Arrived on time. Installed the bathroom fan as agreed on. Was careful to be neat and not track debris. Arranged the switching for the light and fan as I requested. Had to cut and patch wall to run wiring, patching job was carefully done.

While we didn't have appliances other than the refrigerator temporarily in the dining room, and no water in the kitchen, we ate breakfast cereals, and depended on ready prepared items like grilled chicken, grilled vegetables, salads etc. purchased at local grocery stores when we didn't eat out. Dennis helped us procure the kitchen sink and faucet when it was obvious that I wasn't aware of local code requirements. He was present for all inspections required by city code. I've always loved anything to do with cooking, so I have spent decades reading cookbooks, and magazines and books about kitchen design, and have cooked in kitchens that lacked counter space, or storage, or were generations old. I've never even hoped to have a kitchen as beautiful or as well designed as my new kitchen is. Never thought I would have quartz counters (marble stains, needs to be resealed regularly), soft close drawers and cabinet doors, corner turntables in the lower cabinets that move each shelf independently of the other. I am in love with my kitchen! The same counter and cabinets were installed in the laundry/powder room with the same easy glide shelves. Dennis enlarged the "closet" for the washer and dryer as those appliances are larger than they were 24 years ago. He put good quality bifold doors up for me. The man who refinished our parquet flooring, the electrician, the man who cut and installed our Quartz counters and backsplashes, all were excellent workmen. The crew Dennis uses daily is comprised of men he has employed for years, and whom he trusts. Dennis was here every day, either doing work or making sure his crew knew what to do, and later that they had complied with his instructions. It wasn't unusual for the men to discuss things by phone with him. Now our en suite bathrooms desperately need to be remodeled. We will hire Dennis again. If you have lived in your home for decades and have every kitchen tool and appliance known to man, make sure you discuss how many cubic feet of storage you have and how much you really need. Plan on achieving the amount and placement of light you need, what local codes require with respect to counter height, space between the counter and upper cabinets, how much counter space you need. I've downsized my cookbooks, discovered that living in a home for decades actually requires that you use all canned goods even if they are tucked way back in a corner because emptying your old cupboards may result in some unpleasant surprises. My new kitchen storage is far more accessible than those old cupboards were. It took awhile to adjust to where things are in my new kitchen because kitchen design has come a long way. I asked for LED lights, easy glide shelves, and maintenance-free counters. I have my own "clean, well lighted place." (Thank you Ernest Hemingway!)

For our Kitchen remodel we got quotes from several contractors. Dennis' wasn't the cheapest, but the amount of information he gave in the quote with several diagrams and the itemized costs breakdown was very impressive. Also when I talked to him I was quite convinced that he was the man for us from his knowledge and experience on the type of work he was doing. Timeliness He estimated the remodel to take 3 weeks and it was done in 2. I have never heard of anyone finishing ahead of schedule, so this was a pleasant surprise to me. He and his team were also on time in the morning. Quality With his contacts he was able to get very high quality cabinets and not the usual Chinese ones. Everyone who sees them comments on how much better our cabinets are when compared to theirs. Apart from that everything else was done to my satisfaction and minor defects that we noticed after the work was done and paid for, he came back couple of times and fixed them. Responsiveness Our communication was mainly by email and he is very quick to respond to my emails. Other: He is a very pleasant guy to work with and my wife and I were very comfortable with him. He is very approachable and understanding and accommodating with our ideas. He even did some of the work for free. Conclusion: Overall we were completely satisified with the quality of work done by Dennis and his team. We have no hesitation in recommending him to others.

Dennis and his crew did a really nice job texturing and painting a converted (fluorescent to LED) light box in my kitchen ceiling. They also added crown molding within the lighted area to give it a nice, finished look. We?re really pleased with how it turned out. Dennis was able to squeeze me in between a couple of bigger jobs that he had on short notice and I appreciated how he was flexible and accommodating to my schedule. I?m considering some other upgrades in my house and would definitely hire Dennis and his team again to do the job.

Everything went quickly. The workers were on time, and kept everything clean.

It went great. The big deal price was $1499. There were additional charges. It was about $8500 minus the $1500. It took quite a while. I don’t know the reason but they didn’t start until the middle of June. I was completely satisfied with them. They came out and did what they were supposed to. I don’t have any negative comments about them. I like the deck a lot.

Dennis was very professional and efficient. He asked that I send a picture of the space needing repair so he could plan the job with the appropriate materials, timing and resources. He sent the project outline/scope to me for review before and we agreed on the date to be scheduled. His worker arrived promptly at the agreed time and completed the work to my satisfaction. I wanted to use their services to add a step to the pathway that leads to Patio. The existing step had to be increased in height and one more step added. The provider said they don't do masonry / concrete service to increase the height of step. He would just lay tiles if steps were already built.

It turned out beautiful. They began in October and finished in December. Dennis and his crew would always show up when they said they would. He was very easy to work with. After he was finished, there were a couple of minor things that needed adjustment, and he was very responsive to coming back and fixing them. I am very happy with the results and would definitely call Dennis again.

Very Happy with the overall job. This is the 3rd time I have had Dennis paint for me. I have always been pleased and confident with his work . I highly recommend Almeida and Son!

Dennis came out to give me a quote and helped me withthe colors I knew what colors I wanted but was not sure about the shades. He made some recommendations that were perfect for my house, he listened to what I didn't like about the exterior and told me the best way to hide those and bring out the characteristics that I really like. It took about a month to get me in the schedule which he told me right from the start it would be that long but it was worth the wait. He and his crew arrived first thing in the morning on each day and they quickly got started, and they were always very polite. At the end of the job everything was cleaned up. My neighbor has even came over after and commented on what a good job that was done with the painting and how impressed he was with the work ethic of the men on the job. I highly recommend them and will call them again.

I highly recommend Dennis and his crew. Dennis is very easy to work with, very responsive, does what he says and says what he does. He really worked with us to complete our project, never trying to nickel and dime us, giving us advice; we changed our mind a few times, he never complained and just made the changes. There were some delayed due to some parts that I was to provide and that were not ready... Dennis just adjusted his work with his other projects. His crew is professional, works hard and cleans up every day. The tiling looks great. Only the plumbing could have been better.

We received a very professional estimate with solid advice as we worked through the options of the remodel in advance. He did warn me when we called that he was booked up for some months, which was OK as we were not on any specific timetable and it was more important to get the right contractor vs the one that seemed to have immediate openings and just waiting for work. After reviewing multiple estimates we selected this contractor based on reasonable price and we were very comfortable with his style and professionalism. The entire process went just as he told us it would. The project started and finished as promised. Each day the crew was there on time and cleaned up after themselves. And most importantly, the finished product and quality was outstanding. We are thrilled with our new bathroom and have decided to continue with more remodeling work using this same contractor. I have worked with other contractors and this is the best I have found and one that I would recommend without hesitation to anyone needing remodel work done in their house -- just be patient, if you want done right for a fair price he is worth waiting for.

It went great. They got all the mold out of my bathroom and I can now live in my house again.

He is awful. He?s trying to save himself money, he?s not doing what?s best for customers. He made a point that it was going to cost him more to use semi-gloss pain on the trim, this paint is standard.

The experience was absolutely great. Dennis was always helpful and responsive from the start, through the whole job, and took care of some minor issues promptly after the job was completed. He even did some additional work (installing an attic fan and relocating some plumbing that was in the way of the new shower) without added cost. His crew was always professional and nice. The final product is great and I plan to have them back in the future to do some more work for me.

When new customers find a General Contractor whose employees can paint, build kitchens and bathrooms, lay tile and associated with licensed electricians and plumbers and a company which easily competes with most contractors.......DO NOT SERIOUSLY CONSIDER ANY OTHER CONTRACTOR. Dennis Almeida and his Team are courteous, punctual, efficient, with hard workers and have always exceed our critical expectations. Hard to find another contractor with so many positive considerations. Be patient with your work assignments.......because of Dennis' growing reputation for quality work, his company is very busy. From beginning to end, a very professional, complete job. Dennis is very outgoing, agreeable and skilled. His crew is responsible, honest, and thorough. My hall bathroom is small but has to accommodate three teenagers (2 boys, 1 girl). The bathroom was a mess, smelled of mildew and mold, and was impossible to keep clean. There was no fan so walls and wood around medicine cabinet were black with mold. Dennis and crew demo'd the walls down to the studs, treated the mold, put cement board in shower and completely redid the entire bathroom. The tub he recommended and installed is beautiful -- solid and deep. I got to pick out my toilet, pedestal sink, hardware, tiles, medicine cabinet, and light fixture -- which I prefer to having them picked out for me. I had a vision and wanted to go as "low-flow" as I could while providing more space to the floorplan. The bathroom is now perfect. I almost don't think I can trust my teenagers to respect it as much as I want them to!! Thanks, Dennis. I'll be calling you again for other projects.

Dennis has been absolutely great to work with from our first contact to completion. He offered many useful suggestions as we figured out the final scope of the project and the final product looks great! His crew is very professional and helpful. We highly recommend to anyone and we have them doing more work (bathroom remodels and interior paint) for us.

I am loving my house all over again thanks to Almeida & Son Painting Co. The house looks fantastic and the overall experience was excellent from start to finish. From the first moment I met Dennis, the owner, I knew he was the right person for the job. He was prompt, professional, very responsive and extremely easy to work with throughout the project. Out of 4 estimates, he was the only one that gave me a color consulation. My house has a lot of wood trim and he made some suggestions on which parts of the trim should be "highlighted" and which ones should be hidden...in the end, he was spot on and as a bonus my house looks bigger! Dennis and his crew did a great job prepping my house by sanding the wood trim in the front, patching numerous holes (and a big chunk of stucco that was missing in the back), replacing loose nails with exterior screws, and putting elastomeric on the wood trim to give it a nice finish. I believe all the prep work they did is the reason why the house looks as good as it does. To no fault of Dennis, there was slight mix-up with the type of paint (low sheen vs semi-gloss) on the front door and when I mentioned it to him, he came back that same day with the correct type of paint to resolve the issue. When I contacted Dennis a week later for a few minor punch list, he quickly responded and got it done. How awesome is that. In the end, the house looks really great and I could not be more thrilled with Almeida & Son Painting Co. Dennis truly cares about the outcome of the project. I highly recommend his company without hesitation for all your painting needs. The professionalism, dependability, customer service, and expertise are unparalleled. I now have a new house and it's such a pleasure to drive up to my house. Thank you Dennis and your crew!! I have already recommended them to my parents and friends. I very highly recommend Dennis Almeida. He is the real deal. It was one of the best decisions that I have made and I'm extremely happy with the work he had done. We got a quote for 4 different contractors and picked Dennis for a number of reasons. First, he really understood what we wanted and communicated extremely well. Second, his price was comparable to the other 3 guys and was very reasonable. Third his reputation on Angie's List. Dennis did a lot of work as listed above. He and crew did everything in about 2 weeks before we moved into our new home. After the work was done, we had several people remark how awesome the job was. Here's what worked very well for us: 1. Professionalism - Dennis' professionalism stood out amongst the other contractors that we interviewed and got the quotes from. He was punctual, pleasant, and communicated well. He took our ideas down, had a computer modeling done to help us visualize, suggested some great ideas himself, and helped out with the project. 2. Super-responsive - During the 2 weeks when Dennis was here, he was always available over email or phone. I would go to Home Depot and would have a question about the type of stuff that I need to be picking up. Within minutes he would respond back with a text or an email or a phone call. At the end of the day, he gave an update of all the work done and keep us posted. 3. Great crew - Dennis has been working with his crew Douglas, Homer, and Angel for about 5 years. They worked hard and got the whole thing done in 2 weeks. I have heard horror stories from my friends how they had to chase down their contractors to wrap up work. Not with Dennis. He was there every single day very early in the morning, got a lot of work done during a typical day, and gave an update at the end of the day. We didn't have to check in on the home everyday. It was all magically getting done without any supervision needed on our part. Can't tell you how much we appreciated this piece of mind. 4. Personality - It was fun to work with Dennis and he was a nice guy with a good sense of humor and a lot of patience. Being new home owners, we didn't know a lot of things and we were also going back and forth on a few things - paint color, etc. Dennis was extremely accommodating and pleasant throughout. 5. Quality of work - It was awesome! We were so happy with the work and just sat there for a long time admiring everything when it was all done. Everyone who saw our home were impressed by the quality of work. I'll post an update with a before and an after picture soon. 6. Went above and beyond: My wife wanted a kitchen nook and she had some pictures from a DIY project found online. All we had to do was buy the materials and Dennis and Angel put it all together. He didn't charge us for the additional work and I thought it was a nice gesture. In a nutshell - if you are looking for a contractor, definitely hire Dennis. It would be one of the best decisions you would have made. He checks on everything - professionalism, cost, quality of work, responsiveness, and he was also a single source for all the work that needed to be done.
