The Duct Cleaning Pros

Received an email right away from Dan stating he would be in contact to set up an appointment. A week later I had still not heard anything so I sent him an email and I also called him. When he answered the phone he informed me his equipment had been stolen and apologized. I realize this was out of his control but his tone and attitude was not real kind in the manner of how I like to be treated. I went back and read some more reviews and did not like how one customer stated he yelled at his employees in front of the customer. Dan may perform good work according to a lot of his reviews. But to me customer service is everything. I am willing to pay more for good customer service.

I requested 3 morning times for them to come. I received an email with an afternoon only message. I called them Saturday morning and he gave me quite a bad time over trying to get more flexibility in their availibility. He wanted to know very specific information and said there would be extra costs for the size of our home. After everything went on and on, we finallyy scheduled for today. He has never showed up or called at all. I am getting a refund at this point and will not be using their servcies.

My three-year old dryer was not heating properly and taking up to two hours to dry a normal load of clothing. Originally, I called a washer/dryer repair man, but he told me over the phone that he thought my dryer vent was clogged and recommended hiring someone who unclogged dryer vents. I took advantage of one of Angie's "deals" that offered dryer vent cleaning for $59, unfortunately, through no fault of his own, the provider could not do the job. So, I was forced to use a replacement, the Duct Cleaning Pros, chosen by Angie's List. Of course, I had to pay full price. First, before scheduling the replacement provider, I tested the dryer myself by pulling it out and removing the vent hose, and since it worked fine when I did that, I assumed there was, indeed, a clog. The man from Duct Cleaning Pros determined that there was no clog, but that the hose was badly crushed, which was probably causing the dryer to work as if there was a clog. He replaced the hose with a piece of hose that I already had, and the dryer worked fine. Since he had his son with him, I offered to pay them to move my washer and dryer set by switching their positions. Since my washer and dryer set were front loading, the original installer had put them on the wrong sides, so that when both doors were opened they hit each other in the middle of the two machines. Also, it made it hard to move the wet clothes to the dryer because the doors were in the way. The Duct Cleaning Pros switched the machines around for me, and would not accept additional payment. Needless to say, I was very pleased. The Duct Cleaning Pros were prompt, courteous, professional and friendly. What more could you ask for?

They came when they were supposed to and did a great job. I will know more about the quality of the air from the ducts (dust) in the future. Right now; it is too early to tell.

The only problem was that it took them a long time to come out and do the work. This was the first time that I used them, and they seemed to do a good job.

He came and cleaned the gutters. He came right out after I called. He got a lot of stuff out of them.He cleaned up the mess as well. The service turned out fine. We were very happy with him.

The service was okay. The service was pretty basic. He could not access all of the ducts. We also did not have then install the filter.

Dryer vent cleaning: instead of cleaning vent - removed existing hard venting and replaced with cheap foil tubing that bends and will collect lint. Will have to have it replaced to restore to original (original materials damaged in removal). Gutter cleaning: simply use high powered hose to clean out. Leaves the windows dirty. Note: technician was very nice and performed well. It is the co's process that is the problem.

The cleaning of debris went well but the provider arrived too late in the day to finish before dark. The mud and debris were power washed from the roof/gutters and the mess was sprayed all over everything I own outdoors, including the neighbor's newly painted house, the driveway, the patio, the garage door, the front walk, the side yard, fire wood, picnic table, everything. It was too dark for the provider to finish so he left after a rough, partial clean-up of some of the mess. In the morning I saw the full extent of the mess. I was left with many hours of clean-up and am still not finished 10 days later. Without a power washer it all had to be done by hand with brushes and brooms, shovels and a shop vac. I am glad to have the gutters clean but it will be a long time until I'm cleaned up from the episode. Perhaps I was naive but I fully expected that I would hear from the provider, making plans to return to finish a day or two later. I haven't heard a word since the provider left that first night. There has been no follow up, no contact. I think I learned what I needed to know about this contractor. Perhaps a better outcome was possible but I opted not to deal with him again. Something was just plain wrong with that arrangement.

He came exactly when he said he would. He managed to move the washer over. He worked quickly and was done in an hour. He upgraded the hose. I was very satisfied.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it turned out very well. I also purchased an electrostatic filter so I spent $60 additional above the Big Deal price. They are quick and efficient. When they find something that needs to be fixed they do it. They have helped me out with a lot of stuff and I appreciated it. They called me a lot and I was still sick.

Arrived on time. The owner and one employee. New company just getting started. Immediately increased charges due to the fact that I have a multi story home. Had some trouble with unusual duct runs but made it work. Was nice to have all the duct covers cleaned. I added on the dryer vent cleaning service which I negotiated the price down from what he quoted - just way out of line with other offers I'd seen. They had a lot of trouble cleaning the dryer vent. The owner was really rude to his employee and yelled at him a couple of times. Made me feel uncomfortable - thought that was pretty uprofessional. When it came time to disclose the filter that was the free with the offer - I was told it really isn't that good of quality. He recommended better filters for an additional cost. So I bought great filters for quite a bit more money. I have 2 returns but they only had one available so the filter had to be ordered. He ordered it and delivered it but it took at least another month or two and I had to call to find out what had happened to it.

Very professional, punctual. Service went really well, but with some unexpected charges: 1. Plus $20 since our dryer vent is on the second floor (the equipment had to be brought upstairs) 2. Plus $20 for a replacement dryer hose (the original was improperly attached and of the wrong type I'm told)

Due to my wife's insistence on having the gutters cleaned on our house, I purchased a special on Angie's List from DCP: The Duct Cleaning Pro's. Dan, of DCP, sent an email confirmation and I called him to set a date and time for the cleaning the next week. Even though there were some obstructions by a screen over the gutter, Dan and his associate were able to work around them using a power washer, and cleaned the gutters thoroughly. Definitely, the service can be recommended on the basis of the price, quality of work, promptness and pleasantness of staff. Dan explained that duct and vent cleaning was their specialty, although we did not use that service.

Punctual service. Explain what to be done and provided info on equipment used. Took the time to complete their work. I would use this service again.
