FIX IT RITE

Most recently I used him when I came home from work on very hot day and AC wasn't working. Called Steve that evening, he came out next day, diagnosed and repaired promptly.

I first encountered Fix It Rite about 12 years ago when a big name, Rheem-authorized repair service (with lots of advertising in our area) said we needed to replace one of our heating units when it failed. They installed a new - and free - thermostat and provided a large estimate for replacing the heater. I thought it a bit weird to get a free thermostat and asked a friend in construction, who recommended Fix It Rite. Steve with Fix It Rite came out and found the new thermostat did not function. He replaced the thermostat and another small part, and the heater continues to function today. Steve is honest, always shows up when promised, and is skilled in washer/dryer, dish washing, refrig, and heat/ac units. I have had him do it all. If you are looking at a big cost for replacement, I suggest you call him to ensure it is really needed. You will get an honest and skilled perspective. I have recommended Fix It Rite to friends and family for appliance repairs, and they have been uniformly pleased.

Oven repair: he was unresponsive with phone calls for appointment. He did business over the phone while working on the oven. He promised to call back with the answer to our questions, and did not. Dishwasher repair. - he reset a switch, collected the home insurance company maximum of $75 and left. He was in the house maybe five minutes. Only my daughter was home so she didn't know what to do. I feel ripped off and he could care less about customer service or repeat business. I won't use him again.

We called Steve for a second opinion. He agreed with the outcome, but was half the price. He came back out with the parts on the date requested. He was done in the time he said. We have heat now upstairs and down.

I had used him one time before. He was very professional and on time. He does a great job and is real nice. I will use him for all electrical and heating work in the future.
