Eastwood Air

Our AC went out on June 17th, right before the big heat wave. I called our home warranty company and they assigned Eastwood Air to come out. To my surprise, the technician called me Sunday morning (the 18th) and said he would be out that day, awesome! But that's where awesome ended. He came out, looked at the unit (keep in mind it is super old), said the wiring was terrible and that it was so old that he didn't know how to fix it. He rigged it to where we could manually turn it on by plugging it in and turning on the thermostat, and said that he was going to put in for replacement of the unit, ok great. He said he would turn in the paperwork to his office and that it should be to the home warranty by Tuesday, great! Tuesday morning rolls around, the unit craps out completely, I call the home warranty company, they don't have any paperwork from Eastwood Air, ok, I call Eastwood Air, leave a message for Jeannette (I believe that's her name), telling her the unit is out completely, and basically begging her to submit our paperwork to the home warranty company, I received no call back. I then call her EVERY SINGLE DAY AFTER THAT last week, not once did she return my phone call. The home warranty company contacted them daily, no response, and so did my fiancé, not one phone call was returned to any of us. Called the home warranty company this morning, still nothing from Eastwood Air, so I left yet another message for Jeannette this morning telling her if my paperwork isn't turned in today I WILL be leaving a bad review online. Well guess who decided to return my phone call at 4:30 this afternoon? That's right, Jeannette finally decided to call me back, but now she says the unit doesn't need to be replaced, it just needs a part. What? I tell her the technician that came out said he was putting in for replacement of the unit, now it just needs a part? How does that work? She says he spoke to the contractor and they decided it just needs a part, and that the technician can come out tomorrow and replace the part. Huh? So now someone who hasn't even looked at the unit says it just needs a part? How is that even possible?? I immediately called the home warranty company and asked them to transfer us to someone else, I don't trust a word they say, and I certainly don't want them anywhere near my home again. They were uncaring, and provided nothing but horrible customer service. I of course understand that they are super busy, but this was just completely unacceptable. We now have to wait another week for a new company to come out, just because every HVAC company is super busy. I'm not sure if we were treated this way because it was set up through the home warranty company, but beware of these people, especially if it's through your home warranty.

This is the second Hvac air conditioning unit Eastwood air has replaced for me. He was sent through my warranty company as only one in a few that work on these older complicated systems, which I have three units. Several companies they have sent over the years weren't up to par, Eastwood is. The warranty company paid for the new unit, my only cost was not covered things like title 24 duct testing required by California and a drain pipe. Even without warranty insurance I would call John. Since finding him I have changed to his company for servicing all my units. He is very knowledgable about all aspects of these systems unlike others I have dealt with.
