Bay Area Turf

If I could give Bay Area turf a zero, I definitely would! First of, they were very persistent with me when they were trying to win my business, the project manager, even the owner was reaching out to me via email really asking for my business. I thought that was admirable for a business to do that so I decided to give them a chance. I had two people come to give me a quote because something happened with their initial quote - no problem. The day of the scheduled installation, I got an email from their project manager that the turf I chose was no longer in stock so I had to choose another turf. That sucked because I didn't wanna have to choose another turf because my wife and I were pretty set on what we chose but we found another one that was close enough to what we chose - so no problem. The turf was installed successfully but before the installers left, I asked them about how to care for the turf and if I needed to know anything about the turf. Thats when they told me "oh you need to tint your windows before Summer". When I asked why they said, the area that the turf was installed will likely get a lot of sun which will burn/melt the turf. Well, that was important information that was not relayed to me when Bay Area Turf folks came out not once but twice to give me a quote. We had a whole shaded side yard that we could have installed our turf if we knew about the sun burning though the turf. I think this is VERY IMPORTANT information that should have been relayed to us! Interestingly, we noticed lines in the turf in like february (turf was installed in October) - it wasnt even summer yet. So I thought maybe the turf was faulty and was falling apart. I reached out to Bay Area turf MULTIPLE TIMES, with no response even after escalating to the owner. Eventually (probably , I got a response and they said the would send someone out to take a look. That also took almost 2-3 months of constant emails and then when the guy came out, he said that it was the sun burning through the turf. So I asked what was next, and he said he would like the company know and that they would follow up. That was in May of 2024. I'm still yet to hear from them... Terrible service. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Matt and his crew just completed our small turf install last month and it looks amazing. We spent a lot of time looking at different types of turf and the product that Bay Area Turf put in is great. We got a quick quote online and Matt was able to adjust his schedule to come give us a visual quote. The grass was done within the week. I would highly recommend Bay Area Turf for your artificial grass install.

Went smoothly as planned. Workers were professional and efficient. I'm quite pleased with the results, and so are my dogs.

The job went perfectly. I received a timely ballpark quote over email, then a site visit and same-day estimate. The presentation was professional, answering all my questions, but without any kind of hard sell. The initial downpayment was about 10% and administered through paypal. I paid the balance via credit card. Matt and crew showed up exactly on time, worked steadily, and completed the job in a bit less than 2 days ( faster than quoted). They were careful not to block my neighbors' access, and did a thorough job of cleaning up on both days. The crew was professional and all of them spoke english (I don't like it when a contractor leaves a crew at my home doing a complex job, and none of the crew speaks english). The installation is gorgeous; the turf looks very natural. The entire process was much easier than I'd anticipated. I wish I'd had this done years ago!

After contacting about five companies about artificial turf, I went with Matt from Bay Area Turf. The reason was a combination of competitive pricing and service. Matt worked with me patiently through several design changes. He was prompt in his communication and professional in doing the installation. We have negotiated follow-up care. If the turf holds up as well as I hope, I plan to have Matt install artificial turf in the back as well.
