 + -1 moreThey came in, took off the baseboards, installed the flooring, then replaced the baseboards. They even put in a baseboard in a space that did not have any, using some of my wood. They put in temporary shims where it butted up to some tile work until it could set up properly. I was very pleased with the job they did.
Description of Work: They came in and installed wood floors in a 100 square foot hallway.

 + -1 moreI pulled up the carpet and floor molding on my own. They just had to come in a sand and stain. I had a hole in my floor and they installed new floor there. Whole process took about 2 days. They were easy to get a hold of and it was very professional.
Description of Work: Refinished my hardwood floors. Installed new wood in a small section where I had a hole where the floor heater used to be.

 + -1 moreThe company was very quick to respond and schedule the work, including Saturday work. I think I paid a bit high for the refinishing, but they did meet my short schedule and were very courteous. I'm very happy with the results, the crew did well. There were some places that didn't get wiped down (existing base board) that has residual from the polyurethane, but excellent otherwise.
Description of Work: 400 sq. ft. of 50-yr old golden-oak flooring sanded and finished with polyurethane.

 + -1 moreWay better than expected. They were quick, on-time, and we're now happy with our 'old floors'. Jim explained everything up front, no secret costs, Kevin did a great job of keeping us and the work crew coordinated and working, and Romero, who was on the job site, showed us the different stains available and made suggestions that made sense.
Description of Work: Sanded and refinished about 850 square feet of white oak flooring from about 1953. Also covered a floor heater and replaced several badly stained boards. We liked the 'natural' finish, with three coats of poly. The mixed red and yellow colors in the floor look great. We may use room sized rugs, but we'll never again go back to wall-to-wall, dirt collecting, carpet.

 + -1 moreWe really liked Kevin Carter's manner from the start, and he had enough of a variety of products to show us and carefully explained what we should be thinking about, especially as the hardwood would butt up next to existing ceramic flooring. He answered all our questions and quoted a reasonable price. We were so tired of that carpet!
Description of Work: I called a few flooring companies in Angie's list and Kevin Carter was the first (and only) to call me back about what I thought was damage to the floor in our upstairs master closet. He agreed to come out and check it a couple days later, a Saturday. It turned out to be nothing, but while he was there we asked him about hardwood flooring. He showed us samples and was straightforward so we decided to have him get rid of stained loop carpet in the living/dining area and replace with hardwood. his crew arrived the following Saturday on time and did the installation in a quiet, professional manner.

 + 0 moreWe had the old gas heating unit removed from the house. It has since been replaced with a new unit with central air, however, this left a place on the floor where there was no original wood. This man is so good that if I did not know where it was on the floor I would never be able to tell. I am very happy with the outcome this job was in need of a professional and I am so thankful that I found one.
Description of Work: We have a very old home that needed some wood flooring fixed. They meshed it together so well you can not tell where the old was and new began.

 + -1 moreThis company was fantastic! From the initial phone contact and estimate through the entire job - all staff were professional and courteous. The job is beautiful and they cleaned and covered open areas to mimimize dust. Always on time and very very nice workers. I would highly recommend them to anyone - much nicer than most hardwood floor jobs I've seen in my friends homes.
Description of Work: Refinishing of wood floors throughout home - 2 bedrooms, hallway, living and dining rooms. Pulled up carpet, fixed stained spots and damage areas, sanded and sealed.
