Hi-Performance Plumbing

Steve replied to my (Saturday) phone call the next day. He asked appropriate questions so that he could be prepared with the right parts. He showed up on the day I requested, on time and in uniform. He went right to work, accomplished the task, cleaned up, invoiced me and left. One of the most pleasant and painless experiences I've ever had with a plumber.

They were very prompt and courteous. Explained what needed to be done and the cost. They were very fast and did a great job. Even did a nice clean up! Said they would come back and replace concrete they had to remove and that was even done nicely. I would definitely call them again!

Stephen and his assistant Raphael completed the work in the three days it was expected. They were both very pleasant and extremely professional. I have 2 dogs, which stayed in the house during the work and both gentlemen were very conscientious that the dogs did not get out. Each day they showed up on time and cleaned up their work area so well it looked better after they left than it had before. I was also very impressed that they moved a large trash can in front of the opening to the under part of our house so that our dogs would not get in. We will be using them for future projects. Excellent work was performed in a timely manner and no hidden costs were added on. The estimate was exactly the price we paid even though Stephen added on a hot water outlet for me to wash our dogs. I would highly recommend Stephen and his company Hi Performance. They were professional, pleasant and very polite. I cannot say enough nice things.

He put some pipes in the kitchen because they were leaking under the house. He shows up on time. He very professional. His cost is good as well. He cleans up behind himself. He calls and we agree upon a time and he even gets in early.

Stephen Hume was quick to return my call, and it was easy to schedule an appointment a day or two after my call. He arrived a little earlier than our appointed time and completed the job quickly and well. I appreciated that he volunteered to look for a new tank lid for the older toilet when I asked him how I could find one.

They were on time, real professional and had no problems unclogging the drain. Left the area spotless and once again, Hi Performance Plumbing comes through!

I contacted them. They were on time. They diagnosed the situation and set up an appointment for the next day. They came the next day and removed concrete and flooring to get down to the copper pipe. Repaired the leak and installed insulation around the pipe to guard against future leaks. They came back today and filled in the hole with cement.

Called in the late afternoon after scheduled plumber unable to make it due to being stuck on another job. It was short notice and Stephen was willing to come over the same day. He said they would be at my house in an hour. In about 45 minutes the plumbers were here. They were professionally dressed and polite. Entire job took around 45 minutes. They left no trace that they had done work on the plumbing. The kitchen was left in the same condition as they found it. I would recommend for others. I plan to have them come back to install a tankless water heater in a couple of months.

I found Hi-Performance on Angie's List (first time I've used it). We previously had a quote to fix the problems that ranged between $5,000 - $12,000. Hi-Performance's bid was $1,000. They advised us of what really needed to be done, not to replace all the pipes under the house (like the other estimate). We were able to make an appointment within 4 days, the repairman was nice, courteous and quick. They fixed the problem and cleaned up their mess. Would defiantly use them again.

Hi Performance arrived on time, got right to work, completed everything with high quality workmanship. Replaced old parts that were needed. Also made suggestions for other parts that needed to be replaced because they were old and near their end of service life. I was very pleased with their entire engagement and will hire them for all of future plumbing needs. Their prices and value are very good. I am a person who looks for value more importantly than price. In the case of Hi Performance, I believe that I got exceptional value and very good price.

Stephen Hume returned my call on the same day to schedule an appointment. He arrived at the scheduled time and completed the job in a very reasonable amount of time. He and his assistant did a great job and were very pleasant. The toilet installation was done very neatly (he cleaned the floor under the old toilet before installing the new one) and there was no mess at all left behind. He seemed knowledgeable and willing to answer other plumbing related questions. I plan to call him next time we need plumbing services.

Steven was on time and did a very nice job. Took a little longer than I thought but still reasonable. He had some questions about the product so I called the vendor and he got his questions answered. Cleaned up any minor mess he made and was on his way. Price was a little high but still acceptable.

Stephen returned my call promptly and installed the disposer in a couple of days when I had the free time. He arrived on time and proceeded to work on the project. The quality of his work is excellent. He also was particular in keeping the area clean, both during and after the installation, and took the old disposal and parts with him so I did not have to deal with them. I asked if he serviced sump pumps. He said he did not, but gave the name of another company. He was kind enough to call his distributor for the telephone number for me. I am very happy with the results and will definitely call him again.

Prompt, courteous, efficient, quality, bargain...perfect.

This report is not being written because of the cost of the job, rather for the responsiveness with which it was done. This is a pleasant person to work with who came in on the same day as called. I told him I needed a check on some other plumbers work, and while most people wouldn't even come out for that, he did and was able to correct the problem and address other issues as well, not previously addressed by three other plumbers. I fully recommend Mr. Hume, and if you call him out, you'll see what I'm talking about. Thank you, Hi Performance.

Called for a quote and appointment on a Wednesday, and scheduled the job for the next Friday (two days later). Would not provide a price estimate over the phone, but was not overly concerned based on the evaluations here. Stephen showed up early by my request, with one assistant. Upon arrival, he still could not/would not provide a price estimate, but I proceeded anyway. Once the work was finished flawlessly, they cleaned up and swept the garage until it was cleaner than before they arrived. The final price was in line with my expectations, although it wasn't until after the job was complete. I don't know what I would have done if there had been a bad surprise, but luckily there wasn't one. Overall, I can unconditionally recommend Stephen for plumbing work and intend to call him first if I need plumbing in the future. Stephen is a one-man outfit (assistant notwithstanding). This kind of entrepreneurism should be rewarded by Angie's List members.

From the first contact, Stephen was responsive, helpful, flexible and resourceful. He was willing to come in on-call when our kitchen demolition was taking place in case the shut off valves did not work properly. As it turned out, he wasn't needed then but when I called him several weeks later to schedule the hook-up work, he remembered me and had all the pertinent details, such as location of the job and my contact phone numbers. He arrived promptly (we had to get the work done quickly so we could leave town in a few days) with a helper and the two of them worked steadily for several hours. Everything was great when he left, all the plumbing worked and everything was clean. When the flow rate of our filtered water suddenly slowed to a trickle, he came back and adjusted it and showed us how we could adjust it if it changed again. It was a most satisfying plumbing experience. This was our first time using Stephen, and now we have a plumber we will use over and over.

Stephen arrived when he said he would. Went right to work. Did a quick job. Cleaned up afterward.

Stephen exceeded my expectations in all areas. Very professional, neat, extreme attention to detail, got the job scheduled and completed quickly.

Stephen's work is great. On-time, thorough and good follow up. No shortcuts. Very reasonable price for the value received. No surprises!

This has been my best experience with any home repair service provider in many many years. His price was 25% of the estimated fee the other Angie's List plumber asked. The other plumber wanted $434.00 if I went out and purchased the parts myself. He said his company mark-up was too high for me to pay.

This contractor showed up early for the appointment, did the work quickly and thoroughly, and left no mess for me to clean up. In all a painless, pleasant experience. Would definitely recommend this company.

Mr. Hume returned my call promptly and even called to let me know he could come sooner than the scheduled appointment. He probably saved me from having to replace my whole kitchen. As stated previously he did an excellent job, opened the ceiling to locate the leak, cleaned everything up, laid towels on the counters to protect them, replaced the broken value with a better one. I'm very happy to know if I have plumbing issue there is someone I can call with integrity.
