The Davey Tree Expert Company

Avoid this company. The staff are the worst, I have not used them myself but this is my experience with two of it's crews. I just arrived home with my two young children to find one of Davey's trucks completely blocking my driveway while one of their guys was up in the lift cutting the tree. I honked the horn and another guy on the ground just waved at me. I jumped out to tell him it is ridiculous that he is blocking my entire driveway and he got totally up in my face screaming at me to be patient and acting as though he were about to hit me. Is this the normal Davey protocol? This is the second time I have had problems with Davey crews. One of it's commercial crews was here in the summer blocking our narrow street. The garbage truck was forced to veer wide to get past Davey's trucks which were blocking the street and knocked a large branch off one of my trees. Instead of just putting it through the wood chipper the crew simply left the branch hanging off my tree and tossed the smaller branches onto my property. I called and complained and got no response. I ended up having to saw the branch into small pieces and over the course of several weeks dispose of it in my compost bin. There are far better tree surgeons in the Easy Bay. I personally use Traverso and they are excellent. Avoid Davey if you value your neighbors. I can't speak for their work, but your neighbors will thank you not to use them.

They were great. They were excellent. They were very professional and very nice. I've used them a couple of times.

I went out and got five bids and they were pretty much in the middle of the road but what sold me was the gentleman who came out to give the estimate and his name is Joe Berg. The other people that came out to give me estimates were in and out in ten minutes tops while Joe was here for quite a bit of time giving me tips and explaining things. He was extremely knowledgeable and I felt quite comfortable with going through him and then he came back on site when they came to trim the trees and everything. We were very pleased with the service and they cleaned up after themselves. We have used them in the past but we have decided that we would get the other estimates and we were glad that we decided to use them again and we would use them again.

Davey Tree removed a large dead tree from immediately in front of a large bay window. Our phone wire ran through the tree. The tree was safely removed with no damage to the house, window or wiring. Stump was ground down. No damage to surrounding landscaping. We were very satisfied with Davey's services.

I have thought very highly of them. I have been using them for about 12 years every year. I have them do some things because I have a lot of work that they take care of. I think they are very reasonable. The trees that they pruned were of varying sizes and there were different things that they did. I definitely think that they are a good price. I think that the specific crew that they use is really important. I have worked with the same crew over the years so they know my trees really well. If it is somebody that is looking for an ongoing relationship, that might be something for them to keep in mind. If it somebody that wants just a onetime prune, then they don't have to worry about it as much.

It was excellent. They were quick, tidy, polite and cleaned up well after themselves. They did it in the middle of a rain storm.

I liked Davey tree. They arrived on time at the right date and time. They completed the work in professional complete manner. I felt their pricing was very reasonable. They have done two different jobs for me.

I called for an estimate. They said Mitch would call me Saturday morning to tell me when that day he would come out. No call from him and at 1:00pm I called the Mitch and left a voice mail on his phone. No return call from anybody and its 4:45 pm.Pretty lousy service.

DAVY TREE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL RIGHT FROM THE START. THEY CAME OUT TO SEE WHAT THE JOB WOULD INTEL AND GAVE US A PRICE. THEY RETURNED THE NEXT DAY TO COMPLETE THE JOB. THEY WERE POLITE, VERY NEAT AND CLEAN. THE JOB WAS COMPLETED IN GREAT TIME. I WILL BE USING THEM AGAIN SOON.
