Overall, it went perfectly. Before Steve came out to the job, he estimated it would take no more than three hours provided there were no unforeseen problems. He also called a half hour before he came to let me know he was on the way. He was very polite the whole time. The only additional work that was needed once he came out were thee new heavy-duty earthquake straps and the relocation of the recirculating pump because of a slightly different new waster heater. After performing all these tasks and thoroughly cleaning up the area, it still took Steve only three hours for the entire job. I was very impressed. He even took away the large carton that the water heater came in, not leaving it for me to discard. I will use him again if needed and highly recommend him to anyone that asks me for a referral. It's not often you can find a reliable, polite, honest, efficient, knowledgeable and considerate plumber.

Stephen returned my call quickly, was able to schedule an appointment in only a few days. On the day of the appointment, he called in advance to say he was running late unexpectedly and gave an estimated time of arrival. Even though he was only going to be a few minutes later than this, he called again to let me know. I was stunned - no one ever calls when they are late! He wore booties over his work boots to keep my house clean. He looked at all my problems and told me exactly what I did and did not need, and explained why. He answered all my questions about other work I thought I might need. He had another person with him, George and they were very clean and careful. They spent about 2 hours doing the work and were kind and engaging with my 4 year old son who wanted to watch and ask questions. I will definitely use him for other work in the future.

Stephen arrived at the appointed time. It took one hour to replace garbage disposal and snake clogged drain. Very professional and knowledgeable. Would definitely call back for future projects. Charges are very reasonable.

This was an emergency situation. Our new tenant's u-haul has been sitting outside the house, costing $80/day. The new dishwasher could not be installed until we had a plumber out. Steve was completely booked for a week, but when we explained our situation, he squeezed us in towards the end of a long, hot day. Because the hardwood floors were being refinished, Steve could not run a water line to the new refrigerator. He's going to squeeze us in on Tuesday (after Labor Day)--and we will submit another (glowing) report. Steve is better than a doctor--he makes house calls!

I called Steven. He came over within 20 minutes. He got the job done better than necessary and spent more than an hour doing it. He charged us the minimum one hour charge, $67. I'm sticking with this guy. He's really thorough and more than fair.

High Performance was absolutely excellent. He arrived on time and did what he said he would do. I also felt that the price was exceptionally low for the work that the serviceman did. I was extremely happy with the experience.

We needed to finish the drywall in the kitchen we are remodeling and Stephen went out of his way to be available for us to meet our deadline. Everything went well and his work exceeds any known standards for copper pipe work.

Stephen was on time, very professional and very thorough. He even made sure not to track dirt in from underneath the house.

The plumber arrived a half hour early which was fine. I think I was his first or second stop of the day. The work required the plumber to go underneath the house through an access in a closet. He was very mindful about keeping the area clean, as the dirt under the house is very fine and seems to get everywhere. He then fixed the other two problems with ease. He understood what I needed and what was required to fix the problems. I didn't tell him about these other problems in my initial call, but he didn't mind taking the extra time to fix them when I brought them up. I will definitely call this company again for my future plumbing issues (which I seem to have a lot of lately!)

I called Steve and arranged to have him come out the next day. He arrived right on time. His work was very professional and efficient. Cleaned up the area after finishing. He wore foot coverings when entering the house, which was a nice touch that I had not seen with other plumbers in the past. I will definitely use him again.

I was in a bit of a pinch. My 'usual' plumber, was 'just too busy' for a routine plumbing job. I went to Angie's List and saw that Steve Hume had received an 'Angie Award' for 2006. I also looked at 2 others but once I spoke with Steve, decided to just go with my gut. I was not disappointed. He was running late and CALLED me ahead to update his arrival time. He was very professional and even though the job took longer than I WANTED, he fixed the problem. He also provided me with a name of an individual to fix my ceiling and also does tiles in the bathroom. I would recommend Steve.

Steve came by to fix sewer which blew up 1 hour before I had a bunch of family over...so I took off to a restaurant. He did the work in my absence, and it was all done by the time we returned...great!

I called Stephen this morning and told him what I needed to have done and he said he would come by in the afternoon. He showed up looking very professional and clean. He was very tidy and did a great job and cleaned up after himself.

Steve showed up at the prearranged time and got to work right away. He wore a uniform and looked and acted very professional. He drove a clean white van and explained what he was doing to my wife and I. The joints on the copper fitting were very clean and they were all prepped correctly before soldering. The work was performed in less than 40 minutes.

Steve and his men were very careful about tracking mud into the condo. They laid plastic throughout the house. He was prompt, very professional, and reasonable. Since we were on a tight schedule, they worked very long hours to meet the deadline. I was very pleased with his work. I highly recommend him and plan on using him in the future.

He was timely and efficient. Work went well. No fuss or muss.

The person who answered his phone had good people skills. When Steve came to my house, he was on-time and friendly. He works based on a reasonable hourly rate of $65 plus any parts. Very honest and straightforward. I would definitely use him again.
