Avoid this company at all costs. The owner is unprofessional and a angry man. He berated my wife on a Yelp review, lied about what occurred and his products are of poor quality. Backstory, had our entire home window screens replaced by Danco, less than a year after install we started noticing paint chips on the screen frames, and metal was corroding. Also some areas of screen to metal were sloppy. After contacting Danco about what the warranty was they asked to come by and take a look. He blamed the issue on water damage, which we dont use any of because we have fake grass and decorative stone all around the house. On his YELP rebuttal he stated we have grass and sprinkles which is no where near the truth. If you look at there Yelp page, the negative reviews and his rebuttals should show enough about what kind of Company they are. Please look elsewhere, I wouldn't want anyone else to have to be treated this way by a company.

After his wife called me with her complaint about the screen frames deteriorating and claiming that it hadn't even been a year yet, I decided to look her up in my records and discovered that in actuality, it had been almost 1 year and 4 months since completion of her job. I always give a 1 year warranty on all work, products and labor. Although her warranty had already expired, I felt I should still go out to her house and see what was going on. After over 30 years in the business I had never received a complaint like this. The appointment was made for 1 week later which included a weekend in between so she was quickly attended to. When I arrived she wasn't nice to me at all but, I overlooked this and asked to see the screens with the problem. What I saw was some corrosion. This can be a common occurrence on screen frames subjected to water or moisture. The frames are made out of aluminum and we all know what can happen to aluminum. They don't live far from the ocean and that certainly alone could have caused this to happen. Finally, she claims we use inferior products and I beg to differ as we use only the best quality name brand screen products. She has completely fabricated her story with lies, but the bottom line is the warranty has expired. Now her husband is extracting revenge by going around and giving our company bad reviews. There is only one mad and mean person here and that is not me. You sir, are showing your true colors by what you are doing. You live close to the beach and you and your wife keep neglecting to admit or mention this fact. Plus your warranty has expired. It is you and your wife who are the angry ones here. You both are the ones posting lies and being unreasonable. Once again I will say that we use only the best quality name brand screen products. By the way, you mention our bad Yelp reviews. There are so little of those compared to all the great ones and the bad ones happen to be trivial, just like yours is.

On 2/10/2012 Danny of Danco Screen Service came to give an estimate on a new screen door. He was courteous and took his time. My wife and I settled on a Model F white. He measured and I gave him the $140 requested deposit. Total price $271.88 On 2/23/12 Danco (Danny) returned to install the screen door. Shortly before he was finished I pointed out to him the large space on the hinge side from the top to bottom. Plenty of space for bugs to enter. His reply was that there is nothing he can do, that they are all like that. I told him that it is unacceptable and unless he fixes it (there is a fix) I don't want the door. His next move was to unscrew the door. I wanted to take a picture with my I phone which I had with me, but he blocked the view and I had no chance until the door was removed from the hinges. He told me that I will not get my deposit of $140 back. He was in a rush and he was rude., He did not take the time required to resolve the problem.I put in a complaint with the BBB Please note: When Danny from Danco first arrived I showed him the rear screen door, which I had installed with a friend several years ago. I pointed out that when I had finished the installation there was a large space on the hinge side from top to bottom. I had to fill in the side with weather stripping to close the gap. He replied that his door has 3 hinges not 2 and this would not be a problem. I also sent a complaint to the Better Business Bureau on February 24, but no response as yet.

I was contacted by the member about purchasing a front screen door. He chose the one that he wanted and gave me a deposit for the door. I returned in the time specified and only installed the door halfway when the member raised his hands and said that this is not acceptable. He was referring to the normal space on the hinge side of the door while the door is in the open position. This is normal for these type of doors. With the door closed there would be no space. He would not let me complete the installation and told me he would not pay the balance for the door owed to me. After trying to explain to him I realized that there would be no reasoning with this man I uninstalled the door and left. If this had been a stock door I would have given him back his deposit right then and there, but this door was custom made for his existing front door. I could not return the door and get my money back. A stock door is a door that will fit any front door. If this was the case then I could have resold it to someone else. Being it was custom made for his door meant that I would not be able to do anything with it. Being custom made means that the deposit is non refundable. He liked the door. His complaint was about the small space on the hinge side of the door. He never showed me his other door that someone else had installed. When I received his complaint and saw that he had another screen door which had the same space because as I previously said that's how these type of doors are. Anyway, I called the member to tell him that I would come back and reinstall the door and I would than install the same type of weather stripping like his other door had. I told him that I would not charge him for that either. He said he wanted his money back and hung up on me. I called him two more times in that week. The first time he wouldn't talk to me and hung up on me again and the second time he told me he purchased another door from someone else and the installation would be in two days. He chose to do this and put me in the position with no other choice.In my response to his complaint to the Better Business Bureau I said that what I would be willing to do was to refund to the member $36.18. I paid $103.82 for that door. His deposit was $140.00. That would be the difference between what I paid for the door and what he gave me as the deposit. I felt that was fair under the circumstances. I have an A Plus rating with the better Business Bureau and there is a reason for that. I am an honest person who does what he is supposed to do. I try to please all my customers and have been in business for over 30 years. The work I do and the materials I use are of the finest quality. Unfortunately, the member would not let me back to complete this job. He was unreasonable and it was his choice. It could have ended with both of us happy and a job well done.
