Craig was wonderful. He told us what he was going to do and that was what he did. He even helped us fix the remote on our garage door! He was quick, very efficient and arrived when he said he would.

I found out about Caltech form Angies' List. And I"m glad that I did. Craig was very professional and answered all of my questions. I really liked the fact that he himself does most of the work and that it's a family owned company. He was always very punctual and right on time. I didn't know a lot about permits and all, but I had another contractor who did, and I wanted Craig to talk to him to make sure that we are on the same page, that the work he would be doing, will not require a permit. Craig took it very professionally, and wasn't hesitant to talk to the other contractor, and convince him and me that we didn't need a permit. The gate he installed is very beautiful and sturdy, and works like a charm. It's been a few months only, but after working with Craig and experiencing his professionalism, I'm very confident that I will have no problem with the gate. Since purchasing our house, I've used a ton of contractors, and I can proudly say that Craig is the most honest and professional contractor that I've ever worked with. Go with him.... and you will be pleasantly surprised !

Craig and his son arrived bright and early on the appointed date. They worked and worked until they were done ...at least 10 hours because the rewiring was a little bit complicated. . I am very happy with my gates and very pleased with Craig Crawford... very professional and a very nice person. I highly recommend Cal Tech Fencing. Craig from Caltech Fence was great from start to finish. Caltech fence was recommended to us by a landscaping contractor who we had found via Angie's list. We received 3 quotes from different contractors and Craig's was similar and maybe slightly less than the others (all 3 quotes were close). However, the many pictures he provided of his previous work put his quote over the top. We wanted the gate in a somewhat tight spot with not a lot of room to spare on either side. Craig's design left the maximum amount of space for our cars to pass through and it looks great. Our neighbors were complimenting the gate even before Craig was done installing it. After a week it felt like the gate had been there since the house was built. In addition to the gate fabrication and installation, Craig removed an existing, heavy (and ugly) metal gate from our carport. This turned out to be a non-trivial job requiring Craig to cut the gate up on site before hauling it away. Although I had forgotten to specify it in the quote, Craig did the job "right" and also removed the broken garage door style motor and associated rails, etc. Craig's attention to detail was also evident after the gate was installed. Even after I had given him the final payment, he stayed behind to finish adjusting the gate actuator because he wasn't fully satisfied with the final gate position (I wasn't complaining but could see what he was talking about). Later after I asked him about the proper lubricant to use on the actuator, he dropped by and left me a free bottle of his recommended product.
