About us

Erik Olofson has been building and upholstering furniture for more than 27 years. He began creating whimsical Big Cozy Books when his kids thought his design for a local library seating area was, well, boring. His daughter said, "Why don't you make the seats look like big books?" The light bulb went on, and he started creating. Today, Big Cozy Books designs are being shipped throughout the world.

I gave Eric a sketch of what I wanted and that is what he produced. I found a fabric is his books of available patterns. Eric gave me an estimate and it all worked beautifully. I was so happy with his results that I recommended Eric to a friend who had him reupholstered her dining room chairs and she was similarly happy.
Description of Work: Eric at Big Cozy Books made a custom upholstered headboard for our kind bed.

Great
Description of Work: I went to Eric for an upholstered head board. We discussed the initial cost . Eric showed me several books of fabrics. I took them home and chose a fabric. We discussed the design. Settled on a drawing and price and then Eric made the headboard. Then Eric made it. Several weeks later I picked it up and was really pleased with his work. I later referred him to a friend who was equally satisfied.
