I really needed someone to help solve an existing carpet problem in a newly purchased older home and their installer was available the same day - wouldn't expect that is a normal occurrence for such a business, but it turned out absolutely great. Steve, the service manager was quick to look at what we needed and arranged for it to be done.
Description of Work: Their installer installed a room of carpet.

In a down economy I expected to be treated pretty well. My experience was so-so. They weren't quick to return phone calls and getting installation scheduled was frustrating. My appointments were postponed several times. The first two rooms I got an estimate for together and decided that I didn't want to spend the money on the high end carpeting for one of the rooms so I only contracted to install one room. The estimator had already ordered the second room of carpeting - prior to me signing anything or giving a deposit. They made me feel under pressure to go ahead with the second room. To their credit, 6 months later when I went there to look at vinyl for my bathrooms, they offered me the extra piece of carpeting at half price. Again, though, the installation scheduling was a chore and they went ahead and cut a hole in the carpeting to accommodate a cable tv line that is no longer used without confirming it with me. The installers were very friendly and they were nice guys, but there was too much personal conversation both with me and with each other, including profanity, to be called professional. I finally went back for the final room of carpeting because I wanted the same carpet in all three bedrooms. The price they quoted was very high - I would have appreciated a little and quot;giveand quot; because of all the other flooring I ordered through them, but because I wanted matching carpeting I went ahead with it. This time the installation was scheduled and they showed up as promised, but after the carpet was installed I realized it didn't match the other two rooms. They insist that it is the same carpet and I truly don't know enough about carpet to be able to argue, but the pile seemed denser and shorter to me. Fortunately this bedroom is at the other end of the house so the difference isn't going to be noticeable to anyone but me. The installers saw the difference I noticed right away, but the estimator was very defensive and abrupt about it. As I said, I'm not in a position to argue, but I would have finished as a happier customer if he had been more willing to listen and at least come out and take a look. In the end I accepted the carpet and paid full price, but I won't be returning there in the future. I need to purchase a piece of carpeting to have bound to go over my hardwood flooring in my living room but I will look elsewhere for it.
Description of Work: I purchased three bedrooms of carpeting. The first was purchased 18 months ago, the second a year ago and the third this month (10/12). I purchased high end quality carpet and had it installed.

Was referred by a friend that use to work there. Steve is very pleasant and easy to work with. He gave me a quote, and was quite willing to look at remnants with me when I balked at the price. Found some remnants I liked, that fit perfectly in the rooms. Took 2 days to put in the carpet. Asked to hold off on vinyl as was planning to do work in kitchen involving some counter removal. Carpet put in, with doors and closet doors inside closets due to not fitting with new carpet taller than wood floor. Debris on floors, carpet fibers on floors, pieces of padding in closets. Separator strip between living room and master bedroom broken off, not replaced. Decided not to have kitchen counter fixed, so had them install vinyl in kitchen. Done quickly, but, again, no divider strip installed. Called the company, and they said it would be done the next day. Came in, and did the strip between the kitchen and living room, but missed the one between the bedroom and kitchen. Finally got that one done a couple of days later. Also, I had asked for the remnants of the remnant pieces to keep in case of carpet damage later needing patches. Only got any material back from one piece of carpet ( had 2 diff colors ) and I had to go to the store to get that. Overall, they do good work, but don't follow through. Check over their work after to make sure everything is done. And expect to clean up after.
Description of Work: Removed laminate wood flooring from 2 bedrooms and kitchen. Installed carpet in bedrooms, and vinyl in kitchen
