They did an excellent job of taking down several large trees and grinding out the stumps. It's best to plan ahead because they are busy. We decided to remove another tree after the initial work was done, before having a new patio installed. I got a little stressed not knowing for sure that they would be able to work me in before the paver contractors needed to begin the installation. Thankfully Brandon came through for me!

The whole operation was excellent. Brandon was prompt for the estimate appointment. He was fast, but through, in listening to what I wanted done and in explaining what his crew would do to satisfy my desires. Although his bid was not the lowest, it was obvious to me that as an arborist he knew his business and expressed his plan of action completely and clearly. It was my opinion that the quality of what he would provide would far outweigh the price difference. Consequntly, he got the job. He met his crew here at the promised time, and explained to his foreman what should be done. They performed their work, quickly, thoroughly, and professionally. Everything was completely cleaned up before they left. Brandon's crew validated my original conclusion, and it was money well spent. I would use him again in an instant, and would recommend him without hesitation or reservation.

They were here and gone in record time. Cleaned up everything scrap of tree and hauled away everything.

They were prompt in their initial visit to estimate the work. I got a written estimate in a few days. They showed up as promised and were very courteous. This was a small job, but I would try them again on bigger projects.

Brandon from American Arbor Care came out the same day that I called, walked the property with me patiently while I went through what I thought we needed to do (I really am in need of a landscape designer/architect). Without trying to secure more work or a bigger project, Brandon honestly pared down what I needed to do to 3 simple items: remove a huge ficus, 3 smaller trees, and remove a small stump. He said he would have a quote for me that afternoon and he did. American Arbor Care's estimate was almost $700 cheaper than the next lowest bid (we had 5 estimates); I was a bit wary so I called to confirm the understanding of the work to be done. Brandon assured me that it was for the work we discussed and a date was booked. Had to wait a week for the work to be done, but I can understand why they're busy - they're great at what they do. The day came for the trees to be cut and a crew of 4 showed up ready to go. They made short work of the trees and kept at it pretty much all day. All were very courteous, professional, and kind to my little 3 1/2 year old who had a ton of questions. I actually had to make them take a break at one point for coffee and donuts. At the end of the day, they insisted that I check the work to be sure we were happy and we were. Perhaps this review seems overly glowing but it's an honest review. If I ever need more work done, I will call Brandon and American Arbor Care first. By the way, when a landscape construction estimate was being done for more extensive work, the landscaper asked how much we were getting the ficus cut down for. When I told him the price that American Arbor Care was going to do it for, his words: "Wow! I better call them for my house." Actual quote.

I have used this company before and Brandon is a pleasure to work with......he was on time for initial appointment and listened to my concerns. He made suggestions as we walked around the property and gave me a quote very quickly. Once I agreed to the quote, he scheduled me (within 1 week) and was on time for the work to be done. Excellent job and clean up!!!! I will certainly call this company again and suggest them to friends. A pleasure.

The owner was very friendly and I was happy with that until I received the estimate which was extremely over priced. Even half of the price he quoted me would have been outrageous.

We were hoping to get the trees removed soon because we also have to get the block wall fixed. I called another tree service and American Arbor. Left a message at the service but they never called back. Brandon Gill from American Arbor did come to give an estimate on the day we set up but he was almost an hour late. He did apologize profusely though. He gave us estimate with the cost of just removing the trees that were breaking the wall and estimates for the other plants we wanted removed. After he left we discussed the estimate and decided that is about what we figured it would cost having had similar work done other times. I called their office and told the lady that answered that we would like to go ahead with the work and have it done soon. She said that Brandon was still out and she would have to wait for him. It was late on a Friday so it was likely I would hear from them on Monday. Monday came and I didn't hear from them so we figured they had other jobs. Now it's Tuesday about 8 in the morning and I had been asleep then I hear the phone ringing and the doorbell ringing and I'm wondering what the heck is going on. I got up and looked out the front and it's Brandon with his crew. I'm a kind of annoyed because we never heard from them. Called Brandon on his cell and he said they left a message on the phone saying they could do the job today. I told him there was no message from them and there wasn't. He apologized and said he was sure they called and left a message. I let him go ahead and do the job anyway since they were here. It's possible a message was left and something happened to but I don't know what. And what else bothers me about this is that I would think they need our confirmation to do the job on a certain day. Other than this they did a very good job and wold likely use them again.

We have a magnolia tree between the sidewalk and the street which means the city of LA should have the responsibility of taking care of the tree but I could never get through to them. After years of neglect, the tree grew so big and lopsided, I was afraid it was going to fall over one of these days. We had American Arbor come out to trim the tree (lace it). The result was unbelievable!! The tree looks much better now.

The estimate was professional, they arrived on time and completed the work without any hassle. They also provided guidance on what type of tree to replace it with if I want to plant another one. The initial price estimate sounded fine to me, so I have no basis to compare that to other companies.

I am happy with the work completed and would probably hire them again.Brandon (owner) arrived on time for initial consultation and to give bid. He is a certified arborist and provided expert advice about options for the twisted juniper. They emailed bid in a timely fashion and the office followed up with a phone call to answer any questions. The bid was similar to others and competitively priced.The 2-man crew (led by Jesse) showed up about on time and got right to work after brief discussion with me to clarify the contracted work. After I could see they were doing a good, careful, yet efficient job, I asked them about doing some additional landscape clean up--removing some jumbled up shrubs and ground covers. After clear discussion with the owner, we agreed on a fair price for the additional work.The crew completed work diligently, spread arborist chip in unplanted areas, and cleaned up nicely.After they left, I noticed some new damage to the end of the wood beam of our patio roof, obviously caused during the twisted juniper removal, like a chunk of it falling. I will follow up with the company and leave an update if necessary. Meanwhile, I'm giving a good rating because everything else went great.

Cut a 30-foot podicarpus tree flush to the ground. It was growing next to the house and was becoming a hazard, let alone the leaf droppings causing roof problems. Very happy with the foreman, Juan. The crew was professional and efficient. Tree removal was performed in a safe manner. Hauled away all debris. It was a good price compared to other estimates I had gotten. They were able to send a crew out the next day. I would use them again.

I didn't even ask for a quote as their price has always been fair. The 1st year I used them they had the best price by far.

They are very good. I've used them for years. Brendon Joe gave us the estimate. They have the same foreman for tree trimming. Jessie was the foreman recently. They just do a really good job. This one was expensive because I have so many trees. There are nine very large trees or very large plants that were done. Two of them were particularly expensive because they are very big and difficult to do. I know there are lot of people out here that trim the trees and if you don't care about how butchered they look, then you get a cheap price. If you care about the shape of your trees and proper trimming of your trees then they are worth using. I want them for tree trimming for years and years. They are less expensive than other tree trimmers who I used to do the same quality stuff. They are not the most expensive.

It I s great company to use. Heir price is good and they did a good job. Actually I used them because they are doing the work at our office for four years.

We used American Arbor Care for tree service several years ago to trim our Cypress trees and cut back our bougainvillea. We were very pleased with their work then, so we called them again for a new estimate for our Cypress trees. They are very responsive and proactive in their communications, and, in fact, they were the only company to get back to us. We asked them for multiple estimates: 1. Removal of two Juniper trees in our front yard with a flush cut or a stump removal 2. Side trim of our six backyard Cypress trees 3. Flush cut removal of the six backyard Cypress trees We ended up handling the Junipers ourselves, and we decided to go for a complete removal of the Cypress trees - from our perspective, it was a better choice for our yard and financially. (NOTE: Although American Arbor quoted us for the Cypress side trim as per our request, they recommended against this option because it would be unhealthy for the trees). After we contacted them with the "go ahead," we were expecting about a one week delay before the job would commence. Unexpectedly, they contacted us on Jan 24th and said that they had an opening for tomorrow afternoon. We said "okay." The next day about twelve workers showed up a bit early (no complaints!), and after their lunch, they started the work right on time. I wasn't there to witness it, but my wife said they finished in two hours! These were big trees (each one at least 30' tall, some much larger), and our home doesn't have particularly large side access points to our backyard. Nonetheless, they got the job done quickly and cleaned up after themselves nicely. Their work has really changed the look of our yard and created lots of new possibilities. We would certainly hire American Arbor Care again, not to mention recommend them to friends and family.
