain pipe. They did that with ease and never suggested the challenge was going to defeat them. To future distressed victims of a clogged drain. Please read their tips on the home page because had I read it I would have saved some money by not buying over the counter drain clearing chemicals that did not work!

Ken made the service call the same day I called - even though it wasn't a desperate emergency. He did find roots in the drain, but he offered several ideas for dealing with them that didn't involve major (and expensive!) re-plumbing. Ken is professional and friendly. There is no doubt that my drain will be invaded by roots in the future and, when that happens, I will definitely call Ken!

All the work was done well. All my questions were answered completely and I felt like I can rely on the information. I would definitely call them again.
