The Duct Cleaning Pros

Description of Work: Cleaned ducts, plus other extra's that I asked for... Excellent service..

Description of Work: Dan and his assistant came to the appointment on time and cleaned the dryer vent. They were quick and clean. I also bought two electromagnetic filters from Dan. One fit perfectly and the other is not squared and is taking several visits to get the fit correct. I am still waiting for the latest correction to be made and installed.

Description of Work: I hesitated to give this review since the service was really poor but I also want to give this person a chance to probably improve his skills in due time. Anyway, here's what happened: | |The response was quick enough. The person, Dan, came in a bit late, according to my husband who stayed home to assist him. I was told that he was apologetic enough. He started the job, but my husband called me to come home from work ASAP due to a problem. When I arrived, Dan was telling me that his brush got stuck in the vent and the wall had to be opened. Worst part was that he said the cost for a contractor to do this is our cost and not covered with the amount we paid. My husband offered to do it, given this is a cost we never expected! Dan offered, or attempted to help by cutting a square foot of the wall. It did not hit the spot. Another guy came, looked like a contractor, or his part partner, to assess the situation. Dan had to leave to pick up his son. The second guy assessed and said the wall should not have been cut as it is not necessary. The brush might just be caught in the corner of the vent but can still be taken out as it is just in a vent tube. He did say that maybe the vent is now clean. So, he left as we did not want to pay extra to fix the drywall. After an hour or so, Dan came back, did what the second guy recommended by wiggling and pushing the wire back and forth. In less than 5 mins, the brush came out! He did not proceed to thoroughly clean the vent, to our opinion. He cleaned the laundry area and closed the vent opening, and commented that since we see lent came out outside, it is good. He closed the job by offering to give us the airconditioning unit filter for free, however, he said since he missed to carry the one that fits ours, he will come back to bring it in. He did not and have not heard from him since. We ended fixing our drywall ourselves and since we are not professionals in this area, it does look ugly, but at least it is fixed. | |I commended my husband to be so kind and forgiving on him, he was really patient and silent, considering him being a lawyer and knows what really transpired in this service. We guessed that Dan was still a newbie in this type of business. Him leaving to pick up his son was very understandable. He did miss to realize that our time off work were valuable that arrangements could have been made in advance. The extra anxiety for an additional cost was not appreciated.

Description of Work: It cost $50 more to get the job done and when he finished I discover that my gutters still had leaves and my downspout were plug with leaves. The next rain we had my gutters overflowed with water and I had to have my son-in law redo the cleaning .

Description of Work: Cleaned the gutter of my rental property. I am pleasantly surprised that they also washed down the roof tiles and walls which were covered with pigeon droppings. The work were good and satisfactory. Will use them again.

Description of Work: I had purchased the Angie's List Big Deal for a $59.00 Dryer Vent cleaning, I was able to schedule through email and they came on time. Unfortunately, because our dryer and washer are both on a large wooden pedestal that my husband made, it was going to cost extra in labor in order to move it all to do it. Instead, he told me I'd get a refund, and explained how I could easily do the job myself if I could just find some people to help move the dryer. The worker then went on to explain other services that they provide, including a very affordable duct cleaning ($179) for Angie's List subscribers. I will be calling the back to do that service in the next few months. I appreciate their help and professionalism, even if they didn't do the initial job.
