The job was done in a very professional manner, crew showed on time and the job was done on the date we were given. | Since then he has branched in construction and if all is done the same way it should be great. I would use his firm again.

Description of Work: They were GREAT at reaching out to me within 24 hours. I had a "rush" job that needed to be completed so they were great at trying to accommodate me. In the end, when I gave them my address (which was different from what was on file because we recently moved), they were not able to perform the service in that area.

They worked quickly and efficiently and took care of any special requests we had before they were done with the job. I would use them in the future and refer friends and family to Dennis and his company.

Description of Work: I purchased this deal to have the carpet in my living room and bedroom replaced with laminate. In addition I wanted some cabinets located between my living room and dining room removed. I have 2 sconces and my dining room light fixture replaced. I addition I wanted a ceiling fan installed. When Dennis came out he said that the work would be more than the 40 hours I purchased and sent me a quote for $2,725 at a minimum to $3,475 if I wanted baseboards as well in addition to the $1,400 of the big deal money. I asked him to remove installing the lighting fixtures and the ceiling fan and just quote the work to remove the cabinets and do the floors. I also said that I didn't need the baseboards in the living room, but would for the bedroom. The revised quote was for $2,675 and included $550 for the baseboards. I had a quote from another contractor for $499 to install the ceiling fan and $1,000 to remove the cabinets, carpet in the living room and lay the laminate. My bedroom is much smaller than my living room, but if you add $1,000 onto that the total would be $2,500. I was surprised that Dennis' quote was a total of $4,125 at a minimum for work that I can get done elsewhere for $2,500. I asked him if I could get a refund and he asked me to contact you. So this is why I'm requesting the refund.

Description of Work: The deal seemed attractive, and we needed exactly the kind of work it offered, so I signed up. A few days later I received an email from Dennis Almeida, the service provider, saying that my town, Pinole, was outside their service area. He said he had informed Angie's list of my ineligibility, and that I should apply for a refund. I guess I was a bit annoyed that Angie's List would have offered me a deal for which I was ineligible, and that they (you) would continue to hold my deposit ($824 is not small change to me) and place the burden of applying for a refund on me, rather than simply canceling the charge against my credit card. The Angie's List represent with whom I spoke was pleasant and helpful in directing me to this site. I have had very good experiences through Angie's List, and I know that you are concerned with the quality of customer service. There must be a simpler way of handling cancelations.

Description of Work: Dennis was a dream to work with...always keeping me updated about the date they would be here, helping me choose the proper paint product and cheerfully working side-by-side his workers. He and his crew were fast, neat and very personable. I will be using them again...with or without and AL Big Deal.

Description of Work: I needed to have my garage insulated and sheetrocked,both walls and ceiling, and open cupboards built in the back to store stained glass sheets. Almeida arrived on time and understood my needs. I was sent a contract clearly stating the work to be done and the cost of materials. The job was scheduled for June 5 through 7. So far, I have found Almeida to be friendly and professional and am looking forward the completed job. Highly recommend!
