DIF Plumbing & Rooter Service

It went well. The plumber who came out was professional. The price seemed a little bit high. I contacted him later about a water heater and his price was competitive but I ended up doing the water heater myself because everybody just charges too much to replace a water heater. Other than that, he did a good job and he cleaned up after himself.

Ken at DIF responded quickly and got the drains cleared in both houses with one service call. What a star! My tenants are happy and so am I! Ken did a fabulous job and got the problem taken care of with no delays. Kudos to Ken!

They came out to do an estimate for a property I intend on purchasing. Very professional and pointed out that a few of the items from the home inspection did not need to be done yet, which is great honesty. Once property is closed on, will absolutely use them and write a subsequent review.

DIF was extremely responsive when I first called. The follow up within 1/2 of leaving a message. We talked through my needs and scheduled a time for a visit. DIF was not on time and I had to follow up with them as to verify if they were still going to make the appointment (albeit late). Once they arrived, I was please with the workmanship. The work took no more than 30 minutes to complete.

DIF called me back promptly. They were available right away, and got the job done quickly and professionally. I would use them again.

Originally I called DIF Plumbing to get a verbal estimate for a leaking flex hose in one of my upstairs bathrooms and to install a new garbage disposal and insta-hot in my kitchen. I had received several estimates and DIF's was the most reasonable. I called them back and set-up a convenient time on Saturday when they could come and make the repairs. When I called to set-up the appointment, we discussed the model garbage disposal and insta-hot I wanted; they suggested I purchase the models I wanted prior to the installation time - which I did. They were punctual and prepared to begin the repairs. As I walked them through what needed to be done, we discovered that the flex hoses in my other two bathrooms also needed to be replaced. Since they were going to replace all of the flex hoses, they wanted to shut the water off at the emergency shut-off valve. When they went to do that, we discovered that the valve was old and frozen in the open position. They had to turn the water off at the water main. They replaced the flex hoses in the three bathrooms and installed the garbage disposal and insta-hot for slightly less than the amount originally quoted. In the course of discovering the frozen emergency shutoff valve, we discussed the replacement of the valve and made an appointment for the following Saturday afternoon. Once again they were punctual and prepared for the job. In the interim, I had purchased a dishwasher, which was delivered and supposed to be installed that same morning. The installer never showed up. When DIF arrived, they told me they could also install the dishwasher. I had them go ahead and do the installation too. They were punctual; they were prepared; they performed the work I hired them for - and then some; they were reasonable, and they were also neat and cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely use their service again, and I would recommend them highly.

This Angie's List reco certainly lived up to expectations. I couldn't be more pleased. I had one estimate of approx. $3500 to have the leaky pipe relined with an epoxy coating. I was prepared to spend well over $10,000 to have all my slab pipes rerouted at once. They may eventually all need to be rerouted but with this team I feel confident in doing it incrementally.

I had a water dripping from my second floor into my kitchen threatening my beautiful cheery wood cabinets among other things. I needed help right away and was concerned about the ceiling giving way. I called DIF after sending another plumber away because they did not seem capable of doing the job. This company was extremely responsive when I called, and when they arrived they were professional, knowledgeale and gave me every confidence that I was in good hands. They quickly located and fixed the problem. They also identified and showed me three other places in the same area where the pipe the same problem would occur if pieces of pipe were not replaced and offered to return to fix the problem which I am having them do today. They were great, saved my cabinets and my pocket book and most of all provided the peace of mind that the episode won't be repeated anytime soon.

They were very nice, extremely prompt, answered all our calls immediately, and got the job done. They were very good.

First of all I'd like to explain what's going on with my house. We are in the middle of installing bamboo floors on our concrete floors. Because they are being glued to the concrete floors, they check the moisture level using their moisture meter. The meter was registering high moisture levels in our kitchen and dining room and some spots nearby as well. That's when I decided to have DIF come in and check it out. Ken and Sam showed up 15 minutes earlier than they had said (which is great because I really wanted to get this checked out as soon as possible). When they got here I explained the situation and gave them a tour of the house. The first thing they did was check if there was a leak in the water line. No problem there. Next they said we should check the sewer lines. For this we went with running a camera through the pipes. This was great because it helped us see if there were any major problems with the pipes and helped me get a feel for the layout. After spending some time going through a few different pipes with the camera, running the water from different sinks and toilets, everything checked out. In fact, there were no pipes running through the dining room or kitchen floors! Ken's final suggestion was that maybe the slope of the backyard is causing the water to drain towards the house and the cement floors are holding in the moisture. He suggested that we not water the back yard and see if the floors dry up. If it turns out to be the case, he suggested we install a sump pump to carry excess water away from the house and into the street instead. Great advice! We're going to see if not watering the back yard will help dry the concrete floors first and then consider the sump pump idea at that point. We then moved on to fixing the clogged bathroom sink. Sam took care of that in a few minutes and it worked like a charm. Overall Ken and Sam did a great job. They were professional, friendly, and answered all my questions. I highly recommend their services. Thanks guys!

I had an excellent experience with them. They were on time, responsive, and professional. They were also very nice. They are now my permanent plumber.

Everything went fine, but I will say it was much more expensive than I anticipated. If I had to do it over again I would skip having them run the camera down the line because that was the bulk of the cost. All that being said, they took care of the problem quickly and efficiently and were very professional.

I would recommend them to others. Their price is a little high but the quality is good.

He was very personable and took care of my problem right away. He had to take care of an emergency so he would have to come back to finish the second part of my job. I felt very comfortable working with him. I felt he was very fair and honest with me.

Our water heater went out. I tried lighting it the according to instructions and couldn't get it lighted. He came over and lighted it. Its been fine ever since. He took the information on the water heater should there be any further problems. He wasn't exactly sure what caused it to go out.

He did exactly what I asked and gave me a time that he would be here, even called back to let me know that he could come out earlier if it was alright with me. I will be calling him back out to replace my water heater.

Ken arrived promptly, was professional, and friendly. He displayed a knowledge of the system, possible problems and solutions. He offered extended services for this problem, explained why it would help, and did not force the offer when I declined. Ken explained everything in a manner I understood. Furthermore, Ken listened when I described the problem, and my ongoing concerns during the operation. He and his assistant were clean, as were the tools and the execution. If I have a problem in the house, I will feel comfortable having them inside. Ken and his team are now at the top of our plumber contacts.

Ken was extremely professional, on-tim and cleaned up so well that I think he left my bathroom cleaner than when he arrived. He was respectful of our home and pets, he did not appear to be rushed even though the job took much longer than expected. What was a simple snaking turned into removing doors and the toilet over two days. There are possibly more problems (cracked pipe) but Ken only gave me facts and did not try to scare me or pressure sale me in any way. I gave him a B on price only because we are new to home ownership and truly have no idea how much these things cost. I'm sure hi sprice was reasonable and we will definately use him again in the future.
